My adult son has a physical disability so our transportation depends on a conversion van. It’s important to make sure it’s always safe and in good condition. We recently had a brake line break. Detroit garage here in Hamburg runs a shop not too far. They had the van done within a few hours and not only that, the customer service was excellent as well. I would definitely recommend. Thank you Mitch !!

Ok so I went there and had a screw in my tire. They then proceeded to tell me that my tires were 7 years old and then told me anything over 6 years old was illegal to patch. I then asked if they sold used tires and the gentlemen then told me it was illegal in the state of Michigan to sell used tires. Then proceeded to tell me that law states I had to buy 4 brand new over priced tires in order for me to have a legal car!!!! Needless to say I drove to Belle tire and they laughed so hard at these said "laws" that they went ahead inspected my brakes, patched my tire, and told me never to listen to such B's and they were just trying to make sales. I also quoted a price for an alternator there a few months back and they told it would close to 1100.00!!!! Which I also found out it's about half that price. Completely insane and y'all should be ashamed of yourself trying to advantage of ppl like that!!!!
As promised to the representative I did receive a call and he did an overview of the review. He claims that some employees may not be following protocols for the company and their policies. However, I do not compensation or any corrections will be happening when it comes to staff and the wrong doings toward customers that may look different or may not be up to their standards. I still feel as if I was discriminated against bc I had my disabled son with me and my grand daughter. I feel they did not want us in their lobby waiting bc let me just say I looked rough after the day I had. I still stand by my word and have been told they do that to customers that are less attractive and again not up to their standards. So I really hope this problem is fixed but I highly doubt it. I was also told by a friend that they don't welfare ppl in their establishment and that is why they did that to me.

wonderful customer service, friendly and knowledgeable. I brought my truck in for an oil change and to have a leak fixed in my tire. the tire needed to be replaced due to sidewall damage and instead of just trying to sell me one to get a quick sale the recommended two so I didn’t do damage to my suspension which is correct. If i’m ever in the area for work again this is the only place I will bring my vehicle.

quoted us more than Dealer to replace a wheel bearing. When asked about it, said "oh, the dealer won't honor their quote."
Guess what: Hamburg Garage broke the wheel speed sensor while removing the bad bearing, and insisted on charging us for it.
Every other shop I've discussed this with said they always try to remove the sensor first, and if for some reason they cannot, they call the customer before proceeding to warn them about the possible additional expense. Hamburg did not call, just charged us for the sensor they broke. My guess, they totally forgot about the sensor, and/or didn't read the manual before starting. It near closing, boss had left, and the employee refused to negotiate at all. Ended up getting the owner on the line. Of course this is a franchise, so who knows what latitude boss has, but he too offered nothing. It was ugly, and two years later still it's what I remember when I drive by the shop.
I'll add, over the decades, I've used 10+ different shops between Ann Arbor and Chelsea. This is the ONLY one that has shown up as an Advertisement in my Facebook feed. I suppose the others are all busy enough with repeat business, they don't need to advertise.

My car started making noise all of a sudden while driving and was worrisome. I quickly called this place to see if they can take an appointment given Friday evening and close to end of day. They asked me come over, took a test drive, found the issue, fixed it in 15 minutes and didn’t charge anything. I don’t think you can find such customer obsession anywhere nowadays. Thank you Hamburg garage.

I've used them 3 times over the last few years for smaller jobs of mounting tires on wheels that I have purchased sperate, always been a pleasure to deal with, always done when or before they have quoted

Awesome experience! I’m always Leary trying a new place for repair work. Mitchell, Bailey and mechanic made me feel comfortable by explaining everything going on with my car. Squeezed me in to get my tires on before I left out of town. Thanks guys for being so cool and understanding! ;)

Amazing people and service!! I came in for an alignment that i was told by Belle tire wasn't possible because of my tire size…. I was very upset and confused… then i came across these guys and they took care of it for me within the hour. Will be coming here from now on. Thank you guys!!!!

I booked an appointment online Sunday night for Tuesday evening because it was the soonest I could get it in via online scheduling choices. They called me Monday morning and worked with me to get my jeep in early that day. By Tuesday all my parts had come in already, everything was fixed and it runs beautifully. They're quick, responsive and willing to work with your schedule to get the job done. My friends referred me here because they trusted the garage with their company vehicles for some time before my friend's company switched locations and I see why!
