This is a review of my experience with Walser Subaru vehicle sales. Very disappointing experience when I reached out about a vehicle in transit. Discounts are far less than other dealerships. I’ve gotten better deals on Subarus I’ve custom ordered. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told it doesn’t work like that there. There’s clearly no desire to earn my business. I was told the best way to get a discount is when the vehicles start collecting dust on the lot. Apparently a sold incoming unit isn’t a priority. I would recommend going elsewhere.

I recently purchased a new vehicle from Walser Subaru and the process was absolutely incredible. From beginning to end, the team was very professional and accommodating to my family and I. Snacks, drinks, fun conversation, and an overall welcoming environment made it feel like we were buying from the comfort of our home. Charlie Leang was our salesman, and we couldn't have asked for a better individual to help us through the process. Charlie's open and honest communication, detailed explanation of the buying process, and informing us of all the possible options was very informative to my family and I. If you're looking for a new vehicle, this is the place to go!

I’ve had good experiences with this Subaru in the past, but this latest experience soured how I feel. The lack of communication regarding my car in service was incredibly disappointing. If your service advisor isn’t in, they won’t update you on your car even when you call to check and see about picking up that day, which pushed back the pick up day to the next. They made getting a ride, that they say they do for customers, back to the dealership to pick up the vehicle difficult for the same reason about my service advisor not being there. Lastly, they never informed me about the condition my car would be in upon pick-up - I asked for AC diagnostics, then declined repairs due to cost and to hold off until later. Upon pickup, they refused to replace the freon they drained leaving my AC now totally not working at all. Edited to add: I totally understand that it’s a legality thing, but had the process been explained fully to me prior to accepting diagnostics, that information would have been crucial to know and would have changed what I would have wanted to do on my car. The lack of communication here is what’s incredibly frustrating and not what I expected.

My wife and I had a fantastic new-vehicle leasing experience with Walser Subaru for our 2024 Solterra. We weren't certain if an EV was the right choice for us, and if so, we weren't sure if we'd buy or lease. James Montgomery from Sales was a TOTAL rockstar -- he was very patient, genuine and honest with all of our questions. As a Solterra driver himself, his personal experience and forthright opinions were invaluable to our decision to get one. Seamus Dwyer helped us navigate the choice between leasing and financing, and he did an awesome job covering all the various plusses and minuses without trying to nudge us one way or the other. Both James and Seamus were refreshingly transparent with all of our questions, and they weren't pushy about anything -- it was obvious they genuinely wanted us to be as infomed as possible to make the right decision for us (even if that meant walking away). I can honestly say it was a true pleasure working with both James and Seamus, and we are thrilled thus far with our new Solterra!

I’ve purchased my share of new vehicles. My most recent shopping experience at Walser Subaru, Burnsville, MN was the best ever. Advocating for my Mother-in Law Carol, we were looking for her dream car with a no pressure experience. Customer Specialist Tim Saxon and Sales Manager Lucas Westrich delivered perfectly. They exceeded my standard of professionalism. These two gentlemen were thorough and patient in answering all of the questions we had. Tim went above and beyond throughout our process to ensure all details were covered. Lucas stepped up on the trade-in offer without being asked, and was meticulous in helping us weigh the financing options available. Carol and I were merely shopping this day with no intention to buy. Well, the 2025 Outback met her specific requirements, the offer fit her budget, and the treatment from Tim and Lucas was First Class, so she drove home in her new vehicle. Congratulations Mom! Thank you Walser, Tim and Lucas!

Walser Subaru is the best dealership that I have experienced! Charlie was our salesperson and he was as thorough as anyone can be. Even when you interrupt him with questions he doesn’t miss a beat. Everything was explained in full detail. The car had to be ordered and I was kept up to date on the estimated delivery every few days. He was kind and patient with an extra added spot of humor. Their sales department is great. Beau is the best service tech ever!
Definitely the easiest experience that I have ever had buying a car and I have bought quite a few. If you are shopping in Burnsville contact Charlie he is the GOAT.

I am a 22 year old recent college grad who bought a used car from Walser Subaru Burnsville in Summer 2023. I came back in summer 2024 to get work done on my hitch wiring and they charged me $200 without my approval on that fee ahead of time to “diagnose the problem” when I came in telling them exactly what was wrong and what I needed done. They then told me it would be $400 to fix the problem ($600 total). I was pissed and needed the wiring for an upcoming move. I went to a local mechanic who fixed it for FORTY-THREE DOLLARS total. This is your reminder to shop around before you get scammed by Walser.
