Kappa is a small family-owned store that offers a wide variety of Korean foods and products. The store is known for its homemade kimchi, which many customers find delicious and flavorful. Kimchi is available in different sizes and is priced around $11, with some reviews praising its taste and quality. In addition to kimchi, the store features a selection of Korean ingredients, including steamed buns, radish pickles, and Korean seaweed, often surpassing larger grocery stores in quality. Customers also enjoy their homemade dishes like gimbap, japchae, and fried chicken, which is described as tasty and well-prepared. The store operates a small kitchen where Korean food is prepared twice a week, and they also provide ingredient kits for home cooking, making it easy for customers to recreate Korean meals. The store has a friendly atmosphere with helpful staff willing to explain products and assist with questions. It carries hard-to-find items such as Nishiki rice, Kewpie mayo, and fresh chili paste, which are appreciated by shoppers. The produce section features better mushrooms than some larger stores. While the store used to carry more Japanese items, recent visits show a shift towards more Korean products, which some customers enjoy. Overall, Kappa is praised for its great local store vibe, quality products, and friendly service, making it a favorite for those seeking authentic Korean ingredients and homemade dishes.
