We had a terrible experience at a local Ford repair shop, Advanced arranged a tow to their shop, ordered replacement parts, and had vehicle repaired within days. Chris is awesome, very professional, very sensitive to costs and worked with us on getting the car repaired at 1000's less that the Ford dealer. These folks are great.

Was told by a friend about advanced auto repair. What a great place great service great people.they did work on my truck that a dealer wanted1400dollors to do and they did the same job for 800, Dollars less. So nice no to get ripped off a great place to get your car fixed

The dealership decided to tell me that I needed a complete engine rebuild. I declined and brought it into AAR for some advice. The guys there over exceeded my expectations and helped me do a hands on diagnostic as a teaching lesson and sent me on my way.
It went from a $5,000 fix to a $20 fix. They saved me the hassle and I can’t recommend these guys enough. The reason there’s so many cars in their parking lot is because so many locals trust them. Just a good group of dudes.

Some places give good service. Some give great service. To call the service AAR gave our family either description would be damning with faint praise. They were simply phenomenal. Starting with service manager Mr. Chris Hecker, the team tackled a potentially catastrophic problem on my mother’s beloved 1990 Chevy Lumina with speed, efficiency, diligence and unmatched technical expertise. Even two weeks after the repair, our family still marvels at the spectacular treatment AAR delivered. We won’t hesitate to go there again with any future repair needs and they’re definitely the first place we will recommend to anyone needing automotive repair in the Brainerd Lakes Area. Thank you Advanced Auto Repair! (We’re sorry we don’t know the names of any other team members. They all have our sincere thanks and deserve recognition!). Joan Justice.

Car starter went out at the gas station. Mike's team was quick to tow car to shop and starter was put in the next day. Very friendly and quick service!

I spoke to Mike and let him know I was 7 hours from home with my wife and 3 little kids and was having trouble with my truck. He made time to help me out and he and his techs were friendly and helpful. I came here because my old man used to come here. Now I see why he stopped. Charged me $350 for a battery that died on me at a drive through a week later. But hey “you can go to any Napa and get a new one because it’s AAA” they literally sent me somewhere else to fix the issue. Napa was not willing to help and honestly I don’t blame them. Why would they fix someone else’s problem? Luckily walt mart has the same battery and it’s over a $100 bucks cheaper because they don’t add a $110 diagnostic and installation fee. Receipts in hand. Terrible place. NO ESTIMATE PROVIDED.It’s not about the money, it’s the fact that they sold me a faulty battery and sent me to Napa for a new one. Instead of having integrity and fixing your own problems.

The guys here are Amazing! Bill ( who has recently moved), was a straightforward honest man. I never had to worry bout what I was getting worked on. They called with every detail, walked through it with me and made it a point to tell me if it was a now fix or if it could be later. I have never had a surprise on my bill. Very kind always! The Owner, I hadn't a clue the man I was talkin to at one point, or who gave me a ride, was him. He very kind and right down to earth with the rest. They are my go to mechanics, when I cant fix it myself w/ help. Would absolutely recommend! They are always busy, which is great. So I cant get in a the drop of a hat, but that just makes me prepare and set up my appt. Thank for being a trusting place to take care of my vehicle!!
