“Wonderful bible believing church. That preaches the truth according to the bible. This church has many wonderful community outreach programs, like VBS In July, a soup kitchen, trunk or treating in the fall and many other great things that a community needs. not to mention the preachings and teachings from God's word.”

“The Canons of the ICKSP clearly take their duty of shepherding Christ's flock seriously! Reverent liturgies, beautiful historic church, and a perpetual novena to St. Joseph every Wednesday after Mass. One of the best places in Detroit to encounter our King and the man who loved Him the most.Ite ad Joseph!”

“Amazing old church located in southwest Detroit (Est. 1701). The inside is breathtakingly beautiful. What a treasure for the city of Detroit. Unfortunately, they don't allow walk-ins. To see it you either need to attend mass or be part of a pre-approved tour. If you're fortunate enough to see the inside prepare to be amazed.”

“This church can be an example for many churches. There is adequate seating space, great parking and large restrooms. It also has head-start classes weekdays. The unisex sign on the restroom door is only utilized for the toddlers during school hours. Male and female restroom accommodations are utilized during any church services. The choirs are amazing and the true word of God is being taught each time the church doors open. There are brilliant and amazing young men “Young Men In Black” to assist with parking, handicapped, elderly and women with children. The ushers and nurses guild is always on point ready to assist in anyway. They are accommodating to Covid guidelines and restrictions. Your soul will be fed in this place. You will learn something before you leave.”

“You can tell from the outside that Old St. Mary's is a special place. But when you see it from the inside you realize how incredible it is. Even if you're not there to attend mass, it's worth your time to walk through just to appreciate the beauty of it.”

“I am not Catholic, I visited just to see the building and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the rosery chapel. Both are positively majestic works of architecture. It is one of the most worthy builds I can think of to be restored - everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy its astounding beauty.”

“I am a former member of Second Baptist. I was Baptized br Rev Banks. Attended Sunday school, Jr. Church and big church weekly. That was my home. I LOVED Second Baptist. Many are unaware of the powerful political affliations associated with second Baptist. Not only was I brought up & Baptized there. I met my husband there, was married there, worked at the daycare and have the fondest memories. My Godmother was Ms. Ora Manfield Fowler. My favorite place was the ladies lounge on the 2nd floor.”

“Nice play area! It's free, which is amazing. Food was yummy and extremely affordable. Lots of parking. They closed early with only a 30-minute heads up, which is why I took one star off. We do plan to go back, though.”
