Terrible hours and no longer have a change sorting machine at any of their branches. TCF used to be great but it is going downhill fast after Huntington took over. Been a customer for over 20 years but I am considering a change now.

Drove out to Chan and walked in to open a CD at 4:10pm (check in hand) and they wouldn’t do it - said I needed an appointment and they do not do anything like that after 4pm, even though they are open until 5pm. So just a warning to others - go before 4pm. Took my $ somewhere else.

Occasionally the outside atm doesn't work but that isn't their fault. The drive thru is also very narrow but otherwise a great branch.

During the work hours, no one answered the phone. I left messages and never got a call back. Poor customer service.

They refused to take a coin deposit of $4 in quarters from my nine year old daughter into her savings account. Teller says she is not allowed to deposit 12 coins into her savings account. Great way to teach a kid about saving....

Don't expect any valid curreny exchanges. After waiting for 30 minutes for the teller to fill out the exchange for Euros to dollars I got a call that they do not accept Euro coins. Every place you go they giuve you coins as change, but according to Huntington this is not a vallid currency.

If you bank at Huntington, you're in for some real trouble if you actually "need" to deal with a real person. I've been trying to close my accounts there since they merged with TCF and have been given multiple different excuses about why the person I'm talking to can't close my accounts. This is the branch closest to my home. I have literally been in there 4 times just trying to get all of my money out of there and into a new bank. The teller here told me that I should call customer service to close my accounts. Customer service told me I have to do it in person. I went back there, and the teller told me I needed an appointment - so I tried calling this bank to make one. Literally every time, the phone rings and rings and I get nothing but an answering machine saying everyone is busy and to call back later.I was finally able to get the remainder of my money out of there by using their "online bill pay" and sending myself a check, but I had to speak to their fraud department to actually make it happen. It took forever, but they finally sent me a check which I was able to deposit into my new bank. I then waited a few days to make sure it actually happened, and then called customer service to close my accounts - which they said they did. I looked today, and my account is indeed no longer active.

The ATM hasn’t worked for the last 3 weeks or only had 1$ bills in it. Avoid banking with Hunting.
