Even though the Mall of America is about a 10-15 minute walk away, they offer a shuttle to and from which is great during cold days. You just need to call in advance for the shuttle or book it at the front desk in the lobby and they usually do it every 30 mins up until 10pm I believe (maybe 11pm...I forget). They also offer a shuttle to and from the airport. It's really nice and saves you on Uber and Lyft prices. The hotel was nice. The staff was very friendly. It is close to the airport so if you are a sensitive sleeper, just know you'll hear airplanes up until about 10pm. I'm a sensitive sleeper but it didn't bother me too much. Ear plugs helped me though. The AC worked fine. It was cold outside so I didn't need to rely on the air conditioner too much but it did what it had to do. Not the highest blowing A/C or furthest reaching but again, this is Minnesota, if you're traveling in the Fall or Winter then you don't need to rely on the AC that much. WiFi worked well. No microwave in the room but there is one in the hotel lobby. Hotel lobby is actually very nice by the way. Mini fridge is in the room and spacious. Walls in the room are a bit thin so hope you don't have loud neighbors. There's no furniture in the room besides the bed and a table and chair. Very minimalistic but I didn't mind. All floor, no carpet. Bathroom provides liquid soap, lotion, shampoo, and conditioner. Complimentary breakfast offered and was actually pretty good. Nice gym. I'd say, the hotel overall is a 4 to me for its value but I'll give it a 5 for the great staff and very helpful shuttle service. It's about 20 minutes from US Bank Stadium if you're traveling for a Vikings game or event. Plenty of food and convenience areas around.Walkability: Close to Mall of America

Don't come here if you want a good night's sleep. Plane engines are incredibly loud. Had no idea this would be an issue until I was in my bed about to sleep. All of a sudden I heard this really strong engine noise and realized this would be my night.

Tru by Hilton hotels are always awesome. Super friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast each morning and coffee/tea available 24/7. Nice pool and outdoor sitting areas.Rooms: Very nice clean room. Great place to hang up clothing. Nice shower and plenty of towels. Lots of areas to plug in for charging.Food & drinks: Lots of food and drinks available in the hotel “store”. Also easy access to Whirlyball, attached to the hotel, for fun games, restaurant, and bar.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. I think it was one of the best experiences that we've had. We ended up staying a few days for medical treatments in the area. The staff was kind, the hotel was immaculate, and it's lovely to look out your window to see farmland and trees. We saw deer and turkeys from our window. It's also crazy close to the Mall of America, but you wouldn't know! The planes are a bit loud overhead, but it's actually kind of fun to see them so close. We will definitely be back!

Overall, it was an okay stay. The location is convenient to MOA and the airport but not that close to a grocery store. The nearest is about 10 minutes away.I found the accommodations adequate but the decor was sparse and feels utilitarian and cold. The mattress was very uncomfortable. The bar that is supposed to be a closet is not usable and a sharp edge of the metal sliced my finger open taking my clothing down. Rooms are not very insulated for noise. Any rowdy guests in the hallway or next door will jolt you out of a deep sleep and the second night the tv was blasting next door so loud I couldn’t sleep. The staff did take care of it though which I appreciated. I couldn’t ever get the heat to work correctly and was freezing most of my visit. This time of year they should be going through and setting the thermostat and turning off of the AC. If I tried to do the temp at 68 the AC would switch on. The thermostat was so cheap, Hilton needs to invest in Nest thermostats please. The hotel uses very strongly scented laundry detergent/softeners which I reacted to. My clothing still smells of that detergent yuck. If you are sensitive like me, this is not a good fit for you. I did appreciate the free access to laundry in the lobby but front loading washers must be kept open to dry otherwise they get mildew. I cleaned out the washers and did a cleaning cycle before using them. Just baking soda and vinegar once a week will keep the washers clean but you must first scrub clean including the entire rubber seal. And leave the doors propped open to dry.I found the staff very nice and the breakfast was standard fare. Would love actual silverware instead of plastic or at least cutlery that doesn’t bend each time you take a bite. Based on the above there are better options in the vicinity so I most likely wouldn’t return.Walkability: Close to MOA, restaurants.Food & drinks: Complimentary breakfast and has a little shop with snacks available for purchase.

Our room was excellent. The breakfast they provided was not so good. The walk to the mall was about 2 to three blocks. Not bad at all. There are restaurants close by. The pool was nice. Great workout room. The 3 elevators were as slow as I've experienced anywhere. My only complaint was price. But everything is expensive these days.

Good hotel that seems pretty new. The pool was good and fairly warm. Continental breakfast included eggs, cereal, pancakes, waffles, and various breads and bagels. They had some fruit and juices. Great location, near the Mall of America. I was concerned about aircraft noise, given the proximity to the airport, but it was okay inside.

Pros: clean room, nice staff, free breakfastCons: LOUD!!This is the loudest hotel I have ever stayed at!If it isn't for the kids constantly running around the hotel and shaking the rooms, then the planes taking off constantly will also keep you awake. I live by an Airforce base (so I am not a stranger to plane noise) but this place has to be directly on the flight path of MSP. I have stayed at other hotels in the same vicinity, and I have not heard any plane noise. My family and I had numerous conversations about moving hotels because of the noise. If you have kids, you might not be bothered by kids constantly running, jumping and screaming but as a child free person, it was definitely bothersome and an unenjoyable experience. Also, this hotel doesn't give you a closet or anything. You get a couple coat hooks and a place to shove your bags below your bed.

Our first stay at TRU.What a great hotel. If you want proximity to MoA, this is the place to stay. It's right across the street! The staff are super friendly, and the rooms are very modern and clean. No carpets on the floors is awesome.

From the second My Partner and I arrived on September 11th 2023 we were treated with kindness respect and true professionalism. From the Shuttle Driver Joe to the Kind Lady named Katie behind the counter there was never a second when we and others were not treated like honored guests! The location is superb. Minutes from the International Airport and Mall Of America and real close to Minneapolis and Saint Paul. Next to the Hotel there is a sheep farm with a field that the sun rises over, and a nature reserve an easy 15 minute walk away. They also have an outdoor fireplace going most of the time where we spent many an hour drinking coffee and just enjoying ourselves. We are going back next spring on our trip across the Country, and we will gladly spend more time at the Tru by Hilton Minneapolis Mall of America! Honestly, in my 64 years of living and traveling and meeting people, this was one of my absolute favorite places to visit!

Honestly this is the worst Hilton hotel I have stayed at. The reception ladies do not greet you. The pool was full of salt and was very cold for a “heated” pool. There was no spa tub even though it was suggest on the signage that there was one. The breakfast is subpar at best. For a hilton hotel the breakfasts are usually very good and this was just not good. Very disappointing, the cream cheese tasted spoiled and the apple juice was watered down. The rooms are clean. Although, I have never slept worse at a hotel before. With the air all the way down it was still warm in the room. Nice that they have games to play in the lobby. Overall I would NOT stay here again.

Had a pleasant stay here at this hotel. Staff was super nice and the rooms were welcoming. Loved the free breakfast, wifi, parking, and how they had a shuttle bus that took you to the Mall of America.Nearby activities: Mall of America

This hotel is awful. I booked through Expedia but I called and cancelled due to a family emergency a few days before our trip, I explained the situation and they pretended they were understanding and reassured me that they would not charge me. Then the evening after my cancelled trip, they charged me - and not only that but they charged me over $50 more than what my reservation had originally cost. When I called to get it taken care of, an older woman answered the phone, interrupted me and didn’t even apologize or anything, just told me to call me bank. They are so unprofessional and completely terrible people. We rescheduled our trip and are making sure to not stay here when we come back.

They have a "househeeping by request" system. No housekeeping (room cleaned, beds made, towels, etc) unless you request it. Problem is when we did , requested towels be replaced, while we were told that would happen ( called the front desk at 6:30 a.m. were gone all that day returning at 10 p.m.) it did not. We called the frontdesk again and were told no one was available and we'd have to come down and get them ourselves. So a self service hotel ... not was I was looking for
