So I've brought a few cars into White Lake Auto and thought I was being treated right buy a guy named John.. past few times he's told me my car was fine, no need for work.? Ok great, this last time I brought in my Nissan 350Z already knowing I needed a clutch do to me feeling it slipping and having taken it to a transmission shop and them telling me it was going. I thought I knew this John so I wanted him to have the job, he had me drop the car off and he kept it for a week never getting back to me, I called him finally as I told him I was in no rush and he started giving me attitude.. Said his mechanic drove it and said it was fine, acted like I was wasting his time? I said I'll come up in a few minutes and can point out the problem he said ok so I came in and he was looking at me like he wanted to fight or something? I asked him is there something wrong here? He said yes I'm starting to get a little attitude, I said really? So am I, why have you just let my car sit outside? He gives me another dirty look and says I'll go get somebody to take a ride with you very rudely, another guy met with me and we took the car out, it wasn't slipping so I asked him how long has my car been sitting before you tested it? he had no answer, it had been raining all week early spring I said must have rust on the flywheel that's why it's gripping.. He said yeah that could be, I had had enough at this point, told him I didn't want them touching it and took it back to the first mechanic and told him what had happened, he asked me if they had took off the clutch inspection plate? I said no mention of that, he said and he was just going to let you go without really knowing or properly trying to identify the issue? I said yep! He put the car on a lift for me and showed me the clutch ware said your clutch is just about gone.... I will never take or recommend anyone to these guys again after this terrible experience, armatures is what my new mechanic called them.

Wanted to leave a positive review and found to no surprise that nearly every review left for these guys is perfect. Had a shop where I grew up that was the only one I would go to and was nervous about finding a new spot after I moved out to this area. These guys have made a lifelong customer of me. Friendly, honest and go over options with you.

I could not say better things about this place, back in 2022 i was quoted by another shop for things that didn't need to be fixed. as a teen who lives on her own and pays her own bills finding places i can afford for these things is hard. I went in and was immediately greeted by john, he listened to everything i had to say addressed my concerns. After this we came up with a plan of actions as to what i need to fix now and what i need to fix soon down the road, me and my wallet walked out very happy. have not gone to a different auto shop since. mechanic even came and checked out my car when i started hearing weird noises. They always accommodate the best they can with both of our crazy schedules.If looking for a better auto repair shop for your car this is the place!

Very honest and affordable for what i needed done. Im very familiar with mechanics but dont have the time, the lift, and space to work on my vehicle in the winter so i took my van to white lake auto and they fixed my brakes, power steering leak, and solved an electrical issue. Paid much less than i was expecting which is always a plus. I’ll definitely be using them for any future repairs that i cant do.
