Luther Hyundai in Bloomington used to be great! For the last ten years I have brought my car there for service. About 4 months ago I put down $500 for an order on a new Sonata Hybrid Limited. The sales person who I got was incredibly unknowledgeable and none responsive. I had to keep calling him to get updates even though he told me he would stay in touch. I called today to see if they had ordered my 2024 model as requested. It turns out that my sales person is no longer there and no one even bothered to call and tell me!I know the pandemic and supply chain problems have been really rough for car sales and car salesmen, but the folks at Luther Hyundai Bloomington just don’t seem to give a damn anymore.I talked with another sales person today who seemed absolutely disinterested. After talking for several minutes it was clear he really didn’t care, so I have decided to have them refund my money and go to Luther Hyundai in Burnsville where I bought my first Hyundai. They are much better.

I've used this Hyundai in the past multiple times for mechanical work and for routine maintenance. This time, however, the price for the service package doubled, and beyond this, I was forgotten about.The price was expensive for the services offered, but I've had such a great experience with them and I wanted it done right so I agreed.I brought my car in, on time, at 8:30 in the morning. I was told it would take 1.8 hours to get the work done, and then I could be on the way, since I was waiting for it, which would be around 10:40. However with no communication, once over two and a half hours passed, at 11:30 I finally had to reach out to my service advisor to see what the hold up was. He responded he didn't know, then stated I need new front brakes and quoted for that, ehich was very high for what ive seen in the past, and that then I'd get my car back by 12:30. I declined at this time, hoping then I'd get my car back before noon.Finally, I get my my car back at 12:10. The service advisor apologized, saying he didn't know what the mechanics didn't understand about 10:40. However, wouldn't you think he'd reach out and check on them when my car didn't come back at that time? Why did I have to reach out to him for an update? People who had gotten there far after me got their car back before me- even serious repairs like a full catalytic converter! Where does it take 4 hours for an oil change and tire rotation?This place used to be so great, but now I don't recommend it. Because I fear if I didn't reach out, I'd have never gotten my car back. But oh, they offered $50 off for 'when' I come to get my brakes back.They didn't even put my car key back on the ring I gave them at drop off. Two stars because he did apologize, and my car isn't broken.

I had a great experience at Luther Hyundai in Bloomington! A special shout out to our salesman’s AK who was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He went above and beyond throughout the whole process and ensured that everything went smoothly for us! I am thankful and was able to get the car I wanted within the little time we had. I would highly recommend AK! You are Awesome! ?

Josh was excellent with getting me started with a new lease after my previous one ended. Quick, straightforward, and no pressure from the sales staff. I’m looking forward to working with them in the future when my lease ends.

Poor communication from start to finish. They don't even look up at you when you walk through the door. Phone calls go unreturned, text messages unanswered. Staff gave conflicting answers to my questions. They made me pay to fix things that they broke while they had the car. They returned the car dirty and out of gas after 16 weeks.

Thoroughly impressed with our salesman's (Musab) knowledge and professionalism. This was my first time looking at Genesis and he went above and beyond to make sure that I had all of the information to make a good decision.Highly recommend him and the dealership.

As I write this I'm actually still surprised that I need to. I went in having an issue with one tire which led to needing all 4 replaced. Staff was kind, but pricing was sky high and the tires weren't in stock, I was in on a Friday. I was told the tires would be in come Monday that week. I never. Heard back. I should add in i had warranty on the issue tire as well, I had the same tire repaired here 2 times before. Leading up to this date I had been needing to fill air in the issue tire for 2 weeks waiting for this appointment just to have to await til Monday. I can understand this, but then never getting a call back Monday or. Ever, truly shocked me. I had to purchase 4 new tires elsewhere. Unfortunately that will be the last I go to this location.

I want to start by saying if you do go to this dealership- definitely work with Tyler N. He was great! I went and saw him (and the car I wanted to buy) multiple times. I felt no pressure from him. He was A+ all the way! So, now i will tell you why I am giving a 1 star review. The second time I went to see Tyler to test drive the car I was pretty sure I wanted, they had two of them left on the lot. My husband was out of town and I told Tyler I wanted him to return before I made the final decision. He had no problem with that. I did ask him to text me if one of the two sold and he said he would! My husband came home and after a discussion we decided I would go buy the car. I texted Tyler and told him what day/time I would be coming in and he replied and said he would be available. The day I was going to meet him I received a call from the sales manager confirming I was coming in and I said I was! Before I arrived Tyler texted me to say that one of the two cars had sold that day. I was already on my way there, so I did not think anything of it because I knew there was still one available. When I arrived, I saw Tyler right away. He was in the sales managers office and he did not look happy. I sat down at his desk and he came over and informed me that the General Manager of the dealership was going to be buying the other car. Keep in mind, it was still on the lot. I first clarified with Tyler that it wasn't the person that called me to confirm my appointment who was buying the car and he said it was not. I said, "I am here, ready to write a check for this car. Can't the general manager buy one from the group of cars that is coming in at the end of the next month?" He said he was going to see what he could do. He returned to his desk and informed me that my options were to put a deposit down on one that was due to come in the following month or I could look at some of the other models they had available that night. Because Tyler was such a great guy, I said I would look at the other car(s) but the more i thought about the situation, the more unhappy i became. Here I was, a customer- checkbook in hand ready to buy a car that had been on their lot and available to purchase that very day and now I am being told (after a 50 minute drive to the dealership) that the general manager of the company is buying it. I couldn't believe it. Wouldn't he want to let one of his employees sell the car and HE could purchase one of the cars that was due to arrive the following month before it is even on the lot for customers to see? I let Tyler know that I thought it was a totally unacceptable situation for both myself AND him! I am sure he would have loved to sell me the car! I shook his hand and said I thought at this point I just needed to walk away. I let him know that if someone could talk the general manager into letting me buy it, I would come back and write a check. He said he was going to go back inside and discuss it with them but unfortunately, I did not hear from him. Which leads me to believe he was unsuccessful in getting the GM to do the right thing and let me buy the car I had come there to buy! I looked at their website when I got home and the GMs bio on their website says "Luther Bloomington Hyundai's customers are at the top of my priority list. I want customers to know that we have your best interests in mind and we will work very hard to exceed your expectations." I guess this quote only applies to situations that don't interfere with what he wants.

Had a great experience here! I'm a tough customer with a lot of wants and I'm tight with my money. Tyler and Luke worked hard to make sure my needs were met. I love my Santa Fe! I would send anyone here!

Bloomington Hyundai has consistently disappointed me with their service. On my last two visits, they failed to address my car issues adequately. During one visit, they improperly reattached the under panel, forcing me to return just before closing time to have it properly fixed, and they had to compensate with a free oil change. On another occasion, I brought my car in for lights and sensor issues, only to have the problem reoccur shortly after leaving the dealership. Throughout this experience, the manager, Kiland Lindberg, treated me poorly, as if I couldn't afford anything despite having purchased a $65,000 car. My overall satisfaction with the service at this dealership is extremely low. Grade ( F- )

I used to get decent service here after buying a new car a few years ago. Ever since they stopped offering free pickup and drop off service, it’s been god awful. They CANNOT get you out for an oil change in less than 2 hours. The last dozen or so times have been horrendously long waits and now due to construction, they don’t even have a decent place for you to sit these long waits.Make sure you have NOTHING to do after your appointment because it will take double whatever they tell you. At least.

We were in today just starting our car search. Had a great experience with salesperson Tyler N. He sat with us through 3 test drives and answered all our questions patiently. I don’t know if we’ll end up buying a Hyundai, but wanted to call out Tyler for giving us great service!
