Writing my 1st review EVER!!!! Because the lady in recieving was AWESOME!!!! She came in at 6am and got all our trucks unloaded BEFORE our appt times!!! Dope!!!

Definitely will put this place down as do not return to had a 6am delivery to make showed up at 545am went to check in and dealt with attitude from lady first thing as she does not open til 6 ok that's fine but then proceeded to tell me you have a 8 am appointment I let her know what my dispatch shows me (I have 3 more deliveries today on this load next one is at 10 50 miles away) she proceeded to say she does not do anything except household goods before 8 not even 5 minutes later a Marten truck pulls in goes straight to dock and has a refrigerated load definitely need people to be with a better attitude when dealing with the trucks making your deliveries and to top it off I am only dropping off 3 pallets could have been a 10 to 15 minute unload but let's just put all the rest of deliveries at risk to your other stores

I have been shopping for items and receiving delivery services mostly online. But every time I place an order, this place sends me an item that I didn't even order and asks me to bring it back to the store directly. Even the delivery guy didn't show up after receiving my call to retrieve the wrong item without even inspecting the item he delivered. Also, for me asking for a refund of the damaged item in their delivery process, ypsilant manager Jacob said it was non-refundable (it was only 15 days pass.I didn't open. My Inspector pointed out that damaged items must be returned to the store.)
To Jacob, I explained what happened here due to the damaged item, but he didn't care.
Jacob offered to exchange it with a new item, but the delivery guy in question reappeared and disappeared with the purchase receipt and the damaged item. I called Jacob again and asked him what happened to my receipt and the item. He said he didn't remember talking to me and said that the refund was made for the item. ??? My accounting and I searched all the computers for the refund details, but it hasn't been refunded yet. It looks like they are way short of customer service and work processing capability. I will never use this place again.

For truck drivers the best restraunt depot I have delivered too. The only one I've seen that actually put a thought into the docks. Nice people very fast at unloading. Lots of room to back into the dock. I also parked on the street since it deadends at this store nobody bothered me. Great experience overall.

I added photo that I took few months ago and this is way over due.
The reason for the review is that these two gentlemen in the photo works for restaurant depot. They don’t have to help us load the truck but those two always go out of their way to help. And they both are managers. I am there few times a week and it is always pleasure to see them around.

I recently started coming to this location after hearing how much nicer it was than dearborn. The store is clean, there is hardly ever any customers shopping or a wait to cash out. Now I understand why buyers would rather wait at dearborn than come to this location.
Recently I had a bad experience with customers cutting in front of me and a very slow training cashier. It took me over 20 minutes to cash out and I was already running late. Yes I was frustrated and I asked the lady (manager?) standing there if she could help her because I needed to get out of the store. I apologize to the cashier as I was paying and explained I wasn't frustrated with her. The situation was handled right then and there.
Today I go to do my normal weekly shopping per usual. When I went to check out there was a note on my account to speak to Jacob. (I read that on the screen, they tried to play it off) A minute later a lady walks over and proceeded to tell me I was very rude the last time I came in to their training employee and that behavior won't be tolerated. (In front of all the customers and employees, didn't bother to pull me off to the side to have a conversation.) Rude is not a word people would use to describe me, while I'm out representing my business, with my son next to me.
Don't worry, I will take my rude self to another location. I will also be informing all the other business owners I know.
Funny, I wondered where the few good employees you had went. Now everything makes sense.

While not big as the Dearborn location, this place does have all the essential items that you'll need for your restaurant operations or things to buy for your home. It's also nice that they opened this location as it's closer to me than Dearborn or Troy.While they carry some Asian items, wish they have a full section dedicated to Asian products. Mainly, I come to buy food containers or kitchen items that needs to be replaced. Depending on when you go, check out is either super fast or expect to wait in line.

THE WORSE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE AND WILL BE YOURS TO AT RESTAURANT DEPOT IN YPSILANTI: as soon as I walked in on Saturday approximately 12:32 I entered Restaurant Depot in Ypsilanti, Michigan along my beloved granddaughter. I asked the person at the entrance counter where the Tuna fish was? He couldn’t locate it but he was nice about it. I brought a cart from outside which are quite heavy. I finally found the tuna and rice and I couldn’t lift the heavy bags. To my surprise at least five employees were HANGING OUT by the registers and I rudely interrupted their chat session and on the phone standing around and getting paid and neither knew lentils were nor were willing to help, especially the extremely rude woman the red haired with short haircut who called me a “retard” for not being able to see through the thick bags and I told her right back at you then she told her coworkers that I said it?! I had to park my heavy cart and all of the sudden she is telling me I can’t park my cart there. Her idea of working didn’t work for me and when I said I had a wrist surgery and cannot push this heavy cart around she started laughing at me and ganged up against me. Definitely NOT A FRIENDLY BUNCH and BUNCH OF HATERS?????????????? well if you want to get paid for not working and get paid please apply the bad part is you have to work with MONSTERS

I was a first time shopper at restaurant depot, but I came prepared with a list of things I needed. ABM Ann helped me with every question I had and helped me find my list, plus some! She was very friendly and very informative. I will definitely be back to this location because of her. Thank you again Ann!
