“Helped us to pick the best Medicare advantage program for us based on our medications and needs for specialized medical care. They also helped us compare our retiree plans at work with those plans available in Minnesota. FInally, helped us to ask good questions based on our needs. We called the office and set up an appointment to meet with a expert advisor. There is no cost for this and they gave us an excellent booklet of all the Medicare plans available in Minnesota. We’ve also called from time to time with specific questions - excellent help each time.”

“It has all the basics (plus more) and the gym is kept very clean. My main complaints are the Saturday & Sunday hours are limited (not best for us later risers) and some of the equipment is becoming a bit dated.... I also wish there were more classes, but for the price I think it's a good value. You may be able to get a discount through your health insurance as well, since they are connected with the main programs out there.”

“I put in an order the day because I was really craving an m&m cookie, came out of it happier than I went in, and not just because of the cookies! Best service I've ever had and all because of the worker Ash! He packed my order and I have never had a stranger do so amazingly and ethically. He deserves a promotion and then some!”

“i love this studio! one yoga holds a broad selection of class offerings from physically challenging to gentle + restorative. the environment is embracing, supportive, and diverse. it's also located in one of my favorite areas in the twin cities, seward neighborhood. highly recommended for the newest practitioners or those who are well acquainted with the path of all that yoga offers. there are classes, workshops, and events for everyone in their beautiful bohemian environment within the ivy building. be sure to check out the periodic sound bath offerings created by the amazing tamiko french, (a truly transformational experience).”

“We volunteered there during Xcel Energy's Day of Service. We had a smaller group, but we were able to prep a large number of school supply boxes for those schools and teachers who students are in the most need. A very fulfilling day was had by all.”

“A quirky but cool store for very inexpensive art supplies. My daughter likes to go here for art projects. For a few bucks, you can get a bunch of neat stuff.I like the re-used post cards, many of which have hand written messages on them.”

“Awesome, friendly people here. My husband rents tools here often for home projects. They have a free section outside their door, at least on 9/13/23, they did. And they have several things for sale in the entrance too! I told my husband to buy anything he wanted - he did! The only thing I would recommend, to be changed, is to make the signage - BIGGER -... The first picture (hopefully the way Google portrays them, it'll be my first picture,) shows how small the Tool Library sign is. That'd be my only suggestion! Great parking available, many entrances available too! Check their website for varying hours!”

“My experience with MacPhail was nothing but amazing. My voice teacher, Thomas Speckhard was the best. I had to pause my voice lessons because of school, but I hope to return again once my schedule is more manageable. I learned so much about voice and singing from teacher Tom, and I appreciate his approach for an aspiring-frustrated singer like myself. Lol. He is the best! Thank you, MacPhail.”

“My experience with twin cities rise was was a amazing and eye opening experience. I had 2 amazing advisors Jason and Scott who taught me the skills to be successful in life by learning about the 21st century skills in career development and emotional intelligence. I learned so much about myself and why I have been struggling to find a job. I want to pass these skills on to people in the community. This program has opened up so many doors for me. I can't wait. For the next steps in this journey. Thank to everyone in the twin cities rise team.”

“Our Church volunteered to pack meals as a group one evening and it was very enjoyable and heart warming. Everyone should volunteer at least once, it brings awareness of the great need there is locally. Kudos to Every Meal for a much needed service to our community families!”

“Great reuse/salvage warehouse for reclaimed wood and other building or renovation materials. I’ve purchased reclaimed wood flooring and rough sawn lumber reclaimed from their deconstruction efforts to keep building materials out of the landfill while creating jobs. Here’s how I used rough sawn wood to cover a new beam.”

“We just took the Labor & Birth Basics 2 class tonight with Mary at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. I would have to say that it was much needed to understand comfort measures. There were demos like birth balls, Rebozo wraps, and yoga mats. Alot of the material focuses on how control your situation and having good support partner. We did breathing exercises at first then transitioned to massage. Mary was great to explain things in her perspective of doula. Overall, my wife appreciated we took this class together. Already we got our birthing ball sized so know which one to get at Target.”

“When I was younger, about 24 years ago, I used to go to this church to eat dinner. My family was not well off and this helped us a lot. My mom had 5 children at the time(6 now). But I will never forget how grateful we were for this church. I will also never forget about this elderly man who taught me how to whistle through my hands by cupping my hands together. Thank you for being there for my family. I am forever grateful! ♥️♥️”

“I was there for a concert. The church was great!! Pews were well- marked with tape. This allowed us to self- separate for spacing. There were many people, and still enough seating. Concert was Border CrosSing, Classical Latin American music!! Everyone wore masks-- Yay!!”

“I could go on and on about how much I love and appreciate Compassionate Action for Animals (and I often do!), but can sum up my feelings this way as well: CAA has forever changed the lives of so many animals and people for the better...including mine. If you want to be a part of a group that’s inclusive, empowering, compassionate, focuses on the positive, and effectively makes change for the most abused animals—farmed animals—but also impacts positive change for all animals...this is the group to join and support. Get involved and meet new people that share your compassionate views and choices, do good for animals, share tasty vegan food and learn to cook compassionate meals, and never worrying again about how (and with whom) you’ll spend your holidays and weekends. CAA hasn’t you covered: Memorial wknd farm sanctuary visit & picnic; 4th of July potluck; Thanksgiving potluck; and more. You just might find love (as I did!), and you’ll certainly find you’re in good company.p.s, Oops, once again I went on and on!?”
