Nathen absolutely transformed my skates with a 9 foot profile. I have been playing for 20 years and my skates went from awful to perfect. Wont go to anyone else.

She was nice and helpful. I asked if she would fit me, even though I couldn't afford to buy anything (I'm shopping used but I've never been fitted before). And she did fit me for free. Thank you, Perani's Hockey World!!

I haven’t played hockey in quite some time. Now that I have more time I want to start skating again. Kyle took a lot of time talking to me up front about my goals, measuring my feet and trying on a number of skates. All the while he listened to what I was saying. He and Nathan ultimately found me a great pair of skates that fit my budget. Definitely give them A+ for customer service. They have a great selection of equipment. Highly recommend this shop and the staff.

Just stopped in to buy a pair of Skates because my feet are real wide and just hard to find in my size. So I go to the 2 kids at the counter one was on his phone obviously too busy and the other was polite and helpful. When I asked the 2 boy at the desk so how does this work no skates will fit me here ?? Do we special order or?? He said how does what work ?? I said bye, if you’re that oblivious and you’re phone is more important than a customer..??? Sad

If i could leave a rating for sharpening only it’d be 0 stars. Steel was angled so bad on both skates with the outside edge being high and uneven throughout the runner. Felt like i forgot how to skate. Three stars only because the selection is good, staff is fairly friendly, and they did bake (and sharpen) my skates on the spot.

Fantastic customer service! The staff is very friendly and helpful. They were kind enough to check to see if the item we needed was in stock, when I called. Then when we arrived, the staff member helped my daughter try on the helmet.

Just stopped in to get my skates sharpened. Three guys at the desk, one of them was on the phone. One kid politely asked if I was looking to get my skates sharpened he walked them back to the sharpening area and said it'll be a few minutes as a guy that sharpens skates is on the phone. No problem. After walking around the store for 10 minutes the guy that sharpens skates was still on the phone and I could clearly hear him. He was talking about his salary and paid time off vacation pay, medical leave, etc etc. Obviously a personal call to their HR department or something. After walking around for another 5 minutes and him still on the phone I just left. He clearly saw me and knew that I was there to get my skates sharpened this is not acceptable. I'll most likely never be back to this location.

As far as hockey stores go, Perani’s has always been my last choice for anything other than tape/wax. We’ve started to get mixed experiences at the other local stores lately as well so decided to try them again.The staff at this location were friendly, but I’m extremely disappointed in the manager at this location. We had a defective pair of skates on our hands and he tried to tell us that they were fine and to “use a mallet” to secure the blade into the holder. Exact words.We let him fit us into a few different pairs of skates after finally convincing him to take the skates back, but my son hated nearly every pair he put us into. He gave really specific feedback and the manager just kept trying to push a specific pair of skates at us.After finding someone at another company that actually took the time to take measurements instead of relying ONLY on the Bauer scanner, we had a much better experience and bought from them.This is an okay place for anything you don’t need help with, but I wouldn’t buy skates here.

I came into this store a few days looking to buy a new stick for a son. Usually when I come into a Perani's store, I am always greeted by someone at the front desk. The guy was at the front desk didn't even look up from his phone to greet me or ask if I needed any help. Nick helped me out to find a stick and seemed to know what he was doing. When I was being checked out for the stick, the same guy who was at the front who didn't ask if I needed anything was the one who rang me up. This guy, Nathan, seemed like he was angry and was giving me some slight attitude, which I didn't think was reasonable. Other than that I had a good experience at this location and will be coming back.

While checking hockey gear this morning, before a fly-away to the NAPHL tournament in Michigan, my son noticed his hockey helmet was damaged. We tried to reshape the helmet and get the cage back into place with no luck. His flight from San Diego to Detroit doesn't land until 10 PM this evening, and his first game is at 8 AM tomorrow morning. On a wing and a prayer, I called Perani's to see if they could help. Nick and Lance were fantastic! They confirmed they had a replacement helmet and cage for me to purchase. Now the only issue was how to get it to my son before his o'dark early game tomorrow. I was hoping there was a delivery service, or I was thinking of hiring an Uber/Lyft to pick it up. Lance kindly offered to drop the helmet off at the hotel. Lance's and Nick's generosity, kindness and reaction to my hysteria (lol), was above and beyond! I cannot thank them enough for coming through for our hockey family.
