Update:
The front desk called back this morning after seeing this review, and informed me the VW was done. There is no voicemail of a Friday call at my history log (missed call though) and no email from them as requested on showing they did. I gave confirmation of repair to the intake manifold within a few days but been weeks of delay in between the whole process.
This really comes down to customer care which is overall more valuable to this overall experience. A promotional ballcap does not bring customer service ... good attitude, respectfulness and good communication to your customer truly does.
We are picking up the vehicle at some point this week, hopeful the leaks are not there anymore and we can move on from this situation with a reliable vehicle again. I do appreciate the mechanical experts at this business. There was just a big gap in communication. Review adjusted to 2 of 5 stars.
Prior Review below...
We were in need of a remanufactured engine for our 2011 VW Passet. The head gasket went on the original engine in March. Had towed in first week of April and rebuild was done in about a week. We paid, got warranty to cover engine and told it was for 3 years and unlimited mileage.
Have had an oil leak ever since though. Initial two trips were replacement parts, weeks of waiting, but still leaked after. Have had back many times and then to a professional up north because Austin-Jordan stated the transmission oil was leaking. After review by the other mechanic we found it in fact was an oil leak. Drove back for them to repair.
I called 2 weeks ago asking what the leak was and told part wasn't installed in rebuild, and we have to pay for it and the labor. Gave them the okay even though it seems it should be covered under the warranty agreement. We have been waiting now over 6 weeks with our latest return here and VW still in the shop with no callback on a simple part.
We have added 1,200 or so miles on the rebuild and operated the vehicle for little time since April. That mileage on the VW by the way comes solely from driving the vehicle from home to this shop. It is a good vehicle and should not take so long to repair. Was told they can fix the leak but still waiting ... what is the hold up and what does it take to care for your customer. Awaiting response ... and assurance the vehicle is under safe operation.

I would definitely stay as far away from this place as possible. Took our 09 Tahoe in to their shop to get an engine rebuilt, the job that was quoted 2 weeks turned into hell with them, and took close to 2 months to be “done” as they claimed. Ended up damaging the transmission, during the rebuild, even though they claimed to have driven the truck into their shop to get the work started. Then the truck had to go to the dealership to be reprogrammed for the new transmission, and the dealership advised that the brake were shot, I told them that I would do the brake pads once I had the truck home and that was it… turns out the power steering system was damaged (which triggered the abs to not work, which caused the brakes to “be shot”), but “Austin Jordan is just a machine shop, we do not do any power steering or abs work”, yet the codes that the truck currently has were not present when we turned down the repair at the dealership upon first engine issue, and they were present AFTER austin Jordan broke the input shaft on the transmission, and took it in to reprogram the swapped transmission. Great job… won’t own up to the matter even with the proof in their faces. Sent them both the initial diagnostic from the dealership where it shows no codes/issues with the power steering, nor the brakes, and sent them the current diagnostic with the issues after they worked on it. Wouldn’t recommend!!! Attached images from dealership quote prior to bringing truck to Austin Jordan, and after…

I removed the engine and they performed the rebuild, and I just recently reinstalled it. It runs great! They also rebuilt it in under a week, which was shocking as other shops mentioned being 6+ months out to perform a rebuild. Great customer service as well!

I highly recommend these guys. Great guys! They rebuilt our engine and includes a follow-up. The follow-up showed a catalytic concerter issue that they didn't think was right. They went above and beyond to determine it was an O2 sensor, which they replaced. The whole experience was stress free and reasonable. Happy customer!!

They have stuck to their word and taken care of my engine rebuild, though they do lack in customer communication. I've had to bring a van back in a few times now after they rebuilt it, but they have covered all the charges past the large initial investmen. Great place if you don't mind calling them to see what's going o.
