2500 Bloomington Ave, Minneapolis“I have a client who receives open arms meals and this is hands down the best organization with the healthiest, most appetizing food I’ve ever seen. 7991 Main St, Maple Grove“Absolutely love this place! There is always some event going on especially during the summer like Maple Grove Days. Music, fireworks, food trunsk, contests, they have it all here. Family friendly atmosphere. Good bathrooms.Right next to the shopping/business area. Also right next to the library and community center. Such a great location - everything is within walking distance. There are multiple parking garages nearby but public transport is a bit of a walk away.Incredibly well maintained (only gripe being the goose droppings - they're EVERYWHERE lol).”
“I took the Charcoal Portrait Sketching class with Susan Beck. It was amazing. I almost cried in frustration and I almost left the class early but I'm so glad I stayed to the end. I learned so much in so many ways. Thanks to a great teacher and a great setting for comradery and learning. Rum River Art Center is a great place to create.”
“Fantastic organization! I’ve been hearing impaired most of my life, started looking into a hearing assistance dog when my pup passed in 2022. My assistance dog is a blessing in every way, and the folks at Can Do Canines have been so helpful throughout the process. Thank you all for everything you do!”
“We went for the fish fry and the line was out the door and the parking lot packed. We learned quickly while in line that there was a takeout option so we seized it. I should've taken pics but the food was amazing. They served us in seconds and we brought it home. Everything was still hot and fresh. The fish was incredible, a wonderful crisp breading and well seasoned. The slaw was actually refreshing and light. The perogies had a nice chewy wrapper and delicious filling with caramelized onions and sour cream served with it. The little dessert was amazing. Not too sweet filling in an impressive choux pastry. Very impressed!”

“I went to Phyllis Wheatley for COVID testing. I didn't realize the State had community test centers still open until I went on the MN Department of Health's website. I called before I went and the operator was super helpful in explaining how it worked, and also mentioned the vaccine clinics. When I got there, there wasn't anyone there except the support clerk. She was really helpful and kind. We had great conversation. She explained how to set up the testing account and I was in and out in a few minutes. I even got my PCR test results back from the lab in less than 24 hours. Oh, and I even got two boxes of rapid tests! Generous. I will say though that I think the clerk should be provided with a respirator based on her job (KN95/N95). She was wearing a cloth mask which doesn't do much for an airborne virus like Covid, and especially since folks coming in for testing are mostly symptomatic and often Covid positive. She shouldn't have to buy her own respirator or be put in that risk. I didn't have any on hand or I would've given her some. I really appreciated that Phyllis Wheatley was there for me, caring for the community.”

“I could go on and on about how much I love and appreciate Compassionate Action for Animals (and I often do!), but can sum up my feelings this way as well: CAA has forever changed the lives of so many animals and people for the better...including mine. If you want to be a part of a group that’s inclusive, empowering, compassionate, focuses on the positive, and effectively makes change for the most abused animals—farmed animals—but also impacts positive change for all animals...this is the group to join and support. Get involved and meet new people that share your compassionate views and choices, do good for animals, share tasty vegan food and learn to cook compassionate meals, and never worrying again about how (and with whom) you’ll spend your holidays and weekends. CAA hasn’t you covered: Memorial wknd farm sanctuary visit & picnic; 4th of July potluck; Thanksgiving potluck; and more. You just might find love (as I did!), and you’ll certainly find you’re in good company.p.s, Oops, once again I went on and on!?”
“My experience with MacPhail was nothing but amazing. My voice teacher, Thomas Speckhard was the best. I had to pause my voice lessons because of school, but I hope to return again once my schedule is more manageable. I learned so much about voice and singing from teacher Tom, and I appreciate his approach for an aspiring-frustrated singer like myself. Lol. He is the best! Thank you, MacPhail.”
“Father's day open house is always a nice time with the granddaughter. Static displays of old war birds and other aircraft, fire trucks, ambulance, bouncy toys, snow equipment, plane or helicopter rides, waffle breakfast had a line hundreds of people long.”
“Great reuse/salvage warehouse for reclaimed wood and other building or renovation materials. I’ve purchased reclaimed wood flooring and rough sawn lumber reclaimed from their deconstruction efforts to keep building materials out of the landfill while creating jobs. Here’s how I used rough sawn wood to cover a new beam.”
“Love the shows. Was a subscriber for years pre-Covid. Saw Hamilton in April after not seeing a show in a couple years. Forgot how amazing it was!Renewed for the next season & can't wait!Their app has had some problems which seem to have been partially resolved, but it could still be more user friendly.”
“I’m so excited to start this program! Really looking forward to what programs this place has to offer. I really would love to start a doula program. Or nursing program!”

2620 Minnehaha Ave, Minneapolis“I absolutely love this warehouse. The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. They have a huge collection of doors, flooring, wood, kitchen/ bathroom sinks, cabinets and countertops. Make sure that when you go if you have a particular project in mind take very good notes on sizes and what you're looking for. And make sure that you ask as many questions as possible because they are very knowledgeable.”
9AM - 9PM
13755 1st Ave N, Plymouth“I don't always qualify, as many tests are mid day, on weekdays, when many are working. But the ones I have qualified for have been great! Staff are nice, helpful.”
“Lived in Mary Jo's for a month, in the past and I thank her and her family for giving me and my family get back on my feet, still hard but I keep a roof over our head, all utilities up to date and food on the table and the important things in life, is to help and give to the less fortunate if you can, even if volunteering is the only way you can give back. May our very own Angel " Mary Jo " always around.”
“Awesome, friendly people here. My husband rents tools here often for home projects. They have a free section outside their door, at least on 9/13/23, they did. And they have several things for sale in the entrance too! I told my husband to buy anything he wanted - he did! The only thing I would recommend, to be changed, is to make the signage - BIGGER -... The first picture (hopefully the way Google portrays them, it'll be my first picture,) shows how small the Tool Library sign is. That'd be my only suggestion! Great parking available, many entrances available too! Check their website for varying hours!”
