Dr. Ramsey and his team did a wonderful job getting my cat Princess's feline herpes virus FHV cleared up. Got her on the right regimen and dosages. I made sure I followed all the medication instructions, and she was cleared up within 2 weeks. I'm super happy my baby didn't lose her eyesight. The staff was all very nice and seemed to genuinely care about Princess Purrtima's wellbeing. (In the pictures, the cloudy eye is before on Jan 30th, 2024, and the one where her eyes are clear was taken on the day of the appt on Feb 13th in the office. )

Outstanding staff and wonderful doctor. Best decision I've ever made for my dog Jerry. It's so fascinating to watch a blind dog be given the gift of sight again. It's very rewarding. It's a shame not everyone can afford it but I highly recommend it if you can.

Drove all the way from Toronto to this clinic. So worth the drive, grateful that there are still pure animal lovers that exist. the doctors and the staff are so sweet, knowledgeable and caring. very honest and good people. My forever ophthalmology clinic from now on.

When I reached out to them for a new appointment request, they had the courtesy to very politely inform me that they were booked out for the next 2.5 months and gave me a list of other potential providers I could go to. This tells me that they really do care about the community they serve.

My dog had an eye injury that turned colors and worried me greatly. My regular vet referred me to Dr. Ramsey's practice and sent over my dog's history. When I went to make an appointment, the voicemail said the clinic was booking several months out for new patients which was discouraging and made me more anxious. Thankfully, I got a call back the next day and we were booked very quickly. The Animal Ophthalmology Center looks like a top-notch specialist office, for sure! The clinic is gorgeous with beautiful landscaping. The lobby has a real fireplace. Patient rooms are bigger than any other vet hospital I've been in before. Their website has lots of helpful information including pet friendly hotels for those who need to travel a long distance to see the doctor. There are signs posted in the rooms which explain various regulations regarding prescriptions and payments. I was impressed with the speed and professionalism of the entire staff. The receptionist was able to give me a breakdown of pricing for the basic tests that would be performed which was a little over $350. The licensed veterinary technician asked a few questions, did an eye stain, and checked the eye pressure. The doc took a look the bad eye and immediately reassured me that my dog was healing well and would be okay with no loss of vision. The paperwork I was given was very detailed with explaining the diagnosis and simplifying the complex medical terminology. Even though the initial cost of the visit is high, I definitely recommend Dr. Ramsey for animal eye problems rather than shelling out money for a regular veterinarian to perhaps run unnecessary tests. My senior dog was in-and-out in 30 minutes with a great diagnosis and prescription eye drops to help speed up the recovery.

I would recommend this facility hands down any day. When I moved to this state, I was searching for the best veterinary ophthalmologist for my dog and I found them here. They set up a plan to remove the cysts from my dog’s eyes, got him in, out, and back to his old self quickly. The staff is friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The facility is clean, and inviting. Your pet couldn’t be in better hands. The team at Animal Ophthalmology Center truly care about and want what’s best for their patients.

Nice staff but I wouldn't use them again. Took my dog there for a consult/exam due to some vision concerns I had. He was in the building for 10-15 minutes (curbside service) and returned to me saying there was no significant findings.Well, I'm glad I got a 2nd opinion and went to the MSU opthalmology department- he not only received a diagnosis but medication and a plan moving forward. Maybe I just expected more, but I would recommend MSU any day.

Wow, where do I begin! My dog Bunny, who's 10 years, had a cataract. Dr. Ramsey and his staff are so friendly and caring. They treated my dog like a princess! She has perfect vision now because of Dr. Ramsey! Him and his staff make you feel so welcome and really take the time to mKe you feel relaxed and comforted with the surgery, from beginning to the follow up care. They are such a great team of amazing people. I highly recommend!

Everyone here is very nice and very knowledgable. Front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The practice seems to run on schedule, which is wonderful. The prices are fair.

They took great care of my baby. Sadly one eye was unsalvageable but they were able to save the other with lens removal. She can see again!
