I have a 2018 13’ Scamp. Yes it’s a fun little camper and for that I would give it 4 stars. But customer service is lacking for the price one pays for these trailers. So if you’re a handy diy person, great. Not so much if you’re not. The top door hinge has leaked around the screw holes since purchased new. Returned to Scamp and supposedly repaired but issue has continued. Finally after 5 years of dealing with the leak, hinge cover cracked. I thought to myself, now I can get a new one and hopefully that will take care of the leak. New parts arrived from Scamp. I hired someone to replace the parts. But they didn’t fit right. Scamp customer service says I have to drill bigger screw holes, buy longer screws and get the hinge pad “shaved down” to fit the older curved door. They only sell the parts for the new straight door. Ridiculous!! The curved door was the standard on any model before 2022. Many thousands of Scamps on the road and Scamp doesn’t carry the parts for that door. Customer Service told me they don’t have “time” to shave down the parts for their customers. Not a happy customer.

We upgraded our 2010 last year with a nice new one! Workmanship is awful! Molding came off the cupboards halfway thru the summer. The worst is the cushions—I swear they are made from styrofoam bricks! So, now we have to purchase some sort of foam to be able to sleep! I want my old one back!!

Stopped here to check out the Scamp travel trailers. If you are thinking of buying a small size trailer take a look at these. They have a ton of options. Don't expect to take one home soon tho. There is nearly a 2 year waiting/building list. Ask for Shane. He is very knowledgeable on their product.

I've been rehabbing an 85 Scamp. While many of the parts they carry don't work for my baby, the guys in the parts department have been a wealth of helpful information and always happy to help.Thank you!

We purchased the Scamp 13 trailer for a cross country business trip. Though it is new and light, I am extremely disappointed in the ongoing customer service from Scamp. Upon beginning our travels, we realized that the air conditioner didn’t work. Thinking it was something simple, we stopped into a service center only to find out that our brand new trailer had been wired completely incorrectly and was UNSAFE for us to be in. We ended up getting stranded for the weekend while the service center had to diagnose and rewire the system. Scamp acted like it was no big deal that they not only screwed up on a brand new unit, making the wiring unsafe, but that it stranded us on our travels without a place to stay. Customer service never got back to me when I wrote in. My husband and I don’t typically write Poor reviews but their total attitude about the whole thing and even giving us a bit of resistance to us and the service center about how long the repair would take was a bit ridiculous. We love our trailer but this should not be something that happens on a 4 month old unit and Scamp should be a bit more concerned about how screwed up the wiring was.

I have a base 13 foot Scamp on order for pick-up Spring of 2021. Did a lot of research before ordering, so I'm confident I will be getting a quality product; Wayne was very helpful, looking forward to meeting him and having a tour of the factory floor, if the border is open by the time the trailer is ready. Plan on spending a week touring campsites in northern Minnesota before heading home to Manitoba, a 5 hour drive to Backus.

I was also sold a lemon. It was filthy inside when I got it, even though I had asked Scamp to ensure it was cleaned. The walk through was less than minimal. The owner's manual consisted of all the installation guides. I took it from Backus to an RV park near International Falls, MN. The first thing I found out was I had no hot water. The next thing was that as I tried to open an AC vent it broke off in my hand. It took five months for Scamp to replace it. It took multiple calls to find out that the rocker switch essential to hot water was in an outside cabinet only talked about as where to drain water put in the external water tank. It didn't help that the switch was taped over and virtually invisible. I made that trip to pick up the Scamp, from Texas, and one other quick trip to a state park. As I was readying the Scamp for a trip in November I found I had a completely dead battery and the converter, about which I was told absolutely nothing, wasn't working, thus the dead battery. As for warranty, I was given the phone numbers to the companies that manufactured the parts and told to contact them directly. Regarding the battery, nothing was said about maintaining the battery other than it recharged when plugged into my truck or on shore power. It would have been nice to know that the battery requires water (my vehicles have had closed batteries for decades) and if the converter which you don't know about doesn't work the battery will die. So in five months I have a useless Scamp. If Progressive Dynamics decides the charger wasn't really faulty I am out the at least $180 for the part. Once I eventually get it in the mail it is up to me to find someone to install and test it. From my standpoint--stay far, far away from Scamp trailers unless you are fully capable of doing all maintenance and repairs, including electrical work. Once your Scamp is driven off their lot Scamp couldn't care less about you as a customer.
