If I could leave a zero star, that would be more appropriate. Massively overcharged, less than professional relationships with their contractors that communicate with home owners. Dishonest when it comes to quoting, had to negotiate with our GC because their management and ownership there is not on the same page. Work quality was great! Company structure is a disaster.

Jan 4,2022To the buyer I say beware,if you intend to employ Huron Carpet and Flooring at 30467 Beck Road,Wixom,Michigan. After growing tired and weary with pointing out the shabby workmanship of the Crew of this project and the lack of leadership exhibited by Nate the Supervisor of this project who employed these workers, has left me with hardwood floors laid with splinters that could cause future injury and other bad pieces laid without being fully inspected. Along with a hardwood floor covering and molding not properly connected to wall and floor, and containing gaps that can be seen through to the next level of flooring. I was told in order to correct his problem a section of the hardwood floor would have to be torn out exposing me to additional dust particles,which would affect my breathing. In addition to a two-man crew who showed no respect for my health nor my home when they stored a large power saw in the closet of one of my bed- rooms without my knowledge or permission and threw debris out onto the ground covering of my front yard,which they left until told to clean up. When I approached one of the crew members about leaving that saw in my closet and having heart and lung problems. He said,"That saw dust is not going to bother you". I found him and his comments to be discourteous and ignorant.When I called on Nate,the Supervisor to intervene,he accused me of trying to make him the "Bad Guy". When I pointed out flaws in the work,Nate said,""There was no use in my rehashing comments nobody was wrong". I have never heard of such a preposterous response. Nate refuse to be held accountable. I decided I wanted this project over and done with. ...so, I called Nate to tell him I would be in to pay off the balance due. However, while dusting my audio visual storage cabinet (1/3/23) I discovered my disc player was missing. When I reported the theft of this piece of equipment to Nate, his first response was,"It was dated equipment". Which indicated he was aware of it,and the fact that it was missing was acceptable to him because he viewed it as dated equipment. It was then that I indicated I would be making a police report. Nate then said,"He would be asking the men who laid the floor if they had seen it". But never mentions when I go in to pay off the account.Nate also refuse to sign the receipt after I paid off the account. Where he said,"He had never heard of signing a receipt". Even though there is a place for his signature on the receipt he gave to me. Again buyer beware,this is a dishonest business operation.Sue M.

I don't normally write reviews, but the service that I received far surpassed my expectation. Colleen was wonderful. Her knowledge, expertise and design skills, made the whole process very enjoyable. She seemed to know what we were looking for, before we had a chance to tell her. The installation crew went above and beyond. They were pleasant and very hard working. They took a three day job and completed it in two. I have had compliments from the painters as to what a good job they did in putting in the carpet and the hard flooring and I'm sure they have seen a lot throughout their work experience. I will be recommending them to others as well as they will be the ones I will call when I have another need.

What a great experience working with Colleen. I called the store prior to visiting the Showroom, and described the type of carpet we were looking for. Colleen had pulled samples and had them ready when we arrived, She allowed us to take them to see them in the natural light of our home. We picked out our carpet, our home was measured and the carpet was installed effortlessly. We would highly recommend Huron Carpet and Colleen, who provided outstanding customer service, for all your carpet needs.

Colleen at Huron Flooring was so helpful and knowledgeable, returning calls promptly and even staying late to get my project on track. They also have so many wonderful choices for flooring, with samples that you can take home! Unfortunately, I did not have the same experience with flooring when I started my project with Lowe's. At Lowe's, flooring area staff were unsure how to answer my questions and gave a time estimate for installation that ended up being 3 weeks off! The installation company arranged through Lowe's was very unhelpful. Huron Flooring and Carpet was the opposite, going out of their way to answer all my questions and keep to a tight timeline. I am so thankful I found them! Thanks Colleen.

I purchased Dura Ceramic tile in August from Huron Carpet and am extremely pleased with it. The sales lady/interior designer Colleen, was so easy to work with and so helpful in finding me the tile that would work best for my home. I would definitely purchase from Huron Carpet again without any hesitation.

Very good price on a carpet that looked and felt very good for one with a lowish face weight. Liked the installer until I discovered he'd broken a couple of closet doors. When I asked him about this he said they were fine when he left the house, which isn't possible. Only $145 for me to fix them since I found replacements at Restore (otherwise much more). Very disappointed that Huron's owner denied responsibility. If they cannot accept responsibility for such a small amount of damage--5% of the job cost--then they certainly cannot be trusted to stand by their work when a larger amount is at stake.

We hired these guys to install new carpet in the basement of our new home. Price is competitive but you will get what you pay for here. There was a delay at the production facility and then a delay with the shipping. Finally installed the basement carpet looked great but they left our stairs so that you could see the wood between the seams of the carpet. Our sales rep Todd was accommodating but ultimately not very helpful in solving the problem as the same installation crew was sent back to the house a couple weeks later where I had to personally supervise all the seams. Out of spite or sloppiness they dragged their equipment roughly against the wall and damaged it in multiple places so we then had to go through the process of negotiating cost to repair. So what should have been a simple carpet install turned into much more. Buyer beware here.
