We wanted to get some Uhaul moving pods for our move out of state. The manager, Bonnie, had us take pictures of our road and driveway and any turn or dip in the road. She decided it would be ok to deliver them after seeing the pictures. When she showed up with the pods and parked in front of our house she said she couldn't deliver them and gave me a hundred reasons why she couldn't put them in our driveway. I waited for the money to come back into our account before posting this review. You just never know. If you need a moving pod, go to Pods! It's more expensive, but they can put them anywhere very quickly!

Very inefficient. Wait times even for small purchases are ridiculous! The staff sits at a station and ignores customers.....only come when I HAVE to and don't have a deadline to be somewhere because I would never make it!

I went online, got the app, pulled in at my appointed time, endlessly frustrated by the app, finally finished, found the truck supposedly with key ready to go, no GD key. Now in line behind 5 people waiting for an hour to get the key. Wtf

The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is that I actually got what I came in for. That aside, this business seems to be operated for the personal amusement and social mixing of the staff. They were off-putting, non-communicative and it seemed as though I was an annoyance. I'm speaking specifically about the counter staff, the first line of customer interaction. With each of the two encounters these staffers, they appeared to be disinterested or challenging. They seemed to be far more interested in carrying on conversations between themselves, laughing and poking fun with one another. Expecting an answer to questions felt like I was asking for state secrets... I ask a question, they stare for some uncomfortable amount of moments and then offer an unintelligible response. At times, they were slouched in their chairs, leaning back, not looking at me at all. It almost felt like they were daring me to ask another question. The issues were all about attitude, and their attitude was not very welcoming. Not a great customer experience.

The move went smoothly in Murray, UT. I received morning calls 24 hrs before they dropped off the u-boxes and 24 hrs before they picked them up. There were zero issues. The transport across the country went well, too, and only took a few days. Then my U-boxes got to Waterford, and things got a bit more difficult. Here's a partial list: 1) one U-box magically became too heavy to deliver to the home. Again, no problems in UT or going across the country, but suddenly too heavy now. 2) I rented a uhaul truck to empty the U-box that was too heavy. Even though I scheduled 48 hrs in advance to gain access to the U-box, I had to wait an hour at the facility for someone to bring it out of storage. To the credit of U-haul's national office, I was refunded $200 to cover my lost time and truck rental fee. 3) My U-boxes have been at the Waterford facility for 17 days. I'm sure they are busy, but shouldn't someone who shelled out 6K for this move be given quicker service? I'm not talking red carpet, just a little quicker, maybe?

I scheduled a move several months out and U-Haul still pushed my delivery date twice. They also refused home delivery (the main reason I chose Uhaul) on the spot and I was only able to get my items by going to their warehouse. My storage pod was not properly equipped, resulting in a great deal of damage. I spent hours trying to reach customer service and they were unresponsive. Finally, I was charged for an extra month on my pod despite having been finished with them already. Truly shocking and horrible experience, start to finish.

Theses are trying times. I needed a trailer hitch installed and this location was able to schedule me fairly quickly. On the day of installation they were able to complete the job in a timely fashion. The technician was very friendly and informative. Really appreciated their service.

Made an appointment to have a hitch installed. After a few hours the owner called and explained that he did not have the tools to complete the job and that I would need to take it elsewhere for work prior to install. When I arrived to pick up my car, I had the tech *write down* exactly what needed to be done. It seems what the owner told me and what the tech told me differed (miscommunication, it happens, no big deal). I took my car to a dealer for the work with the note. They explained the issues on the note were not present and they simply spent 5 minutes cleaning out the bolt holes with a drill. After spending 20-30 minutes on hold 6 separate times in this span of a week between the initial install attempt and the dealership visit, failing to receive a response through e-mail, online chat, or their messaging notes service, I decided to drive out to the U-Haul location to ask for a refund because I now preferred for the dealer to finish the job. The owner was called up front to speak with me and seemed to take my request as a personal affront. Instead of acknowledging that there may have been a disconnect between what he said and what the tech said, he told me I was completely wrong, he never said the issues I presented the dealership were present (likely true, I honestly had a hard time in understanding him on the phone, hence my decision to confirm with the tech and get it in writing). He continued to raise his voice, speak over me, exasperated that I was upset that 'the dealership had better tools' than him (I didn't care about the tools, just the crappy customer service and his attitude at this point). My simple decision to Just go with someone else because of my experience up to that point was not acceptable. I couldn't explain myself, as he kept on loud enough that the customer next to me had issues hearing the employee in front of her. I watched two other customers come in to complain that day (one to the point of a screaming match with another employee). This does not seem to be a one off. Ignoring the miscommunication, or the fact that they may be completely competent, save yourself the customer service frustration and run. Luckily I'm only out a few hours of my time and some blood pressure points.

I called and received a quote for trailer hitch wiring. The following week when I called back to schedule, another person quoted me $90 more.

I had a lot of moving issues earlier in August, and they made it much worse.. The AC was broken so it was really really hot in there, the lack of communication they have in the location was terrible they told me they didn't have a certain kind of pick up truck and tried to make me get a more expensive one even though I could see the keys available on the back wall, I call uhaul to reserve a truck and customer service tells me that one is actually available and reserved it for me so I walk right back in and let them know customer service says that truck is available at this location and she's just like oh I didn't know... On top of that their lines are outrageous, I waited over 20mins in line just for the person to help me and have an attitude, and help 2 other people while I'm at her desk. Moral of the story - I would rather carry my couch on my back then Support that location again. Won't be back

Needed a place to store some items from my daughters place while she is in search of a new apartment. Decided to head to U-Haul as they are very close to my house to rent some storage. When I got there they informed me that not only did they need my phone number and address, but they required an additional address and 2 more phone numbers. I chose not to rent with them, as I felt this was unreasonable. Asking for my personal address and phone was reasonable, even a secondary phone number in case there was a problem and they were not able to contact me was a reasonable request. Where I had the biggest problem was the 2nd address and 3rd phone number(This was not optional). To me this is an unreasonable request, as I would have to involve a 3rd party; since I would need their address; and a 3rd phone number. There is no reasonable justification for this. I filed a complaint on their website, and they did call me back within an hour. The person who called was pleasant and told me that it was in case of emergencies, and while I can understand emergencies, that in my opinion was handled with the 2nd phone number. They also said that they had people who wanted others to be able to get into the storage. I found these reasons to be thin, especially since the person who rented it has the ability to give out the key or combination as they saw fit, and would not have needed to inform anyone, nor would that other person have needed to inform the staff when they did access the storage. In the end I chose to go with CubeSmart as they were at the same price for the same sized unit, and did not require unnecessary information.

We didn't have a reservation but it was mostly a very easy process for a short term van rental. The woman at the counter was friendly and professional. Only 1 small issue which was remedied by actually looking the van over. The pictures U-haul used were not the same as the van they presented. Theirs didn't show detail of dents and scratches also theirs showed a small panel on, but it was actually missing. Do yourself a favor and look it over to dispute before leaving premises. So minus 1 star for that

We had to quickly find a place to rent a trailer to haul a car on short notice. This U-Haul was very easy to rent from and they helped to hitch the trailer to our truck. Since we only needed the trailer for a few hours rather than overnight, they let us rent the trailer for a day rather than charge us for 2 days as long as we dropped the trailer off before they opened the next day. While a little out of our way, we will definitely return if we ever need to rent a trailer. The place was very neat, organized, and well lit.

**Business Warning** So I own a Chevy 2018 Trax that I wanted to have a trailer hitch installed... so of course, first place you think would be U-Haul... so middle of last week, I went in and they quoted me a price of $215.00 installed including the hitch. Thursday, I woke up and found that the parent company I work from is Draw-Tite that makes the same hitch I was going to buy and they just sent me one... I thought great... It would just be the cost of labor for them to install it so Friday, I went in.. informed them that I had the hitch and wanted to know the cost of labor to install it... They quoted my a price of $239.00.... I reminded them that I had the hitch all ready and they acknowledged it. Now earlier that week, I had confirmed that an hour of labor was around $65.00.. so I inquired why it was more expensive to have the hitch installed if I had my own hitch.. after getting three different answers. I just walked out... found a local garage and it will be installed Tuesday. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. K

#UHAULFAMOUS Still here! Four hours Monday, half an hour this morning, two-and-a-half hours and counting for this attempt at properly installing a hitch on my station wagon. Not to mention, our family drove nearly 300 miles without tail lights on the trailer, lost two full days of holiday-weekend vacation, burnt one night of campground reservation (so far), and got pulled over for unsafe towing. This time, they've taken it off the rack and back on three? four? times (so far) and tried to hook it to our trailer. Fail, fail, fail. Met another family here also on their third attempt. THIS LOCATION NEEDS TO STOP INSTALLING HITCHES. LATER THAT SAME DAY: They ultimately blamed it on the trailer, so we went and switched trailers. Guess what?! NOT THE TRAILER. Now it's too late to take it to the car dealer (which I should have done to begin with). They refunded over $200 of the cost, but it doesn't make up for ruining our weekend. Now we're headed back to the UHaul (third time today) to force them to fix this damn thing just so we can get it home to unload! STILL HERE, GOT SNACKS: Since I've sat here all day, I've watched the same giant pile of trash sit in the corner, seen numerous people denied their online reservations, and the smarmy manager has lost his cool now twice--once stomping out in a hilarious door-banging tantrum. Someone needs to hire Tramone away from here. He's a gem in a dung heap. STILL HERE: They hooked our car up to Uhaul's trailer. So now TWO 2019 pop-up campers and coincidentally the very uhaul trailer they hooked to my car all are busted. Watch out folks, it's a road hazard epidemic!l AND WE LEFT. GM Zach Shitfuck? Shattuck? refused to fix it, refused to honor the extended warranty (good even if your dog chews the wires!), and put our family back on the road in an unsafe vehicle. There's serious liability here. I left a message with the company president, Jeff Steffani, who is either honest enough or audacious enough to put his cell phone number on the front door of the establishment. Let's see what the next day or two brings.
