Service HAS to change.
The store IS great though- it has most anything you might need for just about any thing you have going on.
I go here frequently.
I’m never greeted by the greeter. Never.
First impression right?!
Seems like a standard that they NEVER have enough people assisting the self checkout- folks always waiting far too long & too often.
On the rare occasion I ask for assistance from someone on the floor-
they can’t help. They’ve not seen it or heard of it- whatever it is.

Very bad delivery service! Everything warm or melted! 2 hours late when I paid for the 2 hour window!

Understaffed, and when you do finally get to the end of check out line there's no manager on duty to resolve issues at the counter.
Consistently lacking baggers, rarely more than a handful of lines open, and lacking a sensible reason where the funds are otherwise going.
*2months later:
Only 4 lanes staffed on a Saturday afternoon.
Meijer had $21b in revenue last year and can't spend a penny on baggers for even one line.

I never have a good experience at this location. They never have baggers and if you ask for help most times the person you ask will point to where it is when the right thing to do Customer service 101 is to walk them over to the merchandise. These experiences had me end up going to other Meijer locations and get the kind of service I love to receive.

I was in the westland Meijer 2/21/25 early afternoon when i tripped on the wire basket that they put hand held baskets in, it was empty so didn't even notice it.I Fell to the floor hurting my Lt side ribs and everything else, store employees did come stand over me but it was only another lady customer that actually tired to help me up and get me somewhere to sit which there was no place so she got me a cart to hang onto which helped I was pretty shaken........I think it was store employee Stephine that took my info and said they would be calling me to see how I am doing, well it's 2/24/25 and I have not heard anything from anyone from Meijer, I think the fear of a law suit is more concerning to them, then how I am doing, pretty sad

Kind of a mess with all tthe renovating and still long lines even at 10pm. Meijer should at least have enough self check outs to have no lines..cant blame lack of workers on that.

It's a shame this location has gotten so bad I had to stop buying meat from them because they lie on expiration dates and have sold expired meat and food numerous times there's never anything on the shelves anymore and looks like they frankly just stopped giving a damn. This used to be a great location to shop at. There is a handful of great cashiers there I will say that. I really hope this store gets it back together but I doubt it I highly suggest driving the extra few miles to the canton or livonia location or even the Belleville one pretty much anyone around the area except this one.

I used to do most of my shopping at Kroger, but I really like the wider aisles, wider parking spots, mperks is awesome-especially when you get your prescriptions filled at the pharmacy (they're a nice group of professionals to deal with as well). Personalized coupons each month based on previous purchases tracked thru your mperks. Their weekly sales are just as good, if not better, than other local chains. Kroger doesn't stock their shelves well, especially on sale items. Now I prefer Meijer over Kroger.

Whoever is in charge of making sure items are in stock should be fired. In the past couple years, the person responsible for keeping the store stocked has failed miserably and needs to be replaced immediately. There are hundreds of items CONSTANTLY out of stock and never reordered by their stock manager. The only way this is going to change is us bringing it to their attention. Every Shipt shopper has agreed with me and say the same thing.

Put an order in online for groceries the night before and everything was efficient! The worker, was right on time and brought my groceries out in these blue crates, ensuring my food was handled with care. She was also very nice.
That same night, I had to cancel my grocery order and the Meijer in Northville because they were WAY behind AGAIN. My order was to be picked up between 6p-7p and they told me as I waited in the parking lot, that it would be 8:30 p until I received my groceries, while others were getting theirs as I sat and watched. This is the 2nd time this has happened. The worker was unapologetic and just kept saying they were behind. The manager was apologetic, but not much. She offered a small coupon for my next order. I told them there would be no more orders at this store for me. When they bring my groceries out, it's always in a basket and sloppily put in my car. I order there due to it being close. I will use Westland now because so far they have impressed me enough to drive there from where I live. Westland Meijer Pick up order rocks!

This is a fine Meijer, It is in a convenient location and has everything you could need. However, the bottle return hours are completely crazy and ultimately what has caused me to leave this review. The store closes at midnight, why is the bottle room closed at 8:30 p.m? It is inconvenient and very annoying driving to the store to walk in over 3 hours before the store closes, and I can't return bottles.
