So if that’s the reason you’re thinking about joining this bank, do yourself a favor and don’t.*update: Jessica Sionni, office of the chairman, remedied the situation when i went to close my account due to the above circumstances and she was extremely polite and helpful, unlike the first representative I spoke with. I did eventually end up receiving my $300.adjusting my rating from 1 to 4 stars, as the original customer service representative experience, time wasted, stress and frustration are still taken into account - would be narrow minded to base a company off of one employee though, and I respect upper management following through without me ever having to reach out again.Jessica is the only reason i’m still a member of this bank, though, and will now remain a *happy* and loyal customer. Valuable employee - so valuable I went out of my way to change this rating to reflect how much she improved my overall experience with this bank and if I was solely rating her it would be five stars (I don’t typically write reviews unless it’s amazing or terrible and although this experience/review started off terrible, if it weren’t for Jessica, it would’ve stayed that way and I am very appreciative)If you’re doing a promotion though, I highly suggest you call Citizen’s and ask every month if you’ve done what you’ve needed to receive that, and *record the conversation* because i was misinformed that I had completed what was needed when I called one month in to the promotion, when that was not the case. It was a $500 direct deposit, not a $500 deposit. Had i been properly informed on the phone call, I could’ve easily had a $500 direct deposit completed in the time given, and none of this would’ve happened, but thankfully they honored it due to this miscommunication as it was my only reason for choosing this bank.In addition, i’ve had no issues with the bank itself otherwise besides the occasional ATM being down.”

“I visited the CUO in Ferndale on Friday, for a new Debit Card. The system was down, so they asked if I could come back on Saturday and use the Drive thru? I told them that I would come back. When I returned the next day, my Debit card was waiting for me, with no problem. All I had to do was activate the card. Thanks CUO!”

“Greatest little credit union out there. They definitely stand out where most dont. The majority of the staff at this branch are bilingual(Spanish) and they really do have an eye out for YOUR best interest. If you stop by you must go directly to the legend himself, Raymon Sanchez with his 10/10 service. He definitely went way above and beyond. Couldn't be happier with the service and overall experience with this credit union. They definitely have that small town home feel. They definitely dont see you like just another number on a sheet. They were able to work with my situation and didn't quit when most would have. I simply can't recommend them enough. Thanks guys!!”

“I’ve been a member since 1990 at the Wyandotte location . The tellers would remember who I was back then. It was a real personal service that taught me as a kid how to save and earn interest on my money. Then they merged with Downriver and I feel like they were rotating the tellers from all the different locations. All the personal relations were gone. The kid savings programs were removed. The small town credit seems like just a big business bank now. I now do most of my transactions online to avoid the long wait times that the drive thru always causes. I’ve been to all the locations and at least they always keep them really clean and updated.”
