Chaz and Ace were awesome to work with. Flexible around my schedule and needs, took great care with everything when loading / unloading (especially electronics / specialized furniture). I routinely recommend Royal Movers to all my friends / family!

I would definitely recommend this moving company to family and friends. Super careful and very professional. Wrapped everything individually and treated items and walls like their own. Great strong guys who were able yo take the heaviest of furniture pieces up lots of stairs.

I'm sure this review comes as no surprise to Chaz, the owner. A local family member who knew Chaz was the one who decided to give our moving job to Royal Movers (had I read the reviews before the contract was signed, I would have preferred we gave our business elsewhere). That family member would not be on site nor point of contact the day of the move because she was working. Another curveball thrown by us was after we had finished packing the night before the day of our move, we realized since we were downsizing from a two bedroom to a one bedroom, it would be better to utilize a storage unit temporarily. My cousin asked me not to try contacting the movers about the change of adding additional drop-off locations as it was late on a Sunday night and it was an hourly job so adding destinations shouldn't be an issue in her opinion but she would give him a heads up in the morning. Chaz told me when we met the next day, he is available to be contacted 24/7. I became the point of contact on the day of the move as my mother is 74 years old and a slow walker and didn't get to the phone fast enough when he tried calling the first time. I theorize it was all our last minute changes that put him in a bad mood. For all the years in business, I was surprised at his inability of rolling with the flow and lack of expertise. If you have a simple, pick up ideally packed boxes and smaller lighter furniture from Point A with a short walk and dedicated service elevator and deposit them randomly at Point B also with a short walk and dedicated service elevator then this might be the right company to choose because Chaz and his co-worker Ace definitely worked hard. But according to Chaz, he hadn't been to this senior apartment building pickup location in 10 years and verbally shared his aggravation to learn there would be so much walking to the truck and waiting for the shared elevator. I believe he thought me rude by responding that is where the property manager told me he could park, what is the alternative he suggests to improve that situation, and also I'm the one it's going to cost more to move as it was an hourly rate job. The contract apart from having addresses, does not have detailed description of the job so may be add that so the movers know upfront the size of the move and amenities at the locations. Despite skipping their lunch break, this job took almost 8 hours to move a 2 bedroom from one senior living apartment complex to another (10 minute drive) plus a 20-minute stop at a storage unit (10 minute drive) and 10-minute stop at a personal residence to deliver a couch (less than 10 minute drive). Make sure you discuss how you'll be billed for less than hour increments. They charge a service fee for paying by credit card and don't accept personal checks and wouldn't accept a cashiers checks (though invoice states otherwise). They will disconnect electronic equipment but will not re-connect it so I recommend having that all packed up yourself and transporting it yourself so it's organized in a way for you to know how to reconnect. I did not communicate, I would be reconnecting the equipment first thing at the destination location but I assumed with so many years of moving experience Chaz would know I'd have to since I couldn't move the 70" television and the wood cabinet it sits on by myself once everything was reconnected. Another tip he shared upon arrival for making his part of the job easier, was to have all the items going to each location in one room. I hired movers to do the heavy lifting and packing of the truck. There simply wasn't enough room in one room to stage all of it. Instead, I pre-made areas in each room for each location and had marked each box/item with which location it was going to. I stayed on site, while they were loading and unloading in case they had questions. While he found me to be rude, I found him to be very derogatory toward me as a woman and I felt bullied by him. Had I read the reviews after the contract was signed, I would have

This is not a fake review it's very much real!! This guy was the rudest disrespectful worker I've dealt with. I set up a move for sat morning paid my $100 deposit they get to my daD's apartment look in his window and said he has bedbugs and they can't move him, What?? He told he doesn't and they said he did he doesn't he just had an inspection in his apartment just for making sure everything was up to par. So when I called to speak to someone he was rude and got loud and said was I calling him a liar I said no but he doesn't have any bugs he then said I was a nasty bitch was filthy. I just got off work and to be spoken to this way early this morning is horrible and the jerk hung up on me. I will never use or recommend this company. I want my $100 dep back!

Not sure of moving capabilities but customer service on the phone is very poor. So poor that I decided to opt for another company. Plus he talked bad about other moving companies because they offered better pricing than Royal movers. Disrespectful and rude. I feel he has hang ups talking to women. He talked down to me like I was stupid. I don't recommend this business. Courtesy goes along way. Poor customer service and lack of social skills.

We had to move last minute on a Holiday weekend and they made the process so effortless. Extremely polite movers who take pride in their work. They are the definition of moving professionals. Highly recommend!

Royal Movers, moved my grandparents into their new home, they did a wonderful job! They were kind, easy to work with, and took special care of some very antique and heavy pieces. We are so thankful for the quick and careful service. Special shout out to Justin, Ace, and Chaz for all their hard work!

So fast and efficient. They moved a whole bedroom set from one house to another within 45min. Everything was wrapped nicely so there was no damage to any furniture piece. Very professional, friendly, and affordable. This is my second time hiring them to move furniture and I’d call them again if I needed anything else moved!

We were very happy with the move for my elderly parents. Everyone from the owner who answered the phone and booked the move to the movers themselves were wonderful to work with.Everyone was very professional, throughout, efficient and friendly. Thanks to all for making this experience stress free.

The crew spent the whole day packing and moving. They moved the akward trend mill and workout bike from the basement that none of us thought was going to go through the door. They did it and the over size bed that barely made it in the house. Definitely skilled movers! Steve & Ace are great to work with!

I called Royal Movers a week back to get a quote for a small move and spoke with Chaz (who at the time was very friendly.) Was told $145 an hour - 3 hour minimum and a one time $145 service fee. Great. He said he had the whole month of April open, so whenever we needed to move, let him know.So over the course of the week, I called around to a few other places just to get price quotes but decided to call Royal Movers to book with them since they're local. I spoke with Chaz again and this time he quoted me $155 an hour (which was supposedly with some kind of a "discount") with a 3 hour minimum and a one time $155 service fee. I wasn't sure why the price change, but it wasn't too far off, so I wasn't going to complain and decided to book.He said they would need a $100 deposit. Again, no big deal - I had my debit card in hand and ready to reserve. I told him the date of the move BUT there was a very small chance it could change by a day. That's when he informed me that if we had to change the date (even by a day,) we would lose our $100 deposit. Again - I totally understood as it could possibly cause them to lose out on money. So I told him that instead of booking at THAT moment, I would call him back once I had received 100% confirmation from the apartment complex (probably in a matter of hours.) That way I wouldn't be out $100 for changing the date and Royal Movers would have the exact date. No big deal. That's when Chaz's attitude and tone completely shifted. He went from being very friendly to having an rude/mean tone and being pushy. Telling me that dates are filling up quick (even though a week prior April was wide open) and that NO ONE (again, in a very rude tone) could beat his price - that NO ONE was moving anyone for under $1,000 (mind you, he has no idea of our budget.)He then ranted about how he can't just book a date only to have me change it and then miss out on another potential job - they would be losing money. Which again - I get it - I wasn't even arguing with the man. That's why I said I would call back with the exact date.He kept trying to pressure me to book - repeatedly mentioning that they were "booking quickly" and I wasn't going to find anyone who could beat their price. With the tone he was using and the words he was saying - it was a HUGE red flag. In that moment I decided I would NOT be giving them my business. So why did I give them two stars? Well because I didn't actually use their services - this is just my review based off of Chaz's customer service skills (or lack thereof). If he had maintained a friendly attitude (like he had initially) and just let me know that he would be happy for me to call back in a few hours with the exact date - we would probably be using them right now. But because of the sudden attitude and pushiness, we went elsewhere (which we ended up getting for $145 and hour / 3 hour minimum.)Sorry Royal Movers. Please work on your customer service skills. It can make or break a business.
