Holiday Stationstores is a clean and well-stocked convenience store. The location is generally nice, with a clean coffee and soda area. Many staff members are noted as being friendly, helpful, and sweet, with some anticipating customer needs and being especially cheerful. Staff have been described as going out of their way to be helpful. However, experiences with some cashiers are inconsistent. One staff member was very rude, throwing change on the counter and being mean, which made a customer feel uncomfortable. Another cashier was impatient, immediately pressuring a customer to pay for fuel to avoid a register alarm instead of offering a normal greeting or allowing relaxed shopping. Just stopped during our Christmas Day trip from Mandan to Madison. The weather was tenuous so we were in need of a stretch break and breath of fresh air.
