I pulled in this morning through their gate, went inside to ask to have a few 40# tanks filled. The lady instantly snapped before I could say a word……..”you are not supposed to be inside our gate, move your truck before we will help you!”Wow!!! I politely moved my truck outside their gate and proceeded to take my tanks out of my truck when a man approached me saying …“Can I ask you a question? Why did you leave this cigarette butt in our parking lot?”I proceeded to tell him that it was not mine and that I don’t smoke……… he proceeded to say “you are lying and I caught you!!!” I politely told him I just want my tanks filled and he went off on me!!!I got back in my truck and left. OMG I can’t imagine speaking to one of my customers like this!

Go elsewhere for service and better pricing. They recommend autofill for better pricing and refill you when it hits 20% but in the spring, they refill you way before 20% so now you have all this fuel that you won't use before the next winter. Making it harder to switch providers because they will take back your partially filled tank BUT charge you an almost 50% restocking fee "per gallon". Customer service is not friendly. As you can see in other posts, Beth is not very friendly, slight condescending when trying to do fancy math on you even though she's wrong and Andy the Manager, just cuts you off. I've found at least 3 other providers that are much cheaper for the exact same service and will be gladly switching and eating the restocking fee, just out of principle to take my business elsewhere. Run, don't walk to another provider!

I’ve always gotten my tanks filled here, but the last three times I’ve been here they’ve had a closed sign on the door (during their stated hours) or “pumps not working” sign.Three strikes you’re out. I’ll make the extra mile drive to Taylor in the future for the same price and better front desk service.

Very good techs I had a leak to fireplace that CHS ignored. But then they terminated me because I had someone else deliver gas to my owned tank? Free country means a free market!

I have had multiple experiences with the front desk woman named Beth, each interaction has been varying degrees of rudeness and the opposite of customer service 101! These positions are the lasting impression that stays with customers. I am shopping for another supplier, I can be treated badly for a lot cheaper!

Great service and support. I had a tank filled by another company, was leaking when I mounted it horizontally in the fireplace. The guy at Altogas figured out it was improperly filled by the other company as it was over filled. He tested to make sure there weren't any leaks in the valve (all good) and then bleed some gas out. I was on my way. Thanks!
