Walgreens has went down hill over the last few years, Walgreens used to be my go-to! I switched to rite aid last year. They closed down, so now I am back at Walgreens, currently looking for another pharmacy..

I drove a half hour to pick up my 2 scripts because they called me and said if I didn’t pick them up that day they would put them back on the shelf. Got there and was informed that they didn’t have either one ready and if I waited a half hour they could get one of the two pulled. There excuse was we have a new system and it’s not very accurate. I told them I didn’t talk to a computer I talked to a person from the store. I didn’t have time to wait so I told them to notify me when they were ready. Today I called and was told that only one had been filled and the other was coming from the main pharmacy and wouldn’t be filled until Monday afternoon. I informed them that I was out of my medication and couldn’t wait that long. They said in that case they could fill it themselves. This was at 2 pm I told them that I wasn’t available right that minute and would be down later in the day probably around 6. I get there at 6:05 and the pharmacy is closed for the day. I was furious I have to drive a half hour each way and this is the second time I’ve gotten there and still don’t have my meds. I will never use the Whitehall Walgreens ever again if I ever get my meds now. Totally unprofessional and full of excuses.

This pharmacy is badly understaffed. It is nearly impossible to do business with them over the phone.

They are understaffed and it's very frustrating to deal with getting your prescriptions in a timely manner. The app is worse as sometimes it doesn't give accurate information, I canceled a prescription and they still insisted on trying to fill it every time I showed up! Apparently they could only cancel it on their computer, even though I've done it successfully before. Now when you call your local Walgreens you go to a call center. This is quite frustrating because they don't give you accurate information or usually the information you need. What was disgust over the phone, was not in place when I got to the store.
The staff is very friendly, but I feel sorry for them constantly having a long line and lots of confusion. Seems to take each customer about 5 minutes to take care of because of some issue, it's not just a pickup because it's ready and pay for it.

Called to refill my script that the pharmacy tech told me I didn’t have on file & had to be transferred to the pharmacist. Was immediately told it would be filled tomorrow unless I needed it sooner. I said, “Yes, I need it today please. I ran out yesterday.” When I went to pick it up 5-6 hours later, was told it was ‘almost’ ready and still waited a good 15 minutes.

The only Walgreens pharmacy in Muskegon County I have had problems with. They have let my prescriptions run out twice in six months; on Monday I went to check on a prescription that was supposed to be picked up last Wednesday and was told that they were waiting for my doctor's office to approve the refill. I switched pharmacies on Monday and my doctor's office just called to say Walgreens sent a request for the approval - eight days after I was supposed to pick it up and five days after my prescription ran out. This is the worst pharmacy in our little area!

Switching my prescriptions back to Walmart coming here was the worst experience I've ever had getting medication they told me it would take 15 minutes because they supposedly just received it even though it was sent a day prior it proceeded to take them over 30 minutes after which I was never even called back I went back and checked myself just to find out it had been done but nobody cared to page me after they said it was filled it took them another 5 minutes to find the prescription because they had already lost it in that short amount of time that whole experience was extremely unprofessional Walgreens needs to get there act together!

My dealings with the people here have been nothing but nice. The way the pharmacy operates however, I find is unacceptable. I have been getting my prescriptions here for years and have yet to show up to pick them up a single time where they have it ready. At first I figured I was just showing up too fast after leaving the dr office (despite typically waiting 30 minutes to an hour) but I have even waited for 2+ hrs before showing up. Every time I arrive I am told to "come back in 30 minutes". This is absolutely unacceptable when you have a sick child at home waiting for medication. This last time I was told again, "come back in 30 minutes". When I returned I was told that "we don't have that in stock". Again, my child is at home crying with an ear infection and I can't even get a courtesy phone call or have my prescription forwarded to another pharmacy so it is ready when I get there. This needs to be addressed.

They never have your medicine ready for when you need it and at order ready time on the app!
