This is the second time I have used Tom's Family Auto Care. The first time, roughly a year ago, they solved my problem over the phone, saving me $$$. I usually work on my own cars, but certain things need to be done by those smarter than myself. So, when a perpetual AC issue plagued my daughter's car, I decided to let Tom's solve the dilemma. And when all was said and done, my anticipated $600+ problem, was a mere $92 - The AC was "over charged". Yep, feel like dummy, but now smarter, and with a bunch of $hundreds still in the bank.

I brought my 66 Plymouth Fury to Tom’s for a vibration. Tom and team were able to diagnose and quickly repair. Car drives like a dream afterwards!!
Tom’s is an honest and professional shop with very reasonable pricing. They treat your vehicles like their own and won’t sell you something that isn’t needed. I won’t go anywhere else!

Great service, reasonable price for repairs. I am always nervous bringing my car to a new Auto Repair shop, and the kindness I experienced from Tom and his staff was unmatched. They can be a bit hard to get on the phone, not a problem because they seem super busy- and I can see why. During my time in the waiting room, I saw Tom personally interact professionally, kindly, and patiently with every customer he encountered. Many knew him by name and it was clear had been coming to him with their cars for years. Grateful to have found this place, probably won't take my care anywhere else!

Got my car worked on never wanted to fix the mess the did. Never called before doing the work to confirm on the cost. Definitely do not take your car there!! If I could give 0 stars I would!!

Took my son's car in for a wheel alignment. He's been hearing a humming while driving for a while and thought it was the front drivers bearing based on some troubleshooting but after replacing that bearing didn't get better. Thought maybe it was because the alignment was off since he was chewing up tires. Took it up to Tom's Family Auto Care for the alignment and asked if they could tell what was wrong. They quickly called me back and said it was the passenger bearing and confirmed it was loose...needed to be replaced and they will do the alignment after so I don't waste any money now. I am going to replace it myself to save some money...but I was very appreciative they were able to confirm the problem...let me fix it...then they will align when the car is safe. They have ALWAYS treated me with respect and ALWAYS given good advice. I would definitely recommend my friends and family to Tom's Family Auto Care based on my experiences with them over multiple years.

Updated! 11-18-16 driving to work and guess what my car overheated again on my 2001 Lincoln, and this is after I paid about $1000 to toms auto to fix it. This is now the third time I've had to get it towed! So after replacing numerous parts and claiming they fixed my car, it's still having issues they claimed to have fixed. Never take your car here.
This place is a scam, I've taken my car here at least 5-6 times. For small repairs or, a tune up they did a fine job. For moderate repairs they struggled. I had to have my car towed twice because of overheating issues. First they claimed it was my thermostat, and then they replaced the entire housing claming they needed too in order to solve the problem. Overcharged me by hundreds! When the parts cost around $50 bucks. Then i had to get my car towed again, because of overheating issues.
This time they replaced the recovery tank, and overcharged me again. They overcharged me for shocks, and struts. Claimed they did an alignment, and after they did the alignment, whenever I am driving on the highway my steering wheel shakes badly. Claimed they replaced an air filter I paid them for, and not even a a month later, as I'm getting my oil changed the guy changing it at the local oil shop showed it to me, and it definitely was never changed. Bottom line, they are inexperienced, lying, thieving, charlatans.

Not only is it important to support your local family owned businesses, they usually offer the lowest prices AND the best service. That's why I recommend Tom's Family Auto Care. Not only will you find reasonable prices and excellent mechanics, your situation will be diagnosed properly by an HONEST owner (Tom) and his HONEST son (Justin). Your options will be explained to you in a way that is easy to comprehend, with absolutely NO HIGH PRESSURE TACTICS to inflate your bill. I've had a few problems in the recent past, and every time they've worked on my car I left there feeling good about the experience. Knowing my car was fixed properly at a reasonable price is a fantastic feeling, but the icing on the cake is the level of customer service you'll receive at Tom's Family Auto Care, you'll feel like 'family'... just talk to any customer you see in the waiting room, they'll tell you.

Sometimes you just get good vibes from a business, staff and owners. Tom's is one of those places. I can just tell this is a place you can trust. Very pleasant, professional, and accommodating. Don't hesitate to go here first if you need help with your vehicle, you'll never go anywhere else again.
