Don't waste your money on this place! Took over a month of back and forth paperwork telling me everything was good until the last min. Then told me they couldn't accept me! Not worth the hassle! Still haven't gotten my deposit back of over $400.00

I lived here for over four years and it was great, however the move out process is a nightmare. They never gave me a walk through when I left, and claimed the appliances were too dirty to clean. When I saw the pictures that they had taken, they had to take apart the appliances in order to find the grime.

Youll have to get used to the disrespectful/unprofessional behavior from the management as well as other tenants. Uptight leasing agreements that a very loosely followed/enforced by the management company. The overpriced units are decent in quality, but the landscaping, property maintenance, and parking/garage spaces are sub par (not enough garages for half the tenants and very small parking spots).

I currently live in Runestone building. It was nice and peaceful the first year. Then new ownership of the buildings took place, but they retained DW management. Both have proven themselves incompetent and disrespectful to their own guidelines set in place for the “house rules” one of which I will point out is noise level being kept at a reasonable level. Management picks and chooses who needs to follow these guidelines and they do not take their complaint forms seriously. They moved a family in above us on 3rd floor knowing they have kids, and the amount of screaming/stomping/running and throwing items around up there is intolerable and goes on all hours of the day. We have multiple recordings, put in half a dozen or more complaint forms in, and they STILL have not taken action to address this situation, because it’s going on as of this moment. I know it’s not just my unit, because the next door neighbor is complaining of the same issues. This place is a joke, and for what you deal with living here it’s far overpriced. Do not consider living here, it’s one of the worst apartment complexes I have ever lived in regarding noisy people and incompetent/disrespectful owners. I’ve thankfully already found another place to live and will be leaving as soon as possible. I have been and will continue to tell people not to consider living here.

I would highly not recommend living at Granite Manor apartments. You have NO privacy here. You can not sit on your patio in the summer and have a beer outside. Libby the manager is very rude and makes it very uncomfortable to live here. I wish I would have never rented from this company.

We love it here at Granite Manor. It's a wonderful home for us in so many ways. No shoveling, cutting lawns, or outdoor work. It is country living at it's finest. Very well run, always spotless. Thank you Libby for all you do!!!

I am writing this review and I still have 2 weeks left on this regrettable 1 year lease. All I can say is ensure you read through everything on your lease contract and if there is something you have a concern about, make sure you have it added to the contract and not just listen to their verbal lies. My first negative experience came when I had my vehicle towed from the tenant parking lot on a 50 degree day over a half inch of snow when I was out of town! Thats right, there was no warning of this happening, no phone call, no email, no nothing asking if I could move my car out of our own parking lot, and nowhere in the lease contract is there any information about this. Libby the caretaker is the most negative attitude person I have ever come across and because she was having another bad day, she decided to tow 4 vehicles in the lot with no snow in the way so they could shovel nothingness. Since then I have submitted an appeal to reimburse the tow costs and have had my calls and emails neglected from the property manager. Today, I had my pre move out inspection done and was informed that I will be charged for cleaning and repairs, even though the apartment is cleaner and in better condition than the day I moved in! You are required to pay for carpet cleaning by the landlord after move out regardless if you do it yourself! And they will not tell you that in the original lease contract! And there are strips on the sides of the countertop that come off by themselves, which I was informed upon move-in that this was normal and will be replaced by the landlord for free, but now that Im moving out soon they are refusing to fix that and are saying I will be charged for a whole new countertop! A complete lie from what I was told on day 1. Overpriced, and management that wants nothing but to get every dime possible from you regardless of your experience is what it feels like to live here. Be prepared to pay nearly $1,000 when you move out, regardless of how flawless and clean your apartment is. I will be heading to small claims court soon!

Review of Runestone Manor, Alexandria, MN.I lived at Runestone Manor in Alexandria, MN from 3/13/2015 until 5/31/2015.I was renting a two bedroom apartment.I believe that this is a great place to live if you’re over the age of 65. If you’re in your 20’s as a single person or if you have a significant other, forget it.When I moved into this property, I stressed multiple times that I required a quiet atmosphere as I work from home for a multi-national hardware/software company. Libby promised that she was the “guard dog” and will address any concerns that I had. So, fast forward a few months. I had a new neighbor move in and they had a loud subwoofer bumping when they played music. There was a point where I recorded the sound that I could hear in my apartment and you could clearly understand the words and beats coming from that apartment. But after several written and emailed complaints, nothing happened. Now, apart from the noise issues, the apartment is one of the nicer places to live in Alexandria. But it’s nowhere near the quality of some apartments in other cities that go for approximately the same price. The alliances are low quality. For example, the microwave can’t keep time worth a damn and the oven cooks unevenly. The dishwasher doesn’t clean dishes, no matter what detergent you use, and it will leave residue on each item that was placed in there. The water is hard even though they have a commercial water softener in the basement, the thermostat is temperamental on it’s best day and in order to completely regulate the temperature during the winter, you need to have one of the windows cracked. The air conditioner is noisy and doesn’t have enough power to completely cool the entire 2 bed apartment. And if you try to keep it at 74 degrees or lower, it runs 24/7.Now, on to the move out process. I cleaned this apartment from top to bottom. I even brought in some people to help with that very task. One of which is my OCD mother-in-law who can clean her 4000 sq foot home from top to bottom in less than 3 hours. We followed the checklist to a ’T’. Yet, I was charged $69.00 for 6 hours of cleaning and $43.13 for 2.5 hours of repair work. When I disputed this transaction, I requested receipts and proof of work completed so I could verify this charge. 40 days later, I have yet to receive any correspondence on the matter. According to DW Jones, they had sent out the response 2 weeks ago.All in all, I am glad that I moved out of this particular apartment complex. I am able to find much better accommodations for a better price, better quality and better atmosphere for equal or lesser value.Bottom line: I would NOT recommend that you rent at this particular complex.
