I've been a member at this clinic for over two years now. The office is very welcoming. The staff is very caring and helpful. Recent staffing changes have been a bit if a setback experience-wise, but the product is stellar and I know it will all work out for them. I absolutely recommend this program if you want to lose weight. It's expensive but completely worth it for the weight loss program, and the supportive and helpful care and concern you will get from the staff.

Medical Weight Loss is the best program for me. Years ago I went to them and had great results. I've had difficulty with weight, especially since my 30's. I retired this year and wanted to concentrate on getting back to my healthiest self. I considered several choices and decided to go back to Medical Weight Loss because it works for me. I met the great team at White Lake and got started at 234lbs. I had a tough first month even though I stuck to the program perfectly, l didn't lose and got really discouraged. They all talked me through that hard time and now I'm losing steadily. But my weight sticks at times, goes up then down. It can be very frustrating. That is where the team REALLY helps get you past the rough times. They are ALWAYS there for YOU to push you through and keep you going!Update as of Aug 2022I weighed in at 175 that's 59 lbs so far! Fourty pounds to go and I know they will help me get there. I'm off blood pressure medicine now, tooUpdate 11/17/2022Had total knee replacement 10/10 and I was unable to leave my house for awhile! Stayed on plan after a hard first week (unable to eat due to severe nausea) and have continued to lose! Today I weighed in at 157 only 24 to go. Not that long ago I would not have believed I would get where I am today, but HERE I AM thank you, I know I would not be here if it wasn't for your support !!!April 19, 2023I am now 147lbs - that's 87lbs LOST FOREVER! I feel amazing with so much energy! I love how I look in clothes, now, too. It's actually exciting getting dressed every morning. I thank MWL from the bottom of my heart. I could not have done this by myself! Now forward, on to maintenance.May 11, 2023Stayed on program a little longer. Today I'm 143 lbs and I am going on the maintenance program. I am nervous but I know the team has my back. I will gain confidence.

I enjoyed the program, the menu was easy to follow. I got a little discouraged at the beginning, but I needed to realize weight loss is a marathon not a sprint. I reached my goal of 50 pounds in 25 weeks. I definately make better choices now while eating. Taking the weight off dropped my A1C from 7.2 to 5.7, and I feel much more comfortable with myself. I also want to thank the staff for their support through my weight loss journey.

The women at MWLC in White Lake have never stopped encouraging me to keep going. When I stumble they help me get back on my feet. There care about me and what is going on in my life that may have an impact on my weight. They share their own life stories about their journeys to live a healthy life. They introduce new products and their benefits but don’t pressure me to buy them. I have been dieting all my life and this program is the only one that has worked for me. When followed properly, I am never hungry. You are always greeted with an empathetic smile and even if I gain a few pounds I leave with hope and a smile. Ultimately weight loss is totally up to the individual but it sure is nice to have this team walking through it by your side. Thank you, White Lake team. Your work makes a difference!

I joined MWLC in March of 2015 with the excitement of all the manager of the Lansing Mi. store had to say. I was so excited that I signed up for a lifetime membership with the following promises. 1. As per the pamphlet, I was to receive a vitamin B12 shot 2. As per the doctor, I was to see him once a month which I felt was most beneficial. 3. I would not only see weight loss but be measured for comparison to see my progress 4. I would have my urine checked 3x weekly After the first week and receipt of the money paid to the clinic, the reality was... 1. When I asked about the B12 shots I was told they do not do that anymore because it's not needed, however it is still in the brochure. 2. The end of week 7, only when I asked them how often I see the doctor did they tell me once per month. When I reminded them I only saw him during the first week, they looked to schedule me but it would be 2 weeks out. This would have been 8 weeks from my first time seeing him. 3. I was measured on the first visit, but never again after. 4. On week 4 they finally suggested and showed me how to check my urine when I come in. 5. Every visit was more about me needing to purchase more product from them, vitamins, shakes, fiber and their weight loss pills, rather than the focus of my weight loss. The final step in not returning for weigh-in visits was in week 8. It was in reference to me buying more pills at $80/bottle to last 1 month. I was told, "Well you had better find the funds as it is part of the program". I said I will not be coming back knowing I would want to continue with their protein shakes, but not the frustration. I have purchased more shakes as I ran out and was told they will be $11/box of 7 when purchasing at least 30. I thought that is what I had paid last time until this week I was told they would be $12/box unless I bought 50. I admit I had not looked at the slip last time I purchased but was going on what I had been told. This is not a story of sour grapes as I think their shakes are fantastic and I was within just a couple of pounds of my 50# goal. Their lies have overshadowed any shred of truth to get the money from you and continue to drain you financially. Customer service is very important to me, a high priority. It is time that more people become aware of MWLC.

I tried them back in 2007, but failed because they didn't know how to work with people who are overweight but still athletic. I signed up for them again a month and a half ago after putting on some weight that I had lost without them, and they promised that they'd work with me this time, making sure I had enough protein to help my muscles rebuild. As soon as I gave them my money, they completely forgot that promise and one of their staff members was incredibly rude. When I mentioned that I need more protein, the same woman that said she'd work with me BEFORE taking my money simply said, "It's not our problem." She said she'd make it her problem before I gave her over $200! That wasn't the only dishonest thing they did. I was told I would be on their stabilization program after I met my weight loss goal. I found out that wasn't the case, and that it would cost me over $300 more to be on that program. The staff is not only rude, but they are dishonest. They'll take your money and forget all the promises that they made. Their doctor on staff doesn't seem to know anything about nutrition, but she knows how to use buzz words like "balance". Don't ask her to get into the scientific explanations of what "balance" means. She'll get confused real quick! I'm pretty sure she never dealt with someone with a college degree who won't take buzz words as an explanation. Some of us demand the science behind the words, and she fails to deliver. When you've got a college background, are a former diabetic, and a very athletic person, you learn more about nutrition than what she seems capable of explaining. I felt like I was dealing more with a sales rep than someone with a medical background. They also make you spend hundreds of dollars on their food, and if you buy it online for cheaper, they will act like you just mugged them in an alley. With all of the weight loss programs you can get online for much cheaper (some are even free), it's simply not worth it to waste your money dealing with rude and dishonest people. They're incredibly expensive, and the money you'd spend dealing with mean people who just want to sell you their products simply isn't worth it. EDIT: I originally gave this review one star because of my experience above. After posting it (and emailing the company telling them why I'm not staying with their program), I got a call from someone at their corporate office saying that they would give me the rest of the program that I was promised free of charge, and that I wouldn't have to deal with anyone except the one woman in the clinic that I got along with. The second promise wasn't fulfilled, but I rolled with it on my appointments. I lost weight, but not by staying on their diet, because I was too athletic to handle their diet, which is tailored for a sedentary lifestyle. I added extra calories by consuming more protein daily, and more carbs on days when I was running. I cheated on their diet, but I did it "clean" by eating foods that contained the macro-nutrients I needed without extra calories from fat or unnecessary carbohydrates. It's for that reason that I've changed this to a two-star review. If you can afford the high cost of the program, live a sedentary lifestyle (and plan on staying that way), and can put up with some of the less-than-friendly staff, the program will work for you. However, if you're an athletic person that wants to put on more muscle while losing fat, go somewhere else. They won't know how to work with you.

I do not recommend this program. They will rip you up to the last cent!!!!! I paid $2289 at the beginning and after they got the check you do not mean anything to them. Unless you pay them more. Even though I paid for 20 weeks I stopped going at my eight week!!!! Of course they kept the money.

I recently visited the Medical Weight Loss Clinic in White Lake and was satisfied with my initial visit. The staff were attentive and kind, I felt comfortable talking with them. You will need to go through some paper work regarding you medical and medication history. If you take a lot of prescription you might not qualify for some of the programs that incorporate prescription medications. Not to worry, they have a few different programs to choose from. After seeing the pictures of all the success stories posted on the wall of the office and talking with the counselor about what the program is about I decided to join and try the program for 12 weeks. I didnt think the cost was overly expensive but it wasn't cheap. I paid 240 dollars for a 12 week program. That doesn't include the "nutrients" or snacks that the clinic sells you to incorporate into your diet. I'll give the clinic 3 stars for now. If I do what they tell me and follow the diet and see the results they guaranteed, which was 4 pounds a week, then I'll give the clinic more stars. For now it was a good start.. I hope this program works, I'd like to shed some weight by new years.
