I would never ever suggest this place to anyone!! I called the store in February asking for details on making a custom ring from rings of my mother who passed & was told I could re-use the gold & the stones & just stop in, they'd be happy to help. I came into the store a couple of weeks ago, I was told I needed to speak with the jeweler to do the design & he was currently waiting on someone. I waited for him to finish up & waited for him to help the next party ahead of me. After waiting a full 30 min to talk with him one the assistants told him I was next. The man still took it upon himself to start helping a couple who literally just walked in. And when I commented on the situation he told me he was multi tasking & overheard that I'm wanting a custom design. In the meantime, I asked for a ring to be resized. I was given a price & that it'd be 1-2 weeks & that the prongs may need to be redone but they'd call me if needed. The jeweler finally came over & assisted me after waiting another 20 min for him to help the other couple. I was clear in what I wanted, I wanted to reuse the stones & gold. He told me they won't reuse the gold & why. And also tried to tell me the birthstones were in poor shape & that I need to get new ones (which defeats the sentimental value that he knew I was trying to keep). We spent about 20min going over things & he said he'd call with a quote. I got a call about a week later quoting me a total of $6k. And I'm not even sure for what! Because all it was doing was making 3 bands. Today I stopped in since it had been 2 weeks & the ring I wanted resized should have been done. The assistant couldn't find it, she stepped out & went upstairs & came back with it. Tells me it hasn't been done yet, he hasn't gotten to it cuz he's been so busy. Then tried telling me the prongs for sure need to be done so that's an additional fee on top of resizing it. How would that be known if it hasn't been looked at yet?? I ended up taking the ring back, without it even being done. This place has HORRIBLE customer service, the jeweler there is EXTREMELY rude. And they try pushing for things that aren't needed. I have never had such a poor experience dealing with a jeweler before. If you want a good place to go, go to Monticello & check out Classique Jewelers. The owner is amazing, very personable & HONEST!

Not impressed. Brought a very unique wedding band and engagement ring in for a ballpark appraisal/to sell for a friend, Dan absolutely low balled me, after he even looked it up on the internet/examined it. This set was bought at a very prominent jewelry store out of state, I have the original sale invoice, Dan downplayed it’s quality and worth etc said the buyer got taken. said $1000 tops value. I took this to another local jewelry store, the senior appraiser was busy with another customer but took 10 secs to look at it, after finding out the bands were 14k white gold and the diamond is real and high quality, related by an employee, “$2500-$3500” and that was just eye balling it but stated it would be worth more after a more in-depth appraisal. Buyers and sellers beware. I will never return to Gould jewelry.

Their goldsmith Chris was able to repair a unique, bronze, heirloom belt buckle of mine, that needed a new belt loop. I wasn't sure how it would turn out but it was done quickly and way beyond my expectations, for a very very reasonable price! I was blown away. I've taken many things to Gould's for service and repair and always been satisfied. They have great knowledge and experience.

I brought in a ring that was my mother's that she had given me a long time ago. I never wore it as a ring and it sat in my jewelry box. I decided to have it made into a necklace. It turned out better than I expected. I have gotten so many compliments on it. Gould's did a fantastic job.

Dan Gould Jewelers takes care of there customers. I took my fiance's ring into Dan to have some repair work done. Even though I did not buy the ring from him he took care us as if we did. He went above and beyond what anyone would have ever done to take care of the situation and make sure we were happy with the finished product.We ended up needing to remake the ring due to some faults in the original ring. Not only did they completely recreate the ring and match the style we loved, the quality and workmanship was considerably higher than the original.I cannot say enough about how happy we are. Dan Gould Jewelers has customers for life. My fiance and I cannot thank Dan and his staff enough.
