Went in for free phone that cost me $107.00 SD card that was charged wasn't there. Daughter's phone over 500 and it had same issue. Rip off.

My phone was SIM swapped by a hacker, leaving me without a cell phone. I called Boost Mobile, great customer support even on Sundays, and they tried to marry my phone back to my account, but told me I would unfortunately need a new SIM card.I drove 70 miles to Boost, and was told I could get a new SIM card for free because I was eligible for an upgrade. Cool!Then the problem, but first a story: I have been with Boost for 15 years. I always buy and install my own SIM cards. Its not rocket science. You can either do it online or call Boost Mobile and they will do it for free. I have even reused SIM cards by cutting them so they fit into micro SIM slots.With that said, the problem: the young man asked if I would like him to activate my SIM for me real quick and I gladly said sure. He then charged me $47 dollars. I was shocked because he mentioned nothing about charging me before offering to do it. I paid the fee, because I was in a hurry and returned to the store when I had time to ask for a refund. The manager doesn't work at the store he works over the phone. The kid called the manager and was told he could lose his job if he gave me a refund.Let me tell you, you dont need a Boost store to scam you to activate your SIM. Boost is prepaid and our right and freedom as customers is that we can activate a SIM card ourselves. I am disgusted with this stores policy and was first scammed when I was SIM swapped, then I was scammed when I came to this store for a 4 dollar SIM card.Edit: I switched to T Mobile after 15 years with Boost Mobile because of this store. I was paying 60 for 50gb high speed + hotspot, and now I pay 25 for unlimited data and free hot spot. Good riddance you scam artists.

He said he can activate my phone ,and in the end he was not able to activate it with the Sim card he also charged me and did not activate the phone and still charged me to activate it without it functioning.

Phone insurance is a replacement plan.they told me it only covered 50 dollars off replacement phone . Than never even took the 50 off and it should of covered the whole phone .than I went in to get phone network unlocked and they said it was 150 bucks. When I got home customer service did it for free over their chat...never will I go to this store again..
