Great experience with the veterinary services here! Easy to schedule online. Appointment was completely on schedule. My pet was diagnosed and treated promptly. I felt that the pricing for all that was needed was fair also.I'll be back!

Went into the Petco at Chaska. The day before had previously spent over $400 on various aquarium items, however noticed that we were double charged for a heater and went back in to correct the issue. The moment we walked in, we were off to a bad start. Mary was the cashier, the same girl who checked us out the day before. She was unfriendly off the bat, no smile, no greeting, nothing. Must have been having a bad day? We explained the reason that we were there and it went downhill further. She brought over a manager, Steve. Who then started to "explain" the receipt to us, as if we were stupid. The receipt clearly stated 2@ $64.99, totaling $102.66. But he tried to say "just ignore the 2, I know it's a complicated receipt and you can sit here and analyze it all day but it's still the same price." I'm not a stupid person so politely pointed out that it did not make sense. Was so rudely brushed off and he walked away. Continued to work with Mary, who continued to be extremely rude and not helpful. Girl, if you hate your job that much, just quit, like jeez. Should be fired really. Then asked to speak with a manager due to her attitude. Steve came back up. I pointed out that we're not trying to be difficult and that it's an easy solution and that they don't need to be so rude. The worst employees I've come across. We've been very good customers, even signed up for vital care premier, and will be discontinuing that immediately. Will never shop there again. Petco should be appalled to employee both Mary & Steve.

I can appreciate employees that care about the homes the animals they sell go to, but there can be reasonable lines, like when it comes to fish. We've had various fish for many years as well as other animals, including the varieties of fish we wanted to buy. But the staff wasn't "comfortable" selling them to us base on how "happy" they thought the fish would be. Mind you the fish we wanted were right next to the feeder goldfish that are sold as pet food, not far from the mealworms and other live creatures also sold as food and many of the tanks looked to be in poor condition with dead or sick fish in them. Thankfully there was a nearby Petsmart that was happy to sell us the fish we wanted without a million questions or expressing their personal views and fish that were in clean tanks that looked like they were well cared for. So from now on that is where we'll also be buying the cat food for our 3 cats, dog food for our 3 dogs, rabbit food, lizard and fish food.

Showed up 5 minutes late for my dogs grooming appointment. Then waited for 10 minutes before someone spoke to me. Then I was told because I was late, they no longer could honor our appointment. Seriously?! This is the WORST customer service I have encountered. I do not recommend their grooming services and will not return.

not just this petco, but chain pet stores in general. the examples i provide are specific to this petco. every time i come here, i see SOMETHING wrong. they carry problematic supplies marketed for an animal that cannot benefit from that item. for example: i saw an alfalfa hay hide with honey flavoring marketed towards rats. rats cannot digest alfalfa and usually will not eat it. since it is flavored with honey, the rats will eat it and could possibly get their digestive tract clogged from the hay. the animals are in poor conditions. the chameleons are almost always on the bottom of the cage (not normal chameleon behavior) and the leopard geckos are usually underneath their carpet (not normal - also, reptile carpet can wear down lizard toes and should never be used). the beta fish are in tiny little bowls and are usually on the brink of death. last example: a few weeks ago, i was walking out of petco with my crickets i had bought and i see a little white mouse run along the side of the building. i identified her as a female and i had guessed she had escaped from the clutches of an irresponsible buyer. i can just imagine a child walking out with his new pet and his parents saying "don't take the mouse out!" but the kid doing it anyway and losing it, not knowing how to tell his parents. the employees often know close to nothing about the animals they keep IN THEIR STORE. i have a lot of problems with chain pet stores, but especially the chaska petco. i kept the mouse by the way - her name is daisy. i got her a friend, rosemary. don't shop chain - i know it's convenient but it's just not a good thing to invest in. my personal favorite shop is "twin cities reptiles" in st. paul, not saying they are perfect but the employees tend to be knowledgeable and they keep their animals in good conditions. blessed be!

The worst imaginable place to take your dog. They never have anything in stock. They never have enough cashiers or groomers. You will be waiting for over an hour. They also entered my dog's rabies shot inaccurately and said it wasn't current. I had paperwork showing that she had a three-year shot and we still had two years left. Mistakes, really bad customer service, no inventory and the place is a mess. And they don't care.

This store does not answer the phone ever and web site says they never have available grooming. So why are they still in town?

Had the worst experience today at petco Chaska. I took my dog to his grooming appointment with the grooming manager. This is the worst he’s ever looked, I said I wanted one inch off… a trim… she left one inch of hair on him. Needless to say he is bald. It is winter, in Minnesota. I am DEVESTATED. Heartbroken. in complete shock. She didn’t listen to any of my concerns or needs she just took a razor and got him done. When I asked her, “What happened? Why didn’t you call me?”she had nothing to say except, what do you want me to do about it? She was rude, horrible customer service, she should have her grooming license revoked after what my dog went through. I called the GM and will continue my efforts to make sure no one takes their furry family members to get groomed there.
