I really like Pontiac Country club. It has an interesting assortment of holes that were challenging yet rewards good shots. I holed one from about a hundred yards out. It was a good day!

Cool little course tucked away off the beaten path and easy to miss. This course was a fun play, not extraordinarily long, but had a few adventure holes. We played the front 9 after an outing had played in the morning, so it was relatively open. Haven't played the back yet but based on the front, I think I'll be back to try it!

Pretty good value. Greens and fairways usually good, tee boxes can be iffy. Easily walkable.

Decent course. Good pace of play. The only issue I had was DO NOT USE THE BALL WASHERS! The water in them smells worse than a zombi corpse vomiting a dead rat!

Staff members were extremely rude kept telling us to hurry up when we were only 15 mins off the pace. We had a woman in our group, right off the first tee box the starter made a sexist comment and said can she even hit that far? Staff members kept driving right up to me and my group right before we were taking our next shots telling us to hurry up as if that is going to improve our game. At the turn we asked the group behind us if we were playing slow and they said our pace was perfectly fine and they even were told to step up the pace. Staff members then tried to rush us back to the 10th hole when we were just using the bathroom. Staff said maybe you should golf better, only the best golfers come out on Sunday morning as if Tiger Woods plays here in his free time. Last time I checked $54 is $54 and my money is deserved at any other golf course other than this one. Been to plenty other golf courses and played at the same pace on a Sunday morning and was not spoken to once about my pace off play. Ruined my weekend and was a complete waste of money can’t even enjoy my golf round being rushed through the course. As multiple other reviews state the same complaints even 3 years back shows they aren’t going to change anything. Absolutely will never come here again.

The course is nice and is priced well, but the club house attendant always has a terrible attitude. Called early to see if they had some lefty clubs to rent for my friend who was going to be in town. He said there were some, and when I got there to check in, he told us they didn't have any. After it was brought up that I confirmed it earlier, he let us rent them but was saying that they had been stolen in the past. I'm not sure why that is our problem, almost like he was insinuating that we were going to steal them. The guy has awful customer service.

Took our son for his birthday on a Monday and before we even teed off the ranger was yelling at us that we need to keep up because the group behind us wants to play 18.. I completely understand IF we were holding people up but he didn’t even give us an opportunity he just immediately started yelling at us because we were letting our son drive WHILE we were waiting for the group ahead of us so we could drive. Ruined the entire day and will never be going back. Not sure why the group behind us mattered so much more when we all paid the same amount to play. And for perspective the group behind us never had to wait on us even when we waited for the group ahead of us at several holes.

Course is great and beautiful. Issue was our group was being bothered multiple times by the starter, to the point we felt harassed as an all female group. We were playing 4 as a scramble with 2 riders and kept being told we were holding people up. We were golfing the fastest we could and definitely would have been slower if we were a foursome all playing our ball. We would not have been bothered if we were a group of men.

Course was great. Drinks were cheap. Fran on the beer cart was the highlight of the day.

Golfed there this past Saturday, and the course is good. The fairways are narrower than some others, but this helps you adjust your game to the course. One thing we were definitely not happy with was that there was no mention from the clubhouse or starter about a high school tournament taking place. Normally, we have no problem with such events and have encountered them elsewhere without issue, but Saturday was extremely frustrating.
On many holes, the kids in the tournament hit into or sliced badly into other fairways (it happens to all of us). However, most of them did not even look to see if it was clear before entering other fairways to find and hit their ball. They would just walk into other golfers' fairways and then stand there waiting for their own fairway to clear so they could hit back to it. Several of the adults following the kids around in carts were just as bad. They would drive across other golfers' fairways to reach whatever hole they wanted without looking to see if anyone was hitting in their direction.
Both of these issues occurred several times while we were either in the middle of teeing off or trying to hit down our fairways toward the greens. I would have expected that the people playing in the tournament, as well as the adults watching and coaching them, would understand and follow some basic golf etiquette.

This course is actually decent for the price. The downside is, they run leagues 2:30-6pm Monday - Friday, so don't plan on getting out on a weekday afternoon. Maybe in the future they could consider leaving a even part of a weekday open for open golf?
