“Having a hardware store this close has been an absolute game-changer for us, living on Minnewashta Park. This is the closest hardware store I’ve ever had in any home throughout my life, and it’s been incredibly convenient. Every staff member is exceptionally friendly, no matter when I visit. They always make me feel important and genuinely cared for – it’s the little things they do that make a big difference.
Josh, in particular, always ensures that what I need will actually work. I’ve never experienced this level of care and attention in any hardware store before.
For anyone in the Excelsior or Shorewood areas of Minnesota, close to Lake Minnetonka, I highly recommend this local hardware store. Their outstanding service and convenient location make it a go-to spot for all your hardware needs.

“Great experience with the Merlin’s team. I had multiple employees ask if I needed help or support while I was in the store. Chris was extremely helpful locating the correct fittings as well as educating me on how to install said fittings.”
“We were cautious to order from this store because it is a on-line store only and we did not find many reviews. We ordered the white baroque balusters from Deckorators and they arrived quickly and in good condition. The owner responded to our e-mailed questions promptly. I would buy from this company again. “Ordered lumber from Siweks Jordan Lumber Yard for our 16' × 16' raised garden bed project. Lumber was delivered on time and placed exactly where I had asked on the property. Upon inspection, one of my corner posts for the fence was visibly bowed. I contacted them and, to my surprise, they didn't even hesitate to swap it out for me and even sent someone back same day with a replacement since i dont own a truck that can deliver that size of post. This level of service was incredibly unexpected. Siweks stands by their products and ensures the customer is satisfied. Any future lumber needs I have will definitely be going to them. Crazy part of it all is their prices were cheaper than the big box stores and their service and final product is so much better.
Long story short, best customer experience I've had in a number of years and I will 100 percent use Siweks on my future projects.

They've never been out of stock anytime I've ever been there or needed anything. Which is very important as a contractor. I just never know when i'll have to stop in and grab someone. I can usually get in and out in 5 min which is important to me(even though I wanna look around longer). Plain and simple great place to shop. “Bought a weed trimmer, fairly easy transaction. They were busy but guys would bop around asking if you need help. I was in and out quick. Seems like they have a good supply and higher quality equipment than Lowe’s or Home Depot.”
“Wow, great service! I needed a 10 pound food grade CO2 tank exchange and the brew shop only carries 5 pound tanks. When I walked in the door the guy walked out of the back room with exactly what I needed, apparently he saw the tank as I got it out of my trunk and he went to get it before I even opened the door!”
“Always helpful. I always got a weird project and just need small things, a few bolts or a small can of paint. I like that I can walk there get my things and keep moving. If they don't have something they will give suggestions on where to check next. Way easier than walking around a big box store for an hour.”

“This will have to be my new go-to home improvement store. I went in needing very specific light bulbs and some blinds cut. A guy in the lighting department knew exactly what light bulbs I needed and took me to the blinds and cut them. Like, when do you ever go to a store and find someone who can help you find everything you need? Great customer service, I'll be back just for that.”
“Get gas here sometimes . Never been inside so I am limited on any more real info I have . and pay at the pump works after hours I believe they do also sell kerosene here which is not easy to find .”
“Typically have good experiences here but every 3rd or 4th trip will either have bad service (worse is no service) or in my most recent trip the entire plumbing aisle blocked by pallets of product. Since I needed plumbing items I left all the products I was going to buy and went to home depot instead.
Went back today and the aisles were open but never saw an employee until I checked out.”
“Stopped today to get a start of flowers for the yard. Great selection and lots of healthy looking plants. Their vegetables and herbs are out, and they had a good selection as well. The cashier was very friendly and was very careful with the plants as she checked us out.”

“Lowe's is a good store although the entrance doors always confuse me. the entrance and exits are not like ordinary stores such as home Depot or Menards they say emergency exit when there's no other way to go out kind of confusing not a huge deal but they are not as cheap as Menards and are comparable to Home Depot they are a bit closer to my house so I no longer go to home Depot mostly Lowe's”
