DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR IN TO WAYLAND FORD DEALERSHIP!Straight up liars trying to get your money for services you don't need. Brought my car in for a BS $300 diagnostics and was told there was metal in my transmission fluid and I'd need a new torque converter. Quoted me $4800 to fix it. I decided for a second opinion. The next day my car was acting worse. Had someone else look at my transmission fluid to find that not only was there NO metal of any kind in it, Ford also did not put the plug back in correctly and it was leaking out. Which is why my car was suddenly worse. After fixing that (ended up just needing a fluid change for only $200) we went back to Ford with the issue of their false findings and almost killing my transmission completely, (even brought them a sample of the fluid we took) they had no apology and said they never said there was metal in the fluid. Even though it is literally typed up saying there is on the paper they gave me when I picked it up. Seriously. Crooks. Lesson learned the hard way.

The dealership is ran down the crappiest dealership I've been to. I would think with associated with fords name they would be held to a higher standard. Had my car serviced for a noice it was making they charged me $300 and never gave me a invoice(never been to a dealership without getting a receipt or invoice) for them to look at it that's a little excessive. It ended up being air shutters being broken they quoted me $3,500 to fix it I told them I want a break down on what they will do with a part list. I was told by Tom the service advisor he will get it to me that following Monday that never happened I called and Tom told me he forgot and I'll have it by Friday well it's been a week and half I've yet to hear from them. How can you quote someone $3,500 repair when you don't even have a break down of the repair. Very disappointed service center I ended up taking it to another ford dealership that charged me to look at it for $100 and $1,300 to fix the same issue. I will never recommend that dealer to anyone and I'll spread the word on how my experience was with them.

BEWARE BEWARE!! Bought a car online from this dealership and after Transport truck dropped off the battery was dead, tires dry rotted, had been completely misrepresented and was lied to about the condition of a higher end car. I wouldn't buy anything from them especially without having someone trustworthy look at it. Because they are not trustworthy at all.

07/14/23 - 8 am: My F-150 had a bad transmission fluid leak. Called and spoke with Tom Rowlette @ Ed Koehn Ford of Wayland. Was told I could bring my vehicle in for a diagnostic. Brought the vehicle in at 9 am.07/14/23 - 5 PM: Called and spoke with Tom. He said his mechanic peeked at it and it looked like it might be coming from the transmission cooling lines.07/15/23 - Spoke with Tom. He said it was definitely the cooling lines and he would plan on having the vehicle back to me in a few days. So far so good!07/17/23 - 1 PM: Tom called and provided me with 2 options: A - Fix trans lines + flush/fill fluid for $2000; or, option B - include the work from option A, plus replace the spark plugs, flush/fill engine coolant, and replace the rear diff gear oil for $3200, which he called a significant discount. Told him I needed time to process, which I did. Told him I would call him back. 07/17/23 - 1:30 PM: Called a local repair shop in Zeeland and asked them for a "rough" quote on replacing the transmission cooler lines on a 2013 Ford F-150. He said he just did one last week and it was around $450-500 out the door (Assuming after-market parts and not OEM).07/17/23 - 2 PM: Called Tom back and expressed my concern about the price of his quote. Told him I would need to see a detailed quote in writing before I would agree to anything. Asked him to e-mail me one, and he said he would.07/18/23 - 10:30 AM. Tom emailed me a price breakdown of the parts. All of which were around 100% markup from what I could purchase OEM parts from any dealer or any online retailer. Not to mention they were charging me 3x retail for transmission fluid, which I would have already been paying for if I agreed the flush/fill they suggested and wanted to charge me an additional $360 for.07/18/23 - 2:30 PM. Sent Tom an email follow-up explaining that I didn't think it was fair that I should pay a 100% or greater markup on parts and told him that I called around to other shops and they quoted 4 to 5 hours to do the job. Asked if he would drop the price of parts from $700 to $450 and labor from $840 to $700.07/18/23 - 3:00 PM Tom called me and said he "spoke with his parts dept". and they would do 436.70 for parts. I asked him if he would lower the labor rate and he said that's what the Ford Repair Manual calls for (6 hours of labor). I told him I would be coming to pick up my vehicle.07/18/23 - 4:30 PM. Had a tow truck come and tow my F-150 to another mechanic who wasn't trying to upsell or take advantage of me. Paid my $150 diagnostic fee and bid Tom Rowlette and his shady practices farewell. Reviewed my Invoice from Ed Koehn of Wayland when I got home and, in Tom's notes, he claims he only quoted me for 5 hours of labor. Whatever helps you sleep at night, I guess.

The service department was great. I called for a appointment late on Friday and I got a appointment for Monday morning and the final bill was less than the estimated. The only surprise I got was the did not check and correct tire pressure as they usually do.

This place is bad bought a brand new escape but within the first 25000 miles the abs module goes bad. My all wheel drive don't work and it grinds when it trys to auto shift in all wheel drive sometimes around curves and stalls out. They tell me it safe to drive and part will be here in 3 months well after stalling out around turns and sharp curves. Ford decided that's not safe now and should not drive it. I absolutely hate this place please avoid no loaner just months with no ride and keep on making payments but it's ok bumming rides from family and friends while this dealership just holds on to my car for ever.
