Was at this holiday about a week ago. Just now getting some time to post this.
My boyfriend and I had pulled up went inside to make some purchases. We came back out to get gas, the first pump we pulled up to my bf had tried to pump the gas after paying with his card. The pump confirmed but he was not able to pump anything, at that point I went back to the door to ask the lady who was working at the time if she could check the pump for us, she was actually outside finishing up with a customer who was getting propane. I asked if she'd be able to check the pump since the pumping mechanism was not dispensing any gas. She just kinda looked blankly said she would take care of it inside.. so I waited, at that point I didn't have my bfs card so when she had asked if I wanted to prepay for said pump- (now I was confused because I thought we had prepaid inside, but quickly apologized and corrected myself on the mistake)- I said 'not at the moment looks like he's pulling up to the next pump, but you should really come out and check that pump cuz we tried like 3 times.' She dismissed checking the pump and had an attitude with me as I went back out.
I came back out to see if my bf had been able to pump anything at this next pump. He had tried 2 more times, I went back in with his card to Prepay for that pump and reiterated she should probably check BOTH of the pumps when we leave or put signs out for an out of order pump as they usually do. Complete attitude the entire interaction, it seemed that she thought I was just coming in to yell at her, we had now been at this gas station for like 15min, ridiculous. She also decided that still instead if checking any pumps, or systems that she would tell me "well other people are able to pump gas and have been, maybe you need to swap pumps."
Like at that point we already moved to another pump and that one is not working either. Just looked at me with a rude blank stare like that doesn't apply to her. I informed her that we already went from 1 pump to another and both are doing the same thing clearly, whether we prepaid of not.
Went back outside after prepay, and my bf could still not get this 2nd pump to dispense any gas. 6 times in total on 2 different pumps. 20minutes at this gas station who usually has good service. Im not sure if the woman has been working there for awhile, or maybe transferred, or new? I haven't typically seen her, but her way to handle broken pumps and customers needing help at the pumps was completely rude, unprofessional, unacceptable. We finally were leaving to get gas across the street and that's when she finally went to check the pumps as we drove off. I have never experienced anything like that trying to get gas.
Unsure if she was the only on there, seemed like it. I understand we are short staffed in a lot of areas, but maybe 2 people like I've seen here so one isn't overwhelmed. But please at the very least make sure your employees can respectfully help customers that are asking and literally need it, I can't fix a pump myself, and if other pumps are full, you're really not gonna come look at 2 that are potentially broken? I wouldn't want to be the next person at that pump, pull up to the next one, and have that worker do the same thing. That's just wild.

The owners clearly take pride in their business. I walked in bright and early on a Sunday morning to be greeted by a welcoming and warm smile. The store was clean and organized. I picked up muffins for my family. When I was checking out the box of muffins was overflowing for my large family. The person behind the counter offered to get another box and tape the box shut. It was a simple act, but the kind that makes the difference between quality service and just another gas station. There are a lot of convenience stores/gas stations in the area, but this is where you should stop--as it's a testament that quality service and hardworking small business owners are still willing to risk it all to invest in a business and work a Sunday morning at 6am behind the counter.

The cashiers there are really nice. Gas prices are a bit more expensive than surrounding area.

Went inside to get change for the vacuum. Went out, the vacuum wasn't working . When i went inside to tell the family owned gas station, they said they can't do anything for me, because they don't make any money off this item on their property and that I will have to call the service #. Long story short, I ended up fixing the vacuum for them.. By the time I did this, the time was up on the machine and I was refused a refund and given a lame apology..

Something about this store I love and it's not over priced well for what I usually get.
