My uncle purchased a car from here and it is a complete lemon. It broke down one week after purchase and brought it to another shop. The car has been in a flood and can not be repaired. They did not disclose that the vehicle was in a flood and are not willing to work with him. I would not do business with them if you don't have money to through out the window

Wish I could give this place negative stars. He ruined my vehicle. Brought my car in for a fuel pump replacement and now my trunk won't open and my rear lights don't work.

I brought my car in for a new vacuum pump and within 12 hours of picking up the car the new vacuum pump exploded into the engine of the car causing me to total the vehicle out. The two shops I took my car to afterward both said it was directly DJ petes fault in how they installed the vacuum pump. I tried to work something out with these guys to at least get a refund for the vacuum pump they installed that failed and they were completely unwilling to do anything at all to fix the situation. Very unsatisfied and I will never bring a vehicle back to them. Untrustworthy to say the least.

Probably one of the worse mechanics on the Minnesota state , he saw that I was clearly from out of the state and tried charging me 1,200 just to see what is actually wrong. I get that if you do not know what to do . Do not be shy on telling me that you don’t know how to fix it. I argue with him back on fort to release my car so I can go to different mechanic, we argue till I got it back worst mechanic does not know what to do in your car DO NOT TRUST HIM if you are from outa the state.

I showed up on a Saturday afternoon with what turned out to be a failed alternator. I explained that I was from out of town and Dan told me he’d do whatever he could to help me out. He worked until midnight installing the part and got us on the road. Truly above and beyond effort.

Wish We could give negative stars. The guy is a crook. Found reviews and tried. He said car was a junker that he couldn't fix for more than car was worth. Toyota Prius. Offered $500 to take it off our hands. Mother and daughter in. I knew better. We limped it home. Gave it more care to see if we could keep it a few weeks just to sell it for worth. Kept going. New mechanic just fixed it with basic but necessary fixes. Runs like a charm. DJ Pete's Auto is a scam. Tried to con us out of many thousands of dollars. Is that because we are just girls? Everything they told us was wrong was a lie.New mechanic as of last year actually laughed about it. Couldn't believe we went through that last year. Don't use DJ Pete's ever. You pay for absolute crap in your ear.

Contacted Dan and got an estimate on a new muffler that required some welding. Work was scheduled less than a week later, was completed on time, and a little under the estimate. Very happy!!Service: Exhaust

I brought a friend there and they are charging her $385.00, just to look at her car. Then after that she thought she could just drive the car home. He told her that she can't drive it. And he charges $100.00 an hour to just have it in his lot. Most mechanic/auto repair shops would do a check and give an estimate for the work that needed repair. This would be a courtesy and gives the consumer a positive trust that the auto repair place is trust worthy. And thus the consumer is more likely to return abs recommend there services.What DJ Auto, had done is over charge a senior citizen with very low income.

I can’t say enough about how professional and accommodating Dan was when my daughter had to bring her jeep in to him. The priciest MECHANIC IN THE WHOLE MN STATE, $135 for checking my car and don’t even telling me what is wrong, $60 for the codes, $48 for “testing” the battery… he wanted to charge us $340 for JUST THE ALTERNATOR, and $135/hr for his work… PERSONALLY I WOULD RECOMMEND A DEALERSHIP MECHANIC, the price would be basically the same.. and at least they will give you a guarantee !!Save your money and your time!

Nice guy. Helped assess our truck in an emergency situation. 4/5 is due to the cost 350+ for an inspection was about double what I'm used to seeing.
