Smoothest, best car buying experience I’ve ever had with Tom Hunter! Easy to talk to, comfortable, low pressure experience. He was so communicative with me throughout the whole buying process and really put in the work to get me exactly what I wanted. If I could give Luther Brookdale & Tom more then 5 stars I would!!!

The most horrible and most expensive experience I've had buying a car I didn't get to keep.
I saw online a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit with 51,000 miles for a little under $25,000 so I bought it.
I drove it around for 3 days in the city after the purchase and also got a ignition interlock installed ($437.00) as required by the state of mn for me and i got the windows tinted ($250.00) then I took my pickup and camper up north for 5 days. On the way home I left my camper at storage in Monticello mn and returned home apon arrival we realized some medication get left in it. I jumped in the Jeep and drove up there to get. On the way back the transmission light came on and I noticed it was 268 degrees. I immediately pulled over. I called the dealer the next day (Friday) and they set me up with a appointment on Monday.
I had the jeep delivered the Saturday before with 3/8 of a tank of gas. When I dropped it off I was told I'd get some news monday and got nothing so I messaged them that night to see what's happening. I get a message Tuesday morning saying that had not started it but would today and I would hear from them. I got no news. I drove to the dealership Wednesday morning and it was parked in the same spot as I parked it.
I asked to talk to a manager they sent me to Steve Miller. I talked to him and he said I would hear from them by 11 am. I get a call at 11 am and they said they sent it to a vendor. I asked who and they said Reno Auto. I googled them and they had no web page and no store hours. Hmm.
I heard nothing Wednesday-Friday so on Saturday I drove to Reno Auto and it was some shop in the back of a industrial building. I went in and it was not a typical auto shop with ASE certified signage or plaques or even degrees posted.
On Tuesday I get a message saying it's fixed it by cleaning the fins of the radiator and condenser and Straightening them and replaced the shroud and that they took on "multiple high speed long range drives" and "it didn't raise above 214 degrees.
I jumped in it and tire was low and it was low gas. I went from the parking spot to the service bay. I requested some air put in my tire. They told me to pull ahead 2 car lengths ahead. I did and it ran out of gas. I complained about how they were going to send me out with no gas and the manager told the runner to put in 1/2 a tank. I went and sat down and the runner came up and asked me to start it. I did and I noticed a small white funnel in the filler and I asked if he wanted that and he said "it's yours from under you seat" and he hands it to me covering my hand in gas. So now I've thit this funnel in my jeep stinking like gas and my hands stinking like gas. We pull in back and he puts 4.99 gallons in my tank. Less then a 1/4 tank! Lol
I drive to the gas station 1 block away and put in 20 gallons.
I leave and by the time I hit 94 and 394 the trans temp is 230 degrees when I hit traffic and had to slow down. The temp dropped.
I message them and they offered to buy it back for $27, 000 saying i got some use out of it. I paid $27, 729 with taxes.
The next day I talked to Dana and said despite my horrible experience with the service so far i said i do love the jeep and asked if they can just please fix it he said that they could put in a $2000 transmission cooler and that might not be the problem so they don't want to fix it they want to buy it back. He said he could be into it for thousands trying to do it and they wanted to buy it back. They offered me the full refund so i had to take it. I asked about the $250 in tint, $437 for the interlock plus the $137 for the removal and the $136 for the months service for the interlock they said no (I have all receipts). I also missed 2 days of work at $300 per day. This cost me over $1000 dollars. This is equivalent to a weeks work for me and one nights dinner for them!
