This store has really gone down since covid. It may be a lack of workers or something else. Some of the items in stock are getting better but the lack of checkout lines is ridiculous. Most lines were closed and maybe 2 were open which included the self checkout. The plus side is that the store is clean and it is close to my home.

I went to buy some fish for dinner, there was a kid working in the meat counter. I told him I wanted a lb of salmon they had for 9.99 vs others that were 12.99/lb. He puts on his gloves, and hat, and gets a bag for the fish, he takes out a whole side of fish and starts to weight it I told him I just want about a pound, he says he can't do it, he has not been trained on cutting a piece of fish yet. I said find someone who can. A few minutes later he comes back with the manager who again tells me he can't cut the fish, he's has not be trained yet. What good is a kid who is working behind the meat counter without supervision who can not cut a simple piece of fish. Customer service is terrible in this store, the manager could have offered a piece that was more expensive for the better price that was pre cut, but did not. I left without buying a thing. Wasting gas, time and energy.

2 years ago I took my mother in law to her to get a flu shot, being 67 with copd she was very fragile. She wasn't having a good day that day and was very cranky the Asian lady with long hair (current manager of the pharmacy) was being very argumentive and rude to an already cranky elderly women she then jabbed my mother with the needle and wiggled it around which cause my mom even more pain. I watched this happened and was kind of stunned about what I was seeing take place. So I calmed my mother in law down and took her home. Today on 06/05/2022 I went to the drive through to get my wife's meds and was asked for I'd which was weird because I knew everyone in there so I went in to see what was going on and Manager hatefully said you always have to show your id on controlled substances (except for the passed 12 months the have not asked for it) which I would should have just gave them but after her being so hateful I called her out on what she did to my mom that day (it just leaked out after being bottle up for so long) at that point she banned me and my wife from getting scripts there. I have lost all heart for this place she is mean and has never had a kind word to say. I don't think I should have been banned for calling her out or not liking her I did not yell at her I just told her how I felt about her but to ban me and my wife is excessive I'm on heart med and my wife is blind so I have to get her scripts. I like everyone there except this manager. And to have to burden me to relocate all my meds and my wife's is excessive.

I went to the Michigan Ave store a year or so after my last visit in 2020. The bagger was wearing her mask *under* her nose. There probably isn't an employee who has closer contact with customers than the bagger. To quote Dr. Daniel Griffin, "If your nose isn't covered, you're not actually wearing a mask." This shows a certain level of dangerous neglect on the part of the management. I find the situation at the Whittaker store much more reassuring.
