First time here, we paid for extra time as my son is autistic and needs to take breaks. When he was getting overwhelmed, the stylist chose to smother him and hold him instead of backing up, making the situation worse and causing him to cry. I didn’t feel like it was worth paying extra money for extra time when they seem to rush anyways.
My other son did great with his stylist. I liked her, she seemed more kid friendly and patient in my opinion. I will never return here nor recommend this place to anybody I know with kids. I have already told people to stay away.

I came to this location for the first time yesterday evening and was helped by Melissa. I made the appointment last minute earlier that morning and I appreciated them squeezing my daughter in before her birthday and party which was the following day (today). I also appreciate her washing her hair as a last minute request.
Regardless of all that, her hair cut was horrible. I didn’t say anything in the moment because this was my daughter’s first experience in any type of salon since I am a cosmetologist myself and have always cut all of my kids hair. The point was for her to be pampered and so I just let it happen and didn’t say anything as to not ruin her experience.
I had to completely fix her hair myself today. I asked for about 3 inches to be cut and layers put in. My daughter has curly hair and it is different textured throughout. The underneath has tighter curls and the top layer is more like very loose curls. The hair stylist (Melissa) has curly hair herself so I don’t know why she cut it with full tension. Her top “layers” were longer then the bottom layers, once dried it looked like a triangle and boxy on the bottom. When looking from the back, it sloped at an angle so when looking at her from the front, one side was shorter then the other. So I had to cut more off today just to fix and it make it look nice for her party. I will never go back to this location again and I canceled my other daughter’s appointment that I had also set for the next day.
I did not ask for a refund, I just called to make them and her aware so that hopefully she doesn’t do it to someone else going forward.

We get our kids hair cut here. They always seem to enjoy it and are pretty relaxes, watching TV while they get a cut.

We’ve been using Kid’s Hair since our son’s first hair cut at one, and he’s two and a half now! Set up perfectly for kids, and every stylist we’ve had has been excellent at the Chanhassen location! My son is no longer afraid of getting his hair cut, and I think the Kid’s Hair experience really made a difference! I would recommend making an appointment instead of walk-in, because they are usually pretty busy.

Melissa(Missy) did a wonderful job with my 15yr old and my 3 yr old!! She is wonderful with my kids!! We have been coming to Missy for years and will always go to her. She is amazing with kids!

After some bad experiences at other places, my Son loves this Kids Hair and on of the staff signs a little with deaf son.

Highly recommend! I brought my daughter here today and her hair stylist, Missy, was clearly great with kids and did a fantastic job. I was really impressed with this salon! They have little TV’s with cartoons for the kids and the overall vibe is fun. We will definitely be bringing our kids here in the future for their hair cuts!
