I sold a fully unlocked phone to a buyer on ebay. I used the phone with many carriers without **any issues **
**Metro has a terrible sim swap policy **and I have been wasting my time with this companies worthless and ancient policies trying to help the phone buyer and losing time and $ in the process since the buyer feels that I need to pay THEIR metro device swap fee!
This is insanity and I will never recommend metro because I got indirectly screwed over by policies that are not even in place on other carriers or MNVOs.
If you own an “unlocked” phone and it supports the network help your customers out!
You should be able to swap a sim into another unlocked device you own without any issue. With metro there will be an issue and they will nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING! Stay away!
In summary ..sure you can swap the sim in the metro app or the site. but the average person is struggles in tech (can’t remember their login or pin.. etc) so they ned to talk to a person.. That will be 20-30$ please. If the buyer of my phone had *****ANY**** other carrier I would not be in discussions with a buyer of an unlocked phone STAY AWAY! I feel I need a reimbursement from Metro for wasting my time indirectly. Since I can’t get anything and least I can share my experience here!
I actually work in tech and I feel bad that the employees here have to deal with terrible and time wasting corporate policy. Pass this scenario to corporate!!
FYI.. Tmobile has highter QCI then metro and you WILL have better service on the same network (higher priority on congested towers). I have had both and Tmobile is FAR better!

We went here because of the non-service we got at T-mobile in Baxter. I had been with T-mobile for 20+ years but after walking into T-mobile and getting the non-service, we came to Metro by T-Mobile. SO GLAD WE DID!!!Ben was working that day, we told him what happened at T-mobile and he got us 2 new phones and saved us money on our monthly bill! It's still T-mobile service but cheaper. We have lots of side items like cloud storage, security, McAfee, Scamshield and more. Ben is very knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful. He's a joy to work with!The building is difficult to maneuver, very skinny parking area up front.

The Brainerd Store on 710 W. Washington St. It's a one stop shop to get acellphone.Ben has helped our family choose the best type of phone from a wide array of plans and phones that are in stock. He is knowledgeable and patient with my tech questions. This has been our choice of stores to go to.Ben, did I mention BEN? is the reason everyone in our family are Metro by T-Mobile customers. Its worth the hour drive, because not all Metro by T-Mobile managers wait on you the minute you walk in the door; even if there is a line of customers.

Awesome customer service! Switched my home internet to Metro today, they made it so painless and then lowered my bill on top of that! Thank you I'm so happy with my service here which is refreshing after having nothing but problems with any other company. Keep up the great work!!

Good customer service and quality phones that have no contracts and affordable plans, but the service completely sucks. Dropped calls all the time and plenty of dead areas that do not show up on the map they show you
