I hate to give a bad review to a business trying to survive, but Byerlys is attempting to control with weather or reduce our daily high temps by introducing paper salad bar containers. Nobody likes these, but the corporate overlords are convinced we will see cooler temps because of these. I suppose I could be persuaded, but I don’t really see that happening. In addition to introducing what many are calling the “paper straws of salad bar containers”, they are now trying to pass along infant utensils made of soybeans or old garbage for adults. Ever seen an oyster fork? Yeah, they’re like than only made of plants/garbage. I call on everyone to boycott the salad bar until they go back to normal adult containers. It can be hard to change ideological decisions with lost profits and I’m sure the salad bar is just a blip on their radar, but if 200 people who would normally spend $50 per week on salads, take their business elsewhere, that’s 10k revenue, perhaps $1,500 net, times 52 weeks is about 75k lost profit. Not much for Byerlys or ideological decision making, but I can hope.Oh, and cut your ham smaller. Not that I care anymore, but just thinking of the next customer. We don’t want ham steaks with our afternoon salad.I spoke with the manager about this today and she was very gracious and understanding. She gets it. Normal people do.

Visited at the break of dawn in my work uniform coming off a red eye. Working and leaving my mother again the next night on her birthday, and was picking up some of her favorite things. Shane, one of the managers, was extra helpful in making sure I had everything I needed for my moms special day. I appreciate his personal touch and help making her day while I’m gone. Thanks Shane.

Recently was at the store to pickup meat for Christmas I ordered the Dry Aged Prime Rib over the phone and picked it up Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I live in Cedar Rapids Iowa now but lived in Burnsville for 8 years. Just cooked the Prime Rib last night for a Christmas dinner with family. Family was used to this since I had it the 8 years I lived in Burnsville The Prime Rib was fantastic the flavor was so succulent and marbling was amazing. Yes the cost has skyrocketed over the years but I only do this once a year and it was AMAZING Kudos to Nick (Meat Mgr) and his staff at the Burnsville Byerlys. Thank you.

I love this store. Can't wait for the new store to open up on English ave. In Apple Valley off Pilot Knob Road. Many times I find things to be cheaper than Cub or Target. B.o.g.o deals. Sign up to use your phone number for Rewards. It may surprise you at checkout when you put your phone number in. I enjoy the atmosphere and people are always friendly.? Love the carrot cake.

I stopped to get some dinner along with some deli, salads and other goodies. I picked up some fried chicken $12.99 not terrible. It tasted like it was cooked in Chinese food cooking oil from 10 years ago. Didn’t even cut it up and feed it to my dogs.Come on Byerlus you can do better.

I'm a shipt shopper and I love picking up orders from this store. They're always effecient and kind. The other day I helped them load my car (I was doing two huge orders) and one of the people gave me a bottle of water and a doughnut and I almost cried because I was having a bad week and it was just so kind. The doughnut was delicious and from their bakery btw so that alone is worth going here lol

Never have I ever experienced going grocery shopping and being told that I cannot take a cart out with all of my groceries in them. (2 bags loaded with several sports drinks and also a gallon of milk) It was explained to me by a young lady with attitude "OK if you do though, you have to bring it back"! I said, OK not a problem. I finished paying for my items. I put them back into my cart, but I forgot my milk and ran back to get it pushing my cart off to the side of the checkout terminals next to rows of other carts. I returned within two minutes only to find that she had removed my bags and put them on the counter next to her explaining that she did it so that no one would steal my groceries. WHAT? Is this a common occurrence at this grocery store? I knew she was making a point, and was forcing me to carry my bags. I spoke with the manager who I happened to run into as I was leaving. (No I didn't intend to track one down) and I asked if this was common practice? She said yes, because they don't have cart corrals. I told her that I was made aware that I would just need to bring it back in and that I agreed to do so, yet the young lady standing guard at the self checkout desk deliberately removed my bags from my cart, even after we discussed protocol. I expressed frustration and mentioned my recent hand surgeries and why this was difficult. The managers response was less than impressive of her roll and simply suggested that next time I order my groceries ahead of time for pickup or delivery. REALLY? The level of disrespect by handling my items without my knowledge, and removing the items AFTER a discussion it outright despicable, rude and grossly unprofessional of both clerk and manager. Shame on both of you and shame on this corporation for allowing your patrons to be treated this way. Shame on this company for being so greedy focusing on profits instead of providing practical necessities for your patrons.
