Took a 25 year old wingback chair to be reupholstered. They said it would be 12 weeks but ended up being 8. The chair is beautiful. Very good workmanship. I would recommend them to anyone looking for wood repair, upholstery, refinishing. Great people to work with. Thank you Ackermans

The team at Ackerman's did an incredible job restoring our grandmother's rocking chair. The chair was rebuilt with new cushions, refinished and reupholstered. It looks like a new piece of furniture while keeping the original charm.

5 stars is not enough! I cannot say enough good things about Ackerman's Furniture. From the moment we walked in with our well-loved, definitely well worn rocking chair to the day we left with the beautifully restored family heirloom, we were treated with kindness and given ample options and time to make the decisions we needed as a family to make sure our chair was restored with the respect it deserved. Only a true craftsman can take a piece as old as this was and as worn as this and take 3 people's input and visions and turn that into a work of art able to take your breath away. This chair is at least 50 years old and from New England. That is all we know. It was passed down in the family. If anyone knows of where it might have came from please contact us! In the meantime, use Ackerman's for anything you need restored. They put their heart into their work!

Mitch understand the problem with our electric theater chair. Making an in home appointment was easy, he was very cooperative and considerate of our time. Repair of chair was completed at first visit. Excellent work and service. I highly recommend Ackerman’s Furniture Service, their cost to repair is very reasonable .

My elderly study chair is back in its old place. I wanted to retain as much of the original as possible and bring back its comfort and style. Ackerman's did just that and I am as pleased as can be. The color match was perfect, and it is just as nice a piece, maybe even better, than when I purchased it about fifty years ago. Well done in every way. Cheers.

My sister pulled four of these AOPi chairs from a dumpster behind the U of MN Tau chapter sorority house in the 1970’s. Forty-five years later Ackerman’s Furniture Service did a fantastic job restoring them for us! Their craftsmen are so meticulous … real pros. Thank you for bring new live to these 1030’s charmers. ♥️

That is correct we discussed feeling on the pinholes. We also discussed the rough spot on the top of the chair. And when I grab the runners to carry it out they were not finished sanded. There are other parts also that we're not finished sanded. I'm still very disappointed with what I took with me. You and your your worker didn't even think that you should look at it closer. It was more like I was being blown off to get out the door. As I said I am disappointed. Your friend has finished two other pieces that were much more difficult with exceptional care. Apparently this $750 I spent was not enough for you guys to do quality job.

Disappointed!I'm disappointed in myself for accepting poor craftsmanship. I dropped off an 1895 dining room chair to have it repaired and refinished. The cost for services was higher than the value of the chairs, yet I walked away with this less-than-quality workmanship. That was my mistake; I feel so disappointed in myself paying $750 for something that may now be worth $25-$50.

We had damage to our 30-year-old teak dining table and chose Ackerman's Furniture Service to do the refinishing of the table top. Bill did a fabulous job, and our table now looks at least as good as new, with a beautiful natural - and protected - finish. Bill, John and the whole team were great to work with, the price was good, and the delivery group they recommend - Nick Brooks at Twin Cities Moving Solutions (TCMS) - also did a great job. We highly recommend Ackerman's!

Expensive but worth every penny! My two pieces of heirloom furniture, a small “nurser” rocking chair and a music cabinet are home safe and sound. Ackerman’s has always been good to work with. A business you can trust to make your treasures safely new again.

Ackerman's prepped and painted a nice table I had that needed a fresh look. I could have done an acceptable job myself but not in an apartment building! These guys are pros and I can recommend their work. 100% satisfaction

They did great work on a 10 ft long tufted cushion for my built-in. It looks amazing. There was an issue with the length at first, but they responded really quickly to fix it.I would absolutely recommend them to anyone

John replaced a swivel bottom for a chair of ours that was shipped incorrectly from a company. He was a gem of a guy! Very friendly and personable. I mentioned I had purchased a new chair that I wanted recovered. He gave me a quote on it and said it would take 6-8 weeks in the shop. We picked it up 5 weeks later! It turned out perfect! We are very impressed with the professional work and would definitely recommend this place to others.

I just had a drawer repaired that had a noticeable chuck taken out when something heavy dropped on it. In less than 5 days, Ackerman had my drawer repaired so perfectly I couldn’t even see where the repair had been done at I price I thought very reasonable considering the cost of the nearly new nightstand. Highly recommend.
