I’ve never done this before, but I’m at my wits end with this bank. After fulfilling my obligations with a car loan six years ago, it is taking me more than five weeks to get a lien release letter… And I still don’t have it. I’ve made three different phone calls, and even an in person visit to a branch office. Time and time again I get the same promises—hard copy, fax, email—and still I have no lien release letter. The phone chain you have to use to reach somebody is ridiculously complicated and constantly sends you to places you don’t want to be. I don’t know how this bank remains in business with the way that their systems seem to be set up. The worst customer care I received in years.

All of a sudden I started getting bank statements from this bank without even going to one of its branches or applying for it online. Every time I receive a statement with zero balance with a different bank account number. What a fluke of a bank!

My employer banks with this hostile takeover bank, my employer cuts me a physical check every three months to pay for my mobile phone bill, i have been taking said check directly to BMO in the past to cash with no issues until today, today they tried to charge me ten dollars to cash the check because i don't have an account with them, what a crock, your name is on the check!?Unbelievable****UPDATE****I have contacted BMO Harris via the email address provided by them below. I have heard no response, so basically they respond to poor reviews with generic replies to pretend they care, but they do not

I don't want to disparage the reviews of others, I have banked at this branch for many years and my experience is positive. I have not noticed the hours being incorrect, they have been open when I stop in but the covid-19 issues may be a challenge to keep up with. Although only the drive up has been open I still find the service by the staff to be friendly and efficient. I have even redeemed series EE bonds at the drive up without issue. Maybe it's luck but I don't think so. Big banks have policies that can be rigid and unreasonable at times but the staff here have always tried hard to help me and I appreciate the service. Thank you

I’ve been meaning to write this for years. This is the very first time I’ve went out of my way to report bad business. I always give businesses the benefit of the doubt even when I receive poor service ONCE but, I’ve been treated rudely EVERY TIME I’ve been in. And the drive thru is ridiculous. There’s no way to reach the carrier without opening the car door and leaning out 2 feet. I’ll never do business with them again.

Bank allowed ( at their discretion) 2 small charges to go through an account I considered closed. Now they want $72 in fees and $7 a day for charges that they approved. Should have declined the charge and let me decide how to reimburse merchant.

Had a auto loan through them, worst bank I have ever worked with, Near impossible to get auto withdraw set up, you go into a branch office and they cant help with anything just your typical "call this 1-800 number we cant do that here" took me almost two weeks of fighting to get a loan payoff statement. The vice president after expressing my frustration about my banking experience with bmo could have cared less didn't even offer an apology. Ill never be back or refer them to anyone
