This company is complete and total trash they treat their employees like garbage exp. They dont let their employee's use the bathroom, they don't let them leave to go to the doctor if there sick even if it turns out to be a virus potentially fatal to kids and then decline to inform parents when informed this was the case, the don't schedule them full hours as a full time emyploee they will even give them no hours at all some weeks so I say again this company is a terrible place for anyone employees and children I advise no one to ever go here if you care about yourself or the people you would send here

Our daughter attended this school for one year beginning when she was 2 years old. (Beginning in the fall of 2017.) There are aspects of what we have experienced at CLA that were positive. Our daughter loved the dance studio and culinary days. The physical environment is quite stunning, and for a long time that “children’s museum” vibe was enough for us. However, several other issues stacked up over time and ultimately we left CLA.Potty Training: Rather than waiting for a child’s cues for readiness, CLA instead does potty training on a strict schedule based on moving a child up to a diaper-free classroom at 33 months. Furthermore, any toilet training support completely ceases after a child transitions to that classroom-- so toilet tries are spaced MUCH further apart and there are no facilities to handle accidents (no changing tables or wet wipes). Additionally, several of our kiddo's accidents, according to her teacher, occurred when she has been waiting in line to use the bathroom. It seems like two toilets would have been a design choice that would have better served a classroom with almost 20 kids who are all new to using the toilet.Playground Safety: And while it might have seemed like a minor passing moment, I did witness two school-aged children beating up a third child on the playground. The two staff members on the playground were talking with each other by the door and were not “stationed” in a way where they could supervise the playground. I understand that kids fight sometimes, but my expectation is that there be supervision and awareness by the staff so that they can address whatever problems may come up. This went on long enough that I saw it from my car as I pulled into the school, was able to park and exit my car, and walk over to the fence to get the teachers’ attention.Conferences: They do conferences once per year. Minnesota statutes require two conferences per year, so I asked about this. I felt that with their class sizes, short chats at pick-up weren't a great time to discuss any milestones, behaviors, etc.Other red flags that I’ve noticed and also wanted to mention:Why hasn’t CLA volunteered to do a Parent Aware rating? Why hasn’t CLA pursued or been granted NAEYC accreditation? And finally, I shared all of this feedback with the director and never heard back.

This is an incredible childcare. The facilities are impressive, the curricula is very appropriate, and the staff teaches it well. My children love going here. The staff are always appropriate, appear to enjoy their work, and make my children feel loved. We’ve shopped all over the cities, and these guys are the best. Reasonably priced (less expensive than and much higher quality than Kinderberry or Primrose). I simply can’t recommend them more highly. Ten stars if I could give bonuses!

My daughter has a lot of fun there everyday. Only downside is I wish they offer better food options

Such a great facility! Really great amenities inside and out. The location is right off of Highway 5, so it's quite easy to see from the road from either direction... It's a little difficult to get into the parking lot because you need to go and make a U-turn about a block in Galpin.... But that's just city planning....Skye is a wonderful teacher! You can tell how much passion she has day in and day out!

We had quite a few anxieties about starting a daycare outside of the home for our 4 year old. He is a very picky eater, doesn't like to see mom leave, and he needs assistance with the bathroom from time to time. We started here a little over a month ago and the staff have all been amazing. I was able to do a 3 our preview day; both of my children were able to play in their classrooms while I watched them on TVs from the front desk. No questions were asked about me hanging around watching my kiddos and in fact they have an open door policy to come whenever is right for each family.I really enjoyed this flexibility. Many other childcare centers want children to arrive by xxx time in the morning; well that xxx time was never right for our family. Having the freedom to drop off and pick up whenever is right for us is amazing. The food is made on site and the menu has a good variety. Each day you have a staff member greet you which I value greatly. All classrooms are large in size and there are multiple "special" classrooms that kids visit on a rotating basis. The playgrounds enormous adequately supervised. Each month we are sent home a workbook for my pre-schooler so I can see what he has been up to and every week we get a few sheets and projects sent home.My 2 year is still adjusting at drop off, but that is to be expected. Many times he is done crying by the time I'm leaving the building; if he isn't I'm able to sit and watch him on the TVs if I choose. The teachers are very good at having me "hand him off" to a person which is nice vs. leaving him cry on the floor when I leave.I really cannot say enough good stuff about this daycare/preschool. I would recommend to anyone.

We have been at CLA since they had opened this location. My son is 8 & was not challenged at his old center. CLA has been soon good for him & over the summer his reading level jumped 2 levels. Now that school has started I love how they have a time set aside to do homework or reading. Our family has been blessed by CLA.

Fantastic! The teachers greet me and my daughter by name every morning and go above any beyond to share little stories about her day. Everyone is always smiling and welcoming! I feel lucky we got in here!

They are discriminatory. They led me on and then refused to allowed my son in due to an IEP. It is against the law to discriminate against children with IEPs, according to the ADA. They strung us along, didn’t answer phone calls and emails, and then went completely silent. They told me one thing the initial day I interviewed and then changed it to suit their own needs without informing me. Very poor business practices.

My daughter transferred to the Chanhassen location from the Maple Grove one, and we've been very impressed with the Chanhassen center. If my daughter does something special in class, we get an email with pictures rather than just one weekly recap email that might have a picture of her. My daughter is also on an IEP and they have been very accommodating, allowing her teachers to test her and observe her play at daycare. She has truly blossomed at this school, and it's been so nice to have one consistent teacher with her the entire time she's been there (thanks Mia!). One thing I'd appreciate more is having the school offer up opportunities for parent involvement. I understand most parents who use child care work, but I love helping whenever I can. Overall, we're very pleased with the school itself, the teachers and staff, and everything my daughter learns when she's there.

The staff at CLA Chanhassen is caring, friendly and accommodating. It's so fun when the kids share what they are learning at school and to hear them talk about their friends and experiences. The best part about the school is that the kids rotate through rooms with different themes throughout the day. On any given day, they could visit the kitchen, the gym, bowling and a variety of other settings that keep things exciting and entertaining.

Like many first-time parents, I took finding the right childcare pretty seriously. I wanted to find a place that felt like an extension of our family. After striking out with our first care provider, I was thrilled - and relieved! - to find that CLA was an amazing fit. From the first time we walked through the doors, we have been embraced with the kindness and compassion I was looking for. Every day, I can go to work knowing that my baby is in good hands - she is happy, safe, stimulated, and surrounded by people who really care for her.

We absolutely love CLA Chanhassen. We commute an extra 20 minutes every morning because that is the location closest to our home. Our children are excited to get dropped off in the morning and can't wait to share about their day when we pick them up. So many opportunities for play and for learning. My husband and I wish we would have had the opportunity to attend CLA growing up. We are treated like family and feel our children are in great hands every day. Thank you CLA for being so welcoming, making sure our children are safe, healthy and cared for in our absence. We recommend this facility and location and welcome any questions.
