This posting stuff is new to me, as I often say, " I am an analog guy, living in a digital world". Today though, I feel it appropriate to give ECE a very large THANK YOU! for the service provided to our residence. Approx 2 years ago, a very large branch off of a 50ft tree fell down across the feed line to service. Power was out for a day or so, with Sheriff parked out on the street as line went across street also. The County is redoing road in front of us this year. And with road redo, ECE decided to bury the powerline underground. With storm last week, a second large branch on the SAME TREE snapped off, and dropped in same spot as first one. Which meant if the line was not buried, we would again have been without power for a considerable timeframe. As it was, we were only offline for only about 45 minutes. Entirely acceptable for the damage I have seen around here. So to whomever decided to bury the service line, I again say THANK YOU!! As that decision kept the lights on, and it is appreciated. Dwight

I've had ECE service for 8 months and had power outages twice already. Each time the power was out over 3 hours before it was restored. Yes, severe storms can.cause power outages. However, over 3 hours to be restored is unacceptable.

I have been a customer of East Central Electric for many years now. ECE has ALWAYS gone above and beyond to address any issues, which is rare, in quickest manner possible. The workers are friendly, hard working, and do their best to serve their customers in a timely manner.

In 2023 I was forced to switch from my town's municipal energy to ECE. In the decade that I had municipal, my power went out maybe 3 times. Since switching to ECE, in a year and a half my power has gone out at least nine times. I just don't understand how a company who's sole purpose is keeping the power on can struggle so much.

This company discriminate against females, my girlfriend set up an account in her name and for some reason I ended up being the primary. They would call me instead of her. They have been cashing checks and saying they haven't been getting them.

They continue to change the rules as they see fit. They continue to harass and add fees instead of acting like adults. Even when energy assistance is involved.

They really don't work with you. They are in a hurry to shut off your electic unless they have all there money and wont come out to pin point what is drawing so much power. They don't care about someone circumstances or if there are kid's in the house or an older person.

I have been with ECE for 2 years now. I have a geothermal system for heating/cooling and it is supposed to be less. I pay my bill on time every month. This last months bill was almost $400 and I paid it early. I cancelled the auto pay so they wouldn’t pull it twice. They pulled it for a second time anyway. So now I paid $800 this month and was told it will take 14 business days before the refund my money or I could use it on my account as a credit. I have called and talked to the company multiple times about getting my money back and they all say the same thing. “We are sorry but it will take 14 businesses days.” How does a multi million dollar company take 14 business days to return $400 dollars? This is pathetic!

A three phase. Monthly connection fee is $87!
Other electric companies three phase systems are half the price then residential single phase. Hence why you pay more for three phase equipment. Because it saves the electric company more money to move more power on smaller wires and just more efficient for both party's.
But East Central has it backwards. They have it so three phase is more expensive than single phase.
You look at another feedback they respond back about pizza slices on the same issue. But the thing is a three phase line will supply single phase on same pole lines . Example the next door house 300ft away on the same three phase line has single phase transformer. Yet they pay half the connection fee vs me yet they use the same power lines.
Monthly Connection fee is way too high.
Which is unaffordable and unacceptable. I bet the CEOs of this monopoly make over a million a year..... Which would cut everyone connection fee in half if they paid them like normally wages.

Long story short, I called in to activate a new account for a property we recently purchased and I had a rough time getting the rep. I was speaking with to understand what I was asking him to do, he got irritated with me and said he could not do what I was asking (me knowing I could from past experiences) said I knew what I was talking about so I asked to be transferred to his boss to talk with them about my predicament. I was then transferred to a gal named Ashley G. Who was extremely patient and professional throughout the whole ordeal. She did an outstanding job handling the issue I was having quickly (for what it all played out to be) and we got it resolved. As hard as they are to come by these days we need more people that care about their clients needs like this out there. 5 stars overall for todays interaction. Thanks Ashley!

Have had service through East Central Energy for more than 20 years. Power outages have been rare and they are quick to restore power when it does happen. Rates have never been great, but the recent increase of the basic service charge to 45 is extremely jewish. Unfortunately one can't shop around for electric companies.
