This place is a joke. They took blood work on my cat and said it was all “normal” but it was not. It wasn’t until I took her to a previous vet that I found out that her bloodwork was very abnormal. The tech also asked me if my cat is on any flea and tick stuff. I replied no since she does not go outside and she replied and said, “well you do!” She was very rude about it. Banfield only cares about trying to sell you stuff and the price for everything is not worth it. I recommend Main Street vet in shakopee. This doctor has been in the field for over 40 years. Him and his assistant truly care about your pets. Don’t waste your time at Banfield.

I have been trying to cancel my dogs wellness plan for 1 and a half years and I’m still getting charged. I’ve been in the building 3 separate times where I have been told that it was canceled and I’m still receiving charges on my card.

Everyone here is great. Friendly, usually have appt's open within a week. Dogs always get treated great. I've been going to Banfield for 6 years with 5 different dogs and never had a problem. Monthly plans are great as well.

They ended up giving my cat the wrong vaccine which has history of causing death in the breed of cat I have. Told them at the first appt not to give the vaccine and put it in the records, but my request was disregarded. I would think that an established vet clinic would have some type of verification for vaccines/breeds but I guess that is asking too much. They really didn't even apologize or do anything to make up for their mistake, made me continue to pay for my "treatment plan" even though they put my cats life at risk. Not to mention when I tried getting my medical records, called multiple times through out the day, left multiple voice mails and never heard back. My recommendation is to find another vet to take care of your fur baby!!!!!!!!

Terrible service. I made an appointment for an guineapigs after confirming they work with guinneapigs. 7am comes and my boyfriend takes her he was waiting for over an hour before being told first that there dr that works on guineapigs is not in yet, then followed it up with saying they don’t work on guineapigs at all. HORRIBLE SERVICE. Seems like nobody has any idea what they are doing.

We initially loved the wellness plan for our new pups for their first year. Then, we started noticing terrible care each time they were there. This place and Banfield in general insists on drop off appointments where you drop off your pet in the morning and they get to them at some point during the day. During this time they are left in kennels next to all the other animals. I was able to schedule "in room" appointments but they are also a joke. They have you still drop off your pet to them and wait in the lobby. The last appointment for one of my dogs they must have brought her to the back when she was done. I could hear her barking and could hear the personell telling her to shut up already. And "you're so $#&cking annoying be quiet". They could have just brought her back out to me, I was right there. This place doesn't care about your pets, they are overwhelmed and overbooked. Trust me and go elsewhere.Thank you for replying on here. Unfortunately, I did contact the clinic directly and did not receive a response. I reached out to the email in your comment. They stated they would forward to the site directly (even though I had stated the site previously was unresponsive) and that I would receive a response in 3-5 business days. It has been past the time and still no response. Those who read reviews, please look to this as another example of the frustrations of being at a Banfield pet hospital, no helpful resolutions or customer service.

The staff here is amazing! My dog Polly has severe anxiety and we were holding off on getting her vaccines because the experience was always so stressful for all involved. We decided to give banfield a try and they were so genuine and sweet! They even called the day after the appointment to check on Polly! This is now our regular vet clinic! Thank you for all you do!

If you care about your pet and your money don't choose a Banfield hospital. The wellness plan may be the greatest money scam in history. When we finally decided to end the plan we wanted one more comprehensive exam but turns out whoever scheduled our appointment scheduled it 1 day after the expiration and so they told us everything must be paid out of pocket. No grace or understand of the situation. I've only had frustrations with these hospitals so will be looking elsewhere. Thanks for nothing Banfield.

I love Banfield. My dog is old and getting close to the end. They have been nothing but empathetic and caring, but also honest about what she can and cannot handle in her old age, which is exactly what I need. I’m so glad to have a veterinarian who genuinely cares.

Great service for animal but I don't like that an appointment is made but they don't see your pet on the spot anymore. They sit inside for 5+ hours.

We scheduled surgery to pull a tooth during a dental cleaning. They saw the tooth and DIDN'T pull it. The didn’t call about it they didn’t even acknowledge the tooth. So we had to put our dog under anesthesia a second time within a month in order to pull the tooth. The practice manager, Tyler, said because it was their fault we would have to pay $0 out of pocket for the surgery. Great thank you for accepting fault and taking responsibility! Except the day of the surgery they are making us pay $650 for the surgery claiming little to no fault now on botching the last oral surgery and saying they are only going to cover the part of the surgery that would have been covered by the dental cleaning. Great. Thanks. They also reschedule drop offs and appointments without notifying you or asking if it is ok. Really helpful. We will not allow them to see any of our pets anymore.

Have brought my dog here multiple times where I felt she wasn’t given the best care she could’ve been given. Had a dental and asked to get her nails trimmed, they were almost all too short to the point where I could see the powder used to stop bleeding. Her inside nail on her front paw was clipped so short you could barely even see it. She also had complications after her dental procedure & when I called during their office hours I had to leave a message and didn’t receive a call back until the morning after. There is one receptionist that is 0 help and I would rather use google than ask her anything and she was the one who answered the phone when I called back the next day. Bring your dog somewhere better where they are more knowledgeable and provide better care.
