Amazing place for families to get away from city life and work. The resort is located in a very beautiful area with scenic views to Lake Michigan. Staff are nice and friendly taking care of the resort professionally. There are many activities for adults and young children.

Don’t be deceived! We rented a room in the Annex that said it had 2 bedrooms, one bath, and a balcony. The floor plan was as such: from the exterior hall, walk into the first bedroom where there was access to the bat. But the second bedroom was beyond the bath so whomever slept in the second bedroom had to walk THROUGH the first bedroom to get to the bath. NOT well suited for two adult couples. Also, it was August and HOT. There was only one small window air conditioner in the second bedroom so if you closed your door for privacy you were closing off the people in the first bedroom and they had NO A/C. They should state this room ( and there were others like it) are NOT well suited for two adult couples! Walking through someone else’s bedroom in your pjs in the middle of the night is creepy! NO PRIVACY WHATSOEVER!
In regard to staff , we arrived at check in time and walked into the office. The person there looked up at us and never said, welcome, glad you came, or anything beyond, your key is in the bin on the front of the office. THE END. Nothing like; enjoy your stay, if you need anything please ask, or do you have any questions!! And I’ll add there was no smile or welcoming tone in how it was said. Some common courtesy’s would have been nice since we had never been there before. It was obvious we were intruding on this persons space and they didn’t appreciate the interruption.
The view was beautiful though difficult to see unless you were at the tip top of the hillside and the sunsets were lovely. The tent like pavilion was very useful for our group and so was the kitchen in the community room. The beach was non existent so those who wanted to be at the beach went to the local state park very close to the resort.

Very good place with beautiful scenery and lots of things to do in the area
Nearby activities: There are many great places to eat such as pekadills and Culver’s. There are also many places to go such as movie theatres and the beach.

The property was beautiful, the lady working the front desk was absolutely wonderful and sweet. The manager however was extremely rude. My girlfriend had slipped and fell on the stairs leading to a21 in the annex building. The stairs were painted and slippery from the rain with no grip at all and upon falling she bruised extremely bad on her hip to the point she will have to take some days off work. We let the front desk know and later received a call from the manager asking what had happened. I told her and she asked if we were going to seek medical treatment to which I replied yes. Then she informed me they will screen us for alcohol and cannabis at the doctors office (why she said this I have no idea) then she stated in the contract I signed that michillinda lodge was not liable for any accidents or injuries. I informed her I never signed any paperwork or ever heard of a contract and what she was saying about the hospital didn't make any sense. This place is beautiful and we went for a mini vacation but it ended up getting ruined for us by those sketchy stairs and the phone call after we left by that manager ( I believe her name was lea)Beautiful location, horrible hospitality skills from the manager. We won't be coming back and we will be informing people of our experience there.

The rooms are quaint and cute. We didn't spend much time in the room. I don't remember seeing TV and on the weekend a hair dryer was in the locked office. BUT THE LOCATION!!! It's amazing! The Farmer's Market in Montague was adorable. The private deck was a favorite feature!

I took my kids to this majestic place. We played tennis, basketball, volleyball, disc golf and went swimming in the pool. So many fun things to do at the lodge. Also Duck lake and Michigan Adventure are located close by. The kids and I had a great time. We did have an issue with our room but the owner came right away to make sure everything was OK. She took really good care of us and made sure we were happy. Highly recommend. We will be back :)

I love this place. I absolutely would love to come back here and stay when the weather is nicer. This is such a gorgeous property. You could actually just stay here and hangout in the pool, play tennis, basketball, badminton, there's tons of stuff to do. They have nice charcoal grills and areas set up for a fire pit and a bonfire. It rained a bunch. So we definitely need to come back and utilize those activities!

I myself have never been there, but even with that said the positive and overall exceptional quality and service that Ive been told of is all I have to offer...I hope to ask least visit there in the future.
