Really good at clearing codes 2 days after we got it 1st day we drove it after Bill delivered it the engine light came on. He came over cleared the codes. He cleared the codes a few times never fixed the problem. Car is in the dealership. Needs a transmission plus a couple of engine insures. Dealership wants $5100.00 to fix it paid $4300.00 for it never again will we buy or recommend this place. This place screwed us good.

This place sold me a lemon!!! Purchased a car for my son last July. The only issue I was told about was the gas gauge not working and still decided to purchase knowing that. Since purchasing this car, it has been in the shop repeatedly. First the car was leaking what I thought was oil about a week after purchase, turns it was a power steering leak and bad power steering, then the serpentine belt broke because the A/C unit was bad and burned a hole in the belt. Had to replace the whole a/c unit plus a new belt, now it’s in the shop for a oil and transmission leak and the muffler is completely rusted out. Not to mention we still have to get the gas gauge fixed. So far I have put over $2000 into that car plus the $4000 we purchased it for. I will never purchase another car from this place again. Yes they were professional but they are not completely honest about the condition of the car. Matter of fact I’m willing to bet they would not have told me about the gas gauge if it wasn’t obvious to notice.

Do not purchase a vehicle from Payless used cars. Carmen and Bill do shady business. I purchased a car May 2020 and have yet to receive the proper title. They give me the run around everytime I go up there. Full of excuses and empty promises. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.

I bought a Jeep and it was delivered however it malfunctioned upon arrival. Paul came to my home and towed it. It took some time and they were VERY patient with my many calls and my edgy attitude at times. In the end they came through in grand fashion!!! I have an 06' Ford Escape and I couldn't be happier!! Bill and Paul are TOP NOTCH!!! My faith in all things related to buying used autos is restored!!! These guys come highly recommended by me and I'm a guy I wouldn't want to deal with! Lol. Thank you Bill and Paul for your patience and seeing this deal through to a happy resolution! It's when things go wrong that you see whom your dealing with and I'm glad I was dealing with the folks at Payless!!!

Bought a Dodge Ram that had transmission issues that I didnt find out about until after I left the lot and payed for the vehicle (slipping gears, shuttle shifting). Bill, the owner, also test drove my vehicle a couple weeks after the sale and when he saw the transmission issues for himself he reccomended a transmission repair shop and told me there's nothing he can do about it since the sale already happend. I understand that some things are out of human control but the issues shifting were likely masked just long enough for a short, gentle, test drive using some "anti-slip" additive. I also have serious corrosion issues on the frame and other parts of the suspension that are most definitely from being stored on a gravel lot for way way too long without being driven. Thoroughly inspect whatever car your looking to purchase and maybe even get a mechaincs opinion because you might find out some things the hard way. All sales are AS IS.
