I went to see HairAttitude by Amanda, just by searching her work on Instagram, etc, I selected Amanda. I have long hair and I dye my hair with blonde highlights, so I understand is not an easy task. Amanda was very nice during my 1st session and I left the salon happy. When I arrived to my house, I noticed that all over my head were all of these "hair bleeders" and my hair looked awful, almost like a bad painted tiger. I had a trip the following days so I had to wait until I got back to get it fix. I reached out to Amanda and she was able to fix my issue for free. Months after I tried to reach out to her to schedule a new appointment and she never got back to me, I thought maybe she will but it never happened. I reached out for a second time and she also never got back. It's like she literally ghosted me.My experience was so unpleasant and unprofessional. I rather give my service to someone else that really care about the needs of the people that are paying for a service and not to this type of people that chose not to even answer. I then went to another stylist, but she does deserve a 5 star review.

Today, I saw Kate Sarazin, at JC Salon on Ulysses Street in Blaine for volume eyelash extensions, brow wax, and tint. To say the service and result was "GREAT" is an understatement. My lashes and brows look amazing. And, Kate was a lovely conversationalist and respectful of quiet time.This was my first experience with extensions, and I was nervous before booking the appointment. I emailed Kate prior to booking, and she promptly responded with detailed attention to my inquiries. So I booked. She was able to get me in three days after I inquired! Not only did my lashes look extraordinary, after waxing my brows Kate indicated she didn't think the tint service was necessary as she would only tint the outer edges of my brows--I appreciated the honesty! Kate Sarazin is a true talent and worked wonders on my lashes and brows. Thank you Kate!

Steph Mei is newer to this salon and I followed her from the old one. She is an amazing stylist and an even more amazing person. She listens and does exactly what you want and ask for. She is friendly, honest and very fair with her prices. Customer service is hard to come by and I give Steph a 10/10. Thank you!

Please note that this review is a reflection of the owner of the salon, not of the tenants providing services within. I am a tenant inside of JC Salon in Blaine. I moved my business to JC Salon in Blaine in November of 2022. Please note that Brent was aware of my line of work upon entering a contract with me. I am a Licensed Practical Nurse that offers ear piercing services. The piercing process can be extremely scary for young children and unfortunately, it can cause a buildup of emotions. I think it's fair to say most people understand this. Today I received notification from the salon owner (Brent) that he has received several complaints regarding the noise level in my studio. He informed me that a recording of a minor being pierced was taken by someone within the salon and forwarded to him (without consent). Keep in mind this is the first time that Brent has informed me of the complaints and I personally have not received any complaints from the other tenants. I respectfully shared my thoughts regarding the issue and explained that I have also had to tolerate many interruptions and disruptions caused by other tenants throughout my short time at JC salon, it's an extremely busy and loud salon! Brent went hours without communicating between text messages. We have a JC Salon Facebook page for the tenants to utilize and connect with each other. After Brent ignored my request for the names of the tenants who reported concerns, I decided to reach out to the other tenants via the Facebook page to apologize for any disruptions I've caused and respectfully ask that they come to me with any concerns in the future. My post was removed from the page within minutes of posting. When I confronted Brent about removing the post he stated that my comments within the post are "unprofessional and contrary to our salons values". (Please view pictures of my post below for reference.) He stated that I violated my lease by "not conducting your business in a professional manner so as to interact positively with associates in the salon". Brent also made the comment "I don't think it's a good fit for either of us. If you would like to terminate your lease early, I'm willing to do so." Keep in mind, I just moved my business to Blaine and business just started to pick back up. I have no desire or intention in terminating my lease. I respectfully declined to terminate the lease. He then responded by letting me know that I have two days to correct the defaults or he is going to terminate my lease. He initially did not provide me with any suggestions or direction regarding his requirements to keep me in compliance, despite my asking multiple times. I feel that my concerns, thoughts, and feelings were completely disregarded by Brent. I strongly encourage anyone interested in starting or moving your business to a salon suite setting that you do your research prior. I never once experienced issues while conducting business within the My Salon Suite in Woodbury. Best,Ashley Quirk, Licensed Practical Nurse
