Samherz Shepherds was a pleasure to speak with. Very professional, she spoke to great detail about this breed and provided in depth information about her dogs. Every question was answered and I really appreciate her authenticity. Great quality dogs proven from Germany. I was impressed.

I can not praise Jesse enough for how kind she has been throughout the process of puppies being born and after. She kept us updated with photos and videos, which is so fun and special to be involved in. She also ensured all questions and concerns were answered. I also cannot praise enough how much love she puts into the pups. Our Juneau is such a lover. It just shows how much socialization she got from the get go. Nothing but love for Samherz. Amazing amazing place and experience.

We’ve had our Samherz Shepherd for just over a year now and couldn’t be happier! Our Millie is confident, athletic, playful, happy, and intelligent. She’s always up for an adventure and has a great social temperament. She adores our 3 kids and has a sweet demeanor while still being protective of her family. Millie adapted well to our city life and has been a great fit for our family!This is our first experience with the breed and we did lots of research to find the right puppy for our family. There were a handful of factors that made us chose Samherz Shepherds, who met all 5 of our criteria. First, we were looking at European bloodlines versus working lines. We wanted an authentic German Shepherd with a social temperament. Health testing was also on our priority list.Second, it was important to us that our puppy have the best start in life, during the 8 weeks before he/she even came to our home. The socialization starts right from day one at Samherz with exposure to sight, sounds, kids, etc. The puppies start their life being with their mom around the clock and eventually start on the highest quality puppy food when they are developmentally ready. The puppies don’t go to their new homes until 8 weeks so they can spend that important time with their littermates.Third, we liked the idea of being involved from the beginning of our puppy’s life. The bonding starts before you even pick up your puppy. The professional looking photos that are taken each week of your puppy are priceless! We still look back as a family to ooh and ahh at how tiny and fluffy our Millie was! You also see various videos of the puppies bonding with mom, or playing among their litter mates.Fourth, you have the option to pick up your puppy at 10 weeks versus 8 weeks for extra socialization and crate training, which we took advantage of. Our puppy has been a dream in her crate from the first night she came home!Last, we wanted a lifetime relationship with our dog’s breeder. Jessi truly wants what’s best for her puppies from birth until adulthood. She’s is always there to answer questions or address concerns. This is our first experience with the breed so we had lots (LOTS!) of questions that Jessi was more than happy to take the time to answer. There’s also the extended Samherz community that has been invaluable with their feedback and experience raising their Samherz pups.You get what you pay for when it comes to a dog breeder, and Jessi is the best of the best! There’s a night and day difference between the type of German Shepherd you are going to end up in regards to temperament and health with a quality breeder like Jessi, who is working to better the breed, and a backyard breeder who wants to make a few bucks.We have fallen in love with this breed and look forward to being repeat offenders by adding another Samherz pup to our family down the road!

We purchased our German Shepherd from Jessi in 2021. It has been an amazing experience since we first contacted Jessi. She has gone above and beyond for us. We are throughly in love with our pup, he truly has the best temperament!

I got my dog from Samherz in Sept. 2019 after about a year of research on the net. A few reasons for the 5 stars.1) their website had the most info on it than any other breeder I looked at. That doesn't seem like a big thing, but it's more than a handful of photos and 1 small paragraph like a lot of others I looked at. Plus it's an effort thing. In my mind, if you put that much into your website, the operation must be decent.2) My questions were answered thoroughly even before I reserved a pup.3) They don't breed their dogs to death. My parents have a retired momma from them and she is amazing!4) After talking with Jessi, it was very apparent that she cares for these dogs, like genuinely cares for them. Comparing her to other breeders that I actually heard back from, was a night and day difference.I am 100% happy with my choice in Samherz. I hope to get another pup from them when the time is right.

Jessi is absolutely AMAZING! She goes above and beyond than just being a breeder. I've never seen so much love and compassion when it comes to her dogs and puppies. Once you have a Samherz German Shepherd, you become a part of the Samherz family.When we brought Jax into our lives, he was everything we needed and so much more. Thank you Jessi for giving us Jax! He was meant to be a part of our family and it's all because of your love and passion for German Shepherd's.

A big thank you is in order to Samherz Shepherds and her beautiful girl Hayley! 9 days ago I was in trouble. My mom had a emergency c sec and did not bond with her pups. I was bottle feeding every 2 hours and was just sick cause I knew I couldn't keep it up. Amy June's from jasper husky's and Jessie Louis stepped up to the plate. Jessie so kindly offered her lactating female Hayley to foster the pups. It was a miracle. Hayley took on those pups immediately as if they were her very own. I highly recommend Samherz Shepherds as I seen for myself the amazing dogs raised by Jessie. Temperment is as perfect as it gets!!! Please don't ever hesitate to buy a pup from this kind considerate and unselfish women. Her set up is truly amazing. Her love for the breed shines through in her dogs and pups. Thank u Hayley for taking on our babies and thank you Jessie for having stepped up to the plate when I needed u! Thank u Amy for passing my situation on to Jessie and also offering your beautiful female as well! You and Jessie are amazing!

So glad to have our puppy! Everything has been so professional and enjoyable. Updated weekly with photos always available for questions or concerns. Imprinting was definitely worth it. He kenneled himself the first night and has been a very alert learner to leash walks, paws shakes and sitting. Staying needs work but that is the joy of wanting to be petted and played with. Glad to be part of the Samherz family!
