The lady I had an interaction with was very unhelpful. Don't get me wrong, she explained what I needed to do but it was the way she didn't which was very off-putting. Almost condescending. Not that it matters, it's a government building, so nothing ever happens in regards to reprimanding their employees.

My honest opinion of this location is that they are a no nonsense staff. They are moving fast with no time to finesse. If you are easily offended, this may not be the location for you. However, if you need to get in and out fast, this is your place.
I came in as a walk-in for a Passport. The woman that helped me was on it. She did not have time for me to explain each form to her, she took my packet papers, shuffled through it and grabbed what she needed. I received my passport 2 1/2 weeks later. It’s not a pampered space, but the staff knows their stuff and keeps the line moving. They process paperwork efficiently and appreciate that.

Have had nice experiences with P.O. Box including warm and helpful workers since my SO and I started renting one a few months ago.

"I don't have time for you!" is the only help you'll get at this USPS. The clerks lie and do whatever they need to to get rid of you and make their own day easier.

Do NOT use their passport services if you’re unfamiliar with the process and looking for someone willing to explain it with you.
Renarda was the employee who processed mine and it was a horrible experience from start to finish. Was rude because I tried to smile for my picture. Didn’t review my application with me and did it behind closed doors.
I wrote my check for the total and not the required two separate transactions. I said I would go home to get new checks but Renarda recommended I use post office money order services. I asked how much it was and she said free. This sounded off to me but I agreed.
My receipt prints and there was a $2.10 money order fee which I point out to Renarda she gave me wrong info. At this point she became unhinged. She opened the cash register and gave me $2 to cover it then grabbed my receipt and started voiding the transaction and demanded I give her the money back she just gave me. I gave her the money back and told her she needed to stop voiding my transaction.
At this point she bluntly says you’re annoying me and I want you to leave. I again state that I’m telling her to stop voiding my transaction and to submit my documents. So now I have to hope this completely unhinged individual doesn’t mess with my personal documents or do anything dishonest. All because I pointed out she gave me wrong information, guess I should’ve paid the fee quietly so I didn’t hurt her ego too bad.
Update- today the lady working asked me why I was in line, I told her I was just dropping of a package with pre paid shipping. She yelled at me to use the drop box and would not scan it for me or take it…LAZY!
Please get new employees! Bad experience after bad experience here!!

Such unnecessary rudeness! I walked in and was immediately yelled at (not an exaggeration) for not seeing the “no internet” sign on the door. I don’t know why I’m surprised by the unprofessionalism, it’s a constant at this location. Like other reviewers, at a complete loss as to why the employees here act like petulant children and why nothing is done about it. Civil servants, eh?

Rude and unfriendly every time - seem to treat all their customers that way. Just don’t get it. Are they being abused and taking it out on the patrons? Most recently tried to get passport application completed, waited 2 weeks for a weekend appointment due to work schedule - rude voice message left 5 minutes before our appointment saying it was cancelled, no explanation, told us to go to Ann Arbor to try walk in (for 3 passports an hour before closing…as if that would happen) or reschedule for Monday. I will not try to use their services again. My advice drive to another USPS location with reliable service and hopefully more cordial employees.

Terrible they always tell you a package is being delivered a day or two before the actual date and is very annoying, told me my package was at my mailbox but was empty!

This post office in Ypsilanti has the world’s worst staff I have ever seen. All the of the staff seems to an attitude all the time. I got a message saying my package was here at 12:19. I left work and came here because I simply couldn’t just call and check. So I got here at 12:49. To be told that my mailbox is full. Which that was a completely bold face lie. And that I couldn’t get my package today. Because I got the run around about the real reason. So I just clocked out wasted my time and gas to deal with a very rude staff. That I wish I could give less than one star. They need to replace everyone in there with more friendly helpful staff members.

Counter person was rude. Took 5 minutes to end her personal conversation then was annoyed when she had to do her job. The worst part was she slammed my fragile package into the outgoing mail bin after, like I did something wrong to her.

Fast efficient service! I don't send packages often so I'm grateful to Anthony who was polite and helpful in noting my options. Thank you!
